Overview
The Traxxas Spring, shock, White (GTR XX-Long) (0.762 rate Green) (1 pair) TRX7443 represents essential suspension tuning capability for RC enthusiasts across the UK who demand precision control over their vehicle's performance. These specialist shock springs are engineered specifically for 1/10 scale XX-long GTR shock systems, offering the precise rate adjustment needed to optimise handling characteristics across different track conditions and vehicle weight configurations. Whether you're running a Traxxas Rustler Ultimate VXL 4x4 brushless short course truck, a Slash Ultimate 4x4 VXL, or another compatible platform, these springs provide the suspension fine-tuning that separates competitive drivers from casual bashers.
Manufactured by Traxxas using high-quality spring steel with a durable white powder-coated finish, these springs deliver consistent performance and longevity. The 0.762 rate with green stripe identification makes it easy to identify your chosen spring rate during builds and maintenance. Available in pairs, this product allows you to upgrade both shock absorbers on your RC car, ensuring balanced suspension geometry and predictable handling. For UK RC car enthusiasts looking to take their vehicle setup to the next level, whether competing in organised events or enjoying weekend bashing sessions, suspension tuning springs are fundamental components that directly influence how your brushless RC truck or stadium truck responds to terrain changes and driving inputs.
The availability of different spring rates across the GTR range means you can compensate for lighter or heavier vehicle configurations, adjust for seasonal track changes, or adapt your suspension to match your driving style. This particular 0.762 rate green stripe option slots into the mid-range of available rates, making it suitable for a broad spectrum of driving conditions and vehicle setups when you need a balanced approach to suspension performance.
Key Features
- High-Quality Spring Steel Construction — These shock springs are manufactured from premium spring steel that maintains consistent rate characteristics across thousands of compression cycles, ensuring your suspension geometry remains predictable and reliable throughout extended bashing sessions or competitive racing.
- Durable White Powder-Coated Finish — The white powder-coat protects the underlying steel from corrosion and environmental damage whilst providing excellent visual contrast that makes spring identification easy during maintenance and setup work, particularly important when managing multiple spring rates in your RC workshop.
- 0.762 Rate Green Stripe Identification — The green stripe clearly marks this specific spring rate, eliminating confusion when switching between different suspension setups and ensuring you always install the correct springs for your intended driving purpose.
- XX-Long GTR Shock Compatibility — These springs are precisely engineered for 1/10 scale XX-long GTR shock absorbers, ensuring perfect fitment and optimal performance on compatible Traxxas vehicles including the Rustler Ultimate VXL 4x4 brushless models and Slash Ultimate 4x4 VXL short course trucks.
- Suspension Tuning Flexibility — By selecting different spring rates from the GTR range, you gain the ability to tune your suspension characteristics independently of other setup changes, allowing precise compensation for vehicle weight modifications or adaptation to varying track surfaces.
- Sold in Pairs — This package includes two springs, sufficient to upgrade both front and rear shock absorbers or to replace both shocks on one axle depending on your vehicle configuration, providing complete suspension coverage from a single purchase.
- Consistent Rate Performance — The higher the spring rate, the stiffer the spring and the more resistance it provides to compression, allowing you to adjust your vehicle's ride height, stability and responsiveness to suit your driving conditions and personal preference.
Technical Performance
The Traxxas GTR shock spring system represents a mature engineering solution refined through years of competitive RC racing and recreational use across Europe and North America. These 0.762 rate green stripe springs deliver medium-stiffness suspension characteristics suitable for drivers seeking a balanced setup that performs competently across varied terrain without requiring extreme tuning adjustments. The spring rate measurement of 0.762 sits comfortably in the middle-to-upper range of available GTR options, making these springs particularly versatile for both competitive drivers and enthusiast bashers who want reliable, predictable handling without constant setup changes. The high-quality spring steel construction ensures minimal rate drift even after extended use, maintaining your carefully-tuned suspension geometry across multiple racing seasons or countless weekend bashing sessions. When installed on compatible 1/10 scale vehicles such as the Traxxas Rustler Ultimate VXL 4x4 brushless short course truck or the Slash Ultimate 4x4 VXL brushless platform, these springs work in concert with the shock absorber damping characteristics to create a complete suspension package that absorbs impacts efficiently whilst maintaining consistent contact between tyres and terrain.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What vehicles are these Traxxas GTR shock springs compatible with? — These XX-long GTR springs are designed for 1/10 scale vehicles equipped with GTR shock absorbers. Compatible models include the Traxxas Rustler Ultimate VXL 4x4 brushless (both blue and green variants), the Traxxas Slash Ultimate 4x4 VXL brushless short course truck in orange, and other 1/10 scale Traxxas vehicles that use the GTR shock system. Always verify your vehicle's shock specification before purchasing to ensure compatibility.
- What does the 0.762 spring rate mean and how does it compare to other options? — The spring rate number indicates how many kilogrammes of force are needed to compress the spring by one centimetre. A 0.762 rate is considered a medium-to-stiff spring; higher numbers mean stiffer springs that resist compression more forcefully, whilst lower numbers provide softer, more compliant suspension. The green stripe on these springs makes them easy to distinguish from other available rates when managing multiple setups.
- How do I choose the right spring rate for my RC car? — Spring rate selection depends on your vehicle weight, driving style, track surface and desired handling characteristics. Lighter vehicles or drivers seeking a softer, more comfortable ride typically use lower rates, whilst heavier vehicles or competitive drivers wanting responsive, controlled handling often choose medium-to-high rates like this 0.762 option. Many UK RC enthusiasts start with mid-range rates then adjust based on track feedback and driving preferences.
- Why do shock springs matter for my RC vehicle's performance? — Shock springs are critical suspension components that directly affect your vehicle's ride height, body roll during cornering, impact absorption and overall stability. By tuning spring rates, you can adapt your suspension to different track surfaces, compensate for weight changes from battery upgrades or accessories, and match your vehicle's handling characteristics to your driving style, making springs among the most important tuning tools available to RC drivers.
- How often should I replace my shock springs? — High-quality spring steel springs like Traxxas GTR springs maintain their characteristics for many seasons of recreational use or competitive racing. However, springs should be inspected regularly for damage or deformation. If your vehicle exhibits signs of sagging, inconsistent ride height or uneven handling despite proper setup, spring replacement may be necessary.
- Are these springs suitable for beginners? — Yes, these GTR springs are appropriate for RC enthusiasts at all experience levels. Beginners benefit from starting with mid-range spring rates like this 0.762 option, which provides forgiving handling characteristics across varied terrain. As your skills and understanding of suspension tuning develop, you can experiment with alternative rates to refine your vehicle's performance further.
- What is the difference between GTR springs and other Traxxas spring types? — GTR springs are specifically designed for GTR shock absorbers, which are longer than standard shocks and provide improved suspension geometry on certain Traxxas platforms. GTR springs come in multiple rates for tuning flexibility, whereas some other Traxxas springs are fixed-rate designs. Always ensure you select springs specifically rated for your shock type to guarantee proper fitment.
