Key Features

  • 1350mAh Capacity — This capacity provides sufficient energy for extended flight times or runtime on electric RC vehicles, offering a sweet spot between weight and usable power for lightweight RC builds and small-scale models.
  • 2S Configuration (7.4V) — Two cells in series deliver 7.4 volts nominal, making this battery compatible with a vast range of RC models, ESCs, and motor combinations commonly used in UK RC shops and hobby-grade setups.
  • 30C Continuous Discharge Rating — The 30C rating means this battery can safely deliver 40.5 amps of continuous current (1350mAh × 30C = 40.5A), enabling dynamic acceleration and sustained performance for both racing and general recreation flying or driving.
  • Deans (HCT) Connector — This gold-plated, high-current connector is the de facto standard across the RC industry, ensuring your battery connects directly to your RC model, charger, or XT adapter without compatibility issues or need for proprietary connectors.
  • Compact Dimensions (72 x 36 x 15mm) — Measuring just 72mm long, 36mm wide, and 15mm thick, this battery fits into tight battery bays and compact RC chassis where full-size batteries simply won't fit, making it perfect for space-conscious RC designs and miniature models.
  • Lightweight at 79 Grams — Weighing less than 80 grams, this battery keeps your RC model's weight distribution ideal and contributes minimal mass, which is critical for performance in small-scale RC racing, freestyle flying, or precision aerobatic aircraft.
  • Soft Case Protection Included — The battery arrives in a protective soft case, safeguarding against physical damage, moisture intrusion, and accidental short circuits during transport and long-term storage in your RC workshop or garage.
  • Age Recommendation 14+ — This battery is recommended for users aged 14 and above, reflecting best practice in the RC hobby regarding safe handling of lithium-polymer cells and understanding of charging protocols and electrical safety.

Technical Performance

The Radient LiPo 2S 1350mAh 7.4V 30C battery represents genuine engineering excellence in the compact power category. Built with quality lithium-polymer cells, this pack delivers stable voltage output throughout the discharge cycle, maintaining consistent performance as your RC model draws power. The 30C discharge rating is not merely a specification—it represents the maximum sustained current the battery can deliver safely without thermal stress or cell degradation, making it suitable for aggressive flying or spirited RC vehicle driving. The nominal voltage of 7.4V (nominal per cell × 2) falls squarely within the compatibility window of most modern brushless motor and ESC combinations commonly found in UK RC retailers' offerings. Construction quality is evident in the robust Deans (HCT) connector, which features gold-plated contacts to minimise contact resistance and ensure efficient power transfer from battery to your RC model's speed controller. The soft case packaging protects the delicate cell structure during shipping and provides ongoing protection during storage, helping prevent the common failure modes that can compromise LiPo battery lifespan—physical punctures, moisture exposure, and balance connector damage. For builders constructing compact RC vehicles with tight weight budgets, this 79-gram battery offers an exceptional power-to-weight ratio that will not compromise your model's responsiveness, agility, or flight characteristics.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What size RC models is the Radient 1350mAh 2S battery suitable for? — The 72 x 36 x 15mm footprint and compact weight make this battery ideal for small-scale RC cars, miniature quadcopters, lightweight RC aircraft, and any space-conscious RC build where battery bay dimensions are limited. The 1350mAh capacity is particularly well-suited to models weighing under 500 grams, though specific compatibility depends on your motor KV rating and desired flight or run time.
  • Is the Radient 2S LiPo compatible with standard RC chargers? — Yes, the Deans (HCT) connector is the industry standard, and this battery will connect directly to any modern RC LiPo charger available from UK retailers. The 2S configuration is universally supported by all current multi-chemistry chargers, making charging straightforward and hassle-free.
  • How long does this battery last on a single charge? — Runtime varies significantly depending on your RC model's motor size, ESC setting, flying style, and load. Broadly, expect 8-15 minutes of moderate flying or 10-20 minutes of relaxed RC car driving, though racing or aggressive manoeuvres will reduce this considerably.
  • What charger do I need for this battery? — Any LiPo-compatible charger supporting 2S batteries will work perfectly. This includes balance chargers, fast chargers, and multi-chemistry chargers commonly stocked by RC Model Shop and other UK RC retailers. Ensure your charger has a Deans (HCT) input or use an adapter cable.
  • Is this battery safe to use? — Lithium-polymer batteries are safe when handled correctly. Always charge on a fireproof mat or LiPo charging bag, never leave charging unattended, store in a cool environment, and inspect for swelling before use. The age recommendation of 14+ reflects the need for responsible handling and basic electrical safety awareness.
  • How does the 30C rating affect performance? — The 30C continuous discharge rating allows this battery to deliver 40.5 amps safely, providing sharp throttle response and dynamic acceleration. This rating ensures the battery won't become a performance bottleneck, even in aggressive RC applications, and prevents voltage sag under load.
  • What is the difference between 2S and 3S LiPo batteries? — A 2S battery uses two cells for 7.4V nominal voltage, whilst a 3S uses three cells for 11.1V nominal. The 3S will produce higher top speeds and more raw power but may exceed the voltage ratings of smaller ESCs and motors. The 2S is safer for smaller RC models and beginner-friendly setups.
  • Can I use this battery with my RC car or RC aircraft? — Yes, as long as your ESC and motor are rated for 2S LiPo (7.4V) operation. Check your ESC's voltage input range and motor's KV rating—most small-scale RC models fall within this compatibility window. The Deans connector means no adapters are required for standard setups.
