  • Supplied with Two R8EF 8-Channel Receivers — This package includes a pair of compact, high-performance R8EF 8-channel receivers, each supporting PWM, PPM, and S-BUS signal outputs. This dual-receiver configuration means you can set up two different models simultaneously, or keep a spare receiver as backup—representing outstanding value compared to purchasing receivers separately.
  • Wide Voltage Input Range (4.8V–18.0V) — The T8FB accepts power from four AA-size dry cells (4.8V), 2S LiPo batteries (7.4V), 3S LiPo packs (11.1V), or 4S LiPo batteries (14.8V), with automatic battery voltage detection and customisable low-voltage alarms that protect your power cells. This flexibility means you can power your transmitter with whatever battery type suits your needs and budget.
  • Proportional Sliders on Channels 6 and 8 — In addition to the standard four-axis control, the T8FB features dedicated proportional slider controls on channels 6 and 8, allowing smooth analogue control of functions such as camera pan, lighting, or auxiliary servos without requiring additional programming complexity.
  • One Two-Position and One Three-Position Switch — Physical toggle switches provide instant access to two discrete control functions, perfect for gear selection, landing gear deployment, or mode switching on your RC models, with a dedicated three-position switch offering three distinct states for more complex control scenarios.
  • Digital Trims and Servo Reverse on All Four Primary Controls — Every primary control axis (aileron, elevator, throttle, and rudder) features digital trim adjustment and independent servo reverse functionality, allowing you to fine-tune control response and correct for any mechanical or aerodynamic imbalances in your model.
  • Programmable Mixing Features — The T8FB supports V-tail mix, Elevon mix, dual rate, sub-trim, endpoint adjustment, fail-safe programming, and transmission alarm settings. These mixing functions allow sophisticated control of complex model configurations such as flying wings, V-tailed aircraft, and experimental designs.
  • PWM, PPM, and S-BUS Compatibility — The included R8EF receivers support three different signal output formats, allowing compatibility with virtually any servo or electronic component in the RC car UK, RC boat, or RC aircraft markets. You can switch between PWM (standard single-channel pulse signals), PPM (combined pulse position on a single wire), and S-BUS (advanced digital protocol) simply by pressing the receiver's binding button.
  • Wireless Trainer Link Capability — With an optional R8FM receiver module, the T8FB supports trainer mode functionality, allowing an experienced pilot to take control of a learner's model if needed—an invaluable safety feature when teaching newcomers to the RC hobby.
  • Integral Antennae and Ergonomic Design — The transmitter features built-in antennae (no separate antenna to lose or damage) combined with a comfortable, well-balanced grip and sturdy metal carry handle, making it practical for extended sessions at the flying field, car track, or water's edge. The silver finish gives it a professional appearance whilst remaining durable in field conditions.
  • Infinite Model Memory — Unlike transmitters limited to storing a handful of models, the T8FB's app-based programming system stores unlimited model configurations, each with complete customisation of all parameters. Whether you operate five models or fifty, all settings are safely preserved.

Technical Performance

The RadioLink T8FB delivers professional-level performance in a compact, lightweight package. Weighing just 363 grams (12.8 ounces), it's easy to carry around the field without fatigue, yet it's built with quality aluminium and plastic components designed to withstand the rigours of regular RC use. The transmitter measures 173 × 102 × 206 millimetres, fitting comfortably in hands of various sizes whilst maintaining a low profile for convenient transport in a backpack or kit bag. Operating current draw is minimal at less than 80 milliamps, meaning battery life is excellent even on AA cells.

The 2.4GHz ISM band frequency with GFSK modulation and 400kHz bandwidth across 67 pseudo-random hopping channels provides industry-leading interference immunity. The transmitter's ACPR (Adjacent Channel Power Ratio) exceeds 36dBm, ensuring it won't interfere with nearby systems. The R8EF receivers included in this package support three distinct signal modes: standard PWM output (all 8 channels as individual pulse signals with red LED indicator), or SBUS/PPM mode (channel 1 as SBUS, channel 2 as PPM, channels 3–8 as PWM with blue/purple LED indicator). Switching between modes is simple—just press the binding button twice within one second.

Battery compatibility is exceptional, with the T8FB automatically detecting and configuring itself for whatever power source you provide. Use four AA dry cells for convenient field charging, or select 2S, 3S, or 4S NiMH or LiPo batteries for extended runtime. The voltage alarm function continuously monitors battery health and will emit a continuous D-tone sound if voltage drops below the customised threshold, preventing over-discharge damage. Model memory is technically unlimited, dependent only on your smartphone or computer's storage capacity—a revolutionary advancement over traditional transmitters limited to a handful of model slots.

The receiver binding process is straightforward: position the transmitter and receiver within 50 centimetres of each other, power both devices on, press and hold the binding button on the receiver for more than one second, and wait for the LED to stop flashing and remain continuously lit. The robust FHSS protocol automatically handles frequency coordination without manual intervention, meaning you can operate multiple RadioLink systems in close proximity without conflicts.
