Pre-fitted with the universally popular Deans (HCT) high-current connector, this battery pack eliminates the need for connector soldering or modification, making it an ideal drop-in solution for setups already equipped with Deans connectors. The compact yet substantial form factor, measuring just 155 x 48 x 28mm, ensures it fits comfortably into most modern RC vehicle chassis designs without compromising weight distribution. At 450 grams, this battery strikes an excellent balance between energy density and portability, making it suitable for hobbyists aged 14 and upwards who want serious performance without unnecessary bulk.
RC Model Shop stocks the Radient range because these batteries offer genuine value for UK RC enthusiasts who demand quality without premium pricing. The 6000mAh capacity provides extended running times compared to smaller packs, whilst the 30C rating delivers sufficient punch for acceleration and dynamic driving without the complexity of higher-specification setups. This is a practical, no-nonsense battery pack that gets the job done reliably, whether you're practising your driving skills, competing with friends, or enjoying casual RC adventures.
Key Features
- 3S LiPo Chemistry (11.1V Nominal) — The three-cell configuration delivers 11.1 volts nominal output, which is the industry standard for mid-range electric RC applications and provides excellent compatibility with the vast majority of ESCs and RC vehicles available in the UK market today.
- 6000mAh Capacity — This substantial 6000 milliamp-hour capacity ensures extended runtime compared to smaller battery packs, allowing you to enjoy longer driving sessions before needing to recharge, which translates to more fun and better value from each charge cycle.
- 30C Discharge Rating — The 30C rate provides sufficient continuous current output for spirited driving and dynamic acceleration without throttling performance, making this battery suitable for general-purpose RC use including both speed-focused and technical driving applications.
- Deans (HCT) High-Current Connector — Factory pre-fitted with the Deans connector, this battery eliminates soldering requirements and ensures immediate compatibility with any RC setup already using this popular connector standard, saving time and potential frustration during installation.
- Soft Case Construction — The protective soft case provides essential safeguarding for the battery cells during storage, transport, and use, helping to preserve the battery's integrity and extend its lifespan through everyday wear and tear.
- Compact Dimensions — Measuring 155 x 48 x 28mm, this battery pack is engineered to fit within the constraints of modern RC chassis whilst maintaining optimal weight distribution for balanced handling characteristics.
- Reliable Radient Brand — Radient batteries are recognised across the UK RC community as dependable, quality products that deliver consistent performance throughout their service life without premature failure or capacity loss.
Technical Performance
The Radient LiPo 3S 6000mAh delivers solid technical performance characteristics suitable for recreational and semi-competitive RC driving. With an 11.1V nominal output and 6000mAh capacity, the battery provides approximately 66.6 watt-hours of energy storage, offering meaningful runtime for most standard 1/10-scale electric RC cars and trucks. The 30C continuous discharge rating translates to a maximum safe discharge current of 180 amps, which is more than adequate for brushless ESCs in the 60-120A range that are commonly paired with mid-range RC setups. The soft case construction protects the individual lithium polymer cells from physical damage whilst remaining lightweight enough not to compromise your model's performance. The engineering emphasises reliability and practical usability rather than cutting-edge peak performance, making this battery an excellent foundation battery for any RC enthusiast building a versatile fleet. The Deans (HCT) connector is a high-quality, high-current rated design that minimises voltage drop and ensures efficient power delivery from battery to ESC with minimal losses. This battery is compatible with any standard LiPo charger featuring a balance connector (typically an XH connector on Radient packs), allowing flexible charging options across multiple chargers throughout the UK RC community.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the Radient 3S 6000mAh LiPo suitable for beginners and first-time RC users? — Yes, this battery is well-suited to hobbyists aged 14 and upwards who are new to RC. The 3S voltage and 30C rating provide a good balance of performance and safety for learning driving techniques. However, beginners should ensure they have a suitable LiPo charger and understand basic LiPo safety practices including never leaving the battery unattended whilst charging and storing it in a cool, dry place away from flammable materials.
- What RC vehicles can I use this 3S LiPo battery with? — This battery is compatible with any electric RC car, truck, buggy or other RC vehicle designed to accept 3S LiPo batteries (11.1V systems) and featuring a Deans (HCT) connector. This includes most modern 1/10-scale electric RC vehicles from major manufacturers. If you're unsure whether your specific model is compatible, our team at RC Model Shop is happy to help — contact us on 01543 577278 or visit our Walsall store for advice.
- How long will this battery last on a single charge? — Runtime depends entirely on the specifications of your RC vehicle, particularly the power draw of your motor and ESC settings. With a 6000mAh capacity, you can expect reasonable running times on most 1/10-scale brushless setups, typically 15-25 minutes of moderate to spirited driving. High-speed driving or larger motors will reduce runtime accordingly.
- Do I need to balance charge this LiPo battery? — Balance charging is recommended to maintain cell health and extend the battery's lifespan. The Radient battery features a balance connector that allows your charger to monitor and balance individual cell voltages during charging, preventing cell imbalance that could reduce performance or damage the pack prematurely.
- What is the difference between this 30C battery and higher C-rating alternatives? — The C-rating indicates the battery's maximum safe continuous discharge current. A 30C rating is adequate for general recreational RC use and provides good value. Higher C-ratings (50C, 100C) provide greater peak current capacity, benefiting high-performance racing setups with larger motors and more demanding ESCs, but come at higher cost. For standard hobbyist use, the 30C rating represents an optimal balance of performance and value.
- Is this battery waterproof? — Whilst LiPo batteries themselves have some inherent water resistance due to their sealed cell construction, this battery should not be intentionally submerged or exposed to water. If your RC vehicle gets wet during use, remove and inspect the battery afterwards, ensuring all connectors are dry before recharging.
- How should I store this battery when not in use? — LiPo batteries should be stored in a cool, dry location at partial charge (approximately 50% of full capacity) when not in use for extended periods. Store the battery in a dedicated LiPo storage bag or fireproof container, away from flammable materials and out of reach of children. Never store a fully charged or fully discharged battery for long periods, as this accelerates degradation.
