Overview

The Corally Shock Oil Ultra Pure Silicone 600 CPS is an essential maintenance product for RC car enthusiasts across the UK who demand precision performance from their shock absorbers. This 150ml bottle of ultra-pure silicone oil is specifically formulated to provide optimal damping characteristics for RC cars, buggies, trucks and crawlers. Whether you're a competitive racer fine-tuning your 1/10 scale buggy or a weekend basher maintaining your RC monster truck, having the correct shock oil viscosity is crucial for consistent handling and suspension performance.

Shock oil selection is one of the most overlooked aspects of RC car setup, yet it has a profound impact on how your vehicle handles in different conditions. The viscosity of your shock oil directly affects suspension response, cornering stability and overall ride quality. Team Corally has engineered this 600 CPS shock oil to deliver exceptional purity and consistency, ensuring that every drop performs identically to the last, making it ideal for both casual RC enthusiasts and serious competitors who need repeatable, predictable suspension behaviour on the track.

This ultra-pure silicone formulation stands out in the crowded RC maintenance market because it has been specifically designed without contaminants or additives that could compromise performance. For RC car UK buyers looking for a reliable, proven shock oil that works across multiple Corally vehicles and most aftermarket suspension systems, this product delivers professional-grade results at an accessible price point. The 150ml bottle provides enough oil for multiple shock rebuild and maintenance cycles, making it a cost-effective choice for regular RC hobbyists.

Key Features

  • Ultra Pure Silicone Formulation — This shock oil is manufactured to the highest purity standards, meaning it contains minimal impurities or degrading agents that could affect suspension performance over time, ensuring your shocks perform consistently across multiple driving sessions and seasonal changes.
  • 600 CPS Viscosity Grade — The 600 centistoke viscosity rating is a medium-weight oil designed for balanced suspension response across a wide range of RC vehicles and track conditions, making it versatile enough for both on-road and off-road applications including buggies, trucks and crawlers.
  • Precisely Measured Viscosity — Team Corally uses certified viscosity measurement standards to ensure that every bottle maintains the exact 600 CST specification, which means you can confidently swap shocks between vehicles knowing the damping characteristics remain identical and predictable.
  • 150ml Capacity — The generous 150ml bottle provides sufficient volume for multiple shock absorber rebuilds and maintenance cycles, reducing the frequency of re-ordering and offering better value for money compared to smaller containers.
  • 100% Pure Silicone Oil — Unlike blended oils or products with synthetic additives, this is pure silicone oil with no cutting agents or dilutants, which means better thermal stability and more consistent performance across varying ambient temperatures during outdoor RC driving sessions.
  • Compatible with Standard RC Shocks — This shock oil works with virtually any RC car shock absorber system that uses silicone oil, including suspension systems on Corally vehicles and numerous aftermarket components, making it a universal maintenance solution for your RC fleet.
  • Professional Grade Quality — Manufactured to meet the same standards used by Team Corally factory racing teams, this shock oil delivers competition-level consistency without the premium price tag, perfect for UK RC enthusiasts who want professional results on their home tracks.

Technical Performance

The Corally Shock Oil Ultra Pure Silicone 600 CPS represents an engineering-focused approach to RC suspension maintenance. At 600 centistokes viscosity, this oil occupies the middle range of typical RC shock fluids, providing balanced damping characteristics suitable for diverse driving conditions and vehicle types. The ultra-pure silicone formulation ensures minimal temperature degradation, which is particularly important during extended driving sessions in varied UK weather conditions. The oil's molecular stability means it maintains consistent viscosity whether you're driving your RC buggy on a hot summer's day or during cooler autumn months. The 150ml volume in the container is precisely calculated to match the internal oil capacity of most modern RC shock absorbers, with enough excess for top-ups and maintenance. The purity specification prevents the accumulation of microscopic debris or oxidation byproducts that could cause shock seals to degrade prematurely. When properly installed in your RC car's shocks, this oil creates a sealed hydraulic system that responds predictably to suspension compression and rebound, translating into more controlled handling characteristics and improved traction on technical track sections.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does 600 CPS viscosity mean for my RC car's performance? — CPS stands for centipoise, a measurement of fluid viscosity. 600 CPS is a medium-weight oil that provides balanced suspension damping for most RC vehicles, offering good response on both smooth track surfaces and rough terrain without being too stiff or too soft for general driving.
  • Is this shock oil suitable for beginners new to RC car maintenance? — Yes, absolutely. This is an ideal entry-level maintenance product for beginners because the 600 CPS viscosity is considered a universal standard that works well across many vehicle types and driving conditions, so you don't need advanced suspension tuning knowledge to benefit from using quality shock oil.
  • How often should I replace the shock oil in my RC car? — The frequency depends on driving intensity, but most RC enthusiasts rebuild their shocks and replace the oil every 10-15 hours of driving, or whenever the oil becomes discoloured or contaminated, and this 150ml bottle provides enough oil for multiple maintenance cycles before you need to re-order.
  • Can I use this Corally shock oil in non-Corally RC vehicles? — Yes, this ultra-pure silicone oil is compatible with any RC car that uses silicone shock oil, regardless of manufacturer, making it a practical universal maintenance product for mixed RC collections or if you own vehicles from multiple brands.
  • What is the difference between 600 CPS and other viscosity grades? — Lower viscosity oils like 300-400 CPS provide faster suspension response and are lighter, while higher viscosity oils like 800-1000 CPS offer stiffer damping and better stability in rough conditions, so 600 CPS sits in the middle offering a balanced compromise suitable for most drivers.
  • Why is pure silicone oil better than other types? — Pure silicone oil maintains consistent performance across a wider temperature range, resists oxidation and degradation better than mineral or synthetic blends, and won't break down synthetic seals or damage plastic components common in modern RC shock absorbers, making it the professional choice for serious hobbyists.
