Overview
The VITAVON LaserNut CNC Alu7075 Front & Rear Hinge Pin Brace is a precision-engineered upgrade component designed specifically for the Losi LaserNut 1/10 scale RC buggy. This high-quality aluminium alloy upgrade part is manufactured by VITAVON, a trusted name in RC performance upgrades, and represents an excellent investment for anyone looking to enhance the durability and reliability of their LaserNut platform. Whether you're a dedicated RC enthusiast in the UK exploring high-performance RC buggies, a competitive racer seeking to eliminate weak points in your chassis setup, or a weekend basher wanting to improve your model's longevity, this hinge pin brace delivers the reinforcement your LaserNut needs.
Constructed from premium 7075 aluminium alloy—one of the strongest aluminium grades available—this front and rear hinge pin brace features strategically reinforced material at previously weak points identified in the standard plastic components. The CNC machining process ensures absolute precision and consistency in every part, meaning you get a component that fits perfectly and performs flawlessly. This is the kind of upgrade that separates a casual RC car UK hobbyist from someone serious about maintaining and optimising their vehicle's performance over the long term.
The hinge pin brace assembly serves a critical function in your LaserNut's suspension geometry, directly affecting how your buggy handles, corners and maintains stability during aggressive driving. By replacing the factory components with this solid CNC-machined aluminium alternative, you're adding structural integrity to one of the suspension's most important connection points. This upgrade is compatible with multiple vehicle types including buggies, crawlers, drift cars, scale models and short course trucks, making it exceptionally versatile for different driving styles and conditions.
Key Features
- 7075 Aluminium Alloy Construction — This part is manufactured from premium 7075 aluminium, which is recognised as one of the highest-strength aluminium alloys available in RC component manufacturing, offering superior durability compared to standard plastic alternatives and ensuring your LaserNut can handle the demands of competitive and recreational driving alike.
- CNC Precision Machining — Every component is produced using computer numerical control machining, guaranteeing exact tolerances, perfect symmetry and flawless fitment to your Losi LaserNut, eliminating the variability sometimes found in injection-moulded plastic parts.
- Reinforced Weak Points — VITAVON engineers have identified and reinforced the areas prone to stress and failure on standard hinge pin braces, adding strategic material thickness where the suspension experiences the greatest loads during aggressive cornering, jumps and high-speed driving.
- Front and Rear Coverage — This is a complete solution addressing both the front and rear hinge pin locations simultaneously, providing balanced suspension geometry improvement across your entire LaserNut rather than partial upgrades that might create inconsistent handling characteristics.
- Direct Losi LaserNut Compatibility — This part is engineered and tested specifically for the Losi LaserNut 1/10 scale buggy platform, ensuring perfect integration with the existing suspension components, no modifications required and immediate performance benefits.
- Available in Silver and Red — The part comes in attractive colour options allowing you to personalise your LaserNut's appearance while maintaining professional-grade performance, with silver being the default colour option and red available upon request through order confirmation.
- Lightweight Yet Strong — Aluminium 7075 offers exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, meaning you gain structural rigidity without adding unnecessary mass that would negatively affect acceleration, braking and overall responsiveness of your RC buggy.
Technical Performance
This upgrade component represents a significant step forward in suspension technology for your Losi LaserNut 1/10 scale electric RC buggy. The 7075 aluminium alloy used throughout delivers tensile strength in excess of 570 megapascals, making it ideal for the demanding environment of competitive RC racing and high-performance bashing. The CNC machining process removes any imperfections, creating a component with zero material defects and perfect dimensional consistency—this is critical because suspension geometry must be absolutely precise to deliver predictable handling characteristics. Standard plastic hinge pin braces can flex and deform under load, particularly during hard cornering or aggressive acceleration out of tight turns, causing your suspension geometry to shift and creating unpredictable handling. This VITAVON brace eliminates that problem entirely through rigid aluminium construction. The reinforced material placement has been engineered by examining real-world failure points, so the extra thickness appears exactly where your LaserNut experiences the greatest stresses during aggressive driving. The part weighs minimally yet provides dramatic improvements in suspension consistency, meaning you'll notice improved responsiveness, more predictable cornering behaviour, reduced body roll during acceleration, and better overall stability whether you're driving at high speed across open ground or navigating technical sections at slower speeds. For RC car UK enthusiasts who want their LaserNut to deliver competition-grade performance, this is a legitimate upgrade that addresses a genuine weak point in the factory suspension design.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is this hinge pin brace suitable for both racing and casual bashing? — Absolutely. Whilst competitive racers will appreciate the improved suspension geometry consistency, recreational bashers benefit equally from the enhanced durability. The reinforced weak points mean fewer breakages during aggressive driving, whether you're on a race track or simply having fun in the local field. This upgrade is worthwhile regardless of your driving style.
- Will this fit my standard Losi LaserNut without modifications? — Yes. This part is engineered specifically for the Losi LaserNut 1/10 scale platform and requires no modifications to your existing chassis or suspension components. Installation is straightforward, fitting directly in place of the factory part using your existing fasteners.
- What is the difference between 7075 aluminium and the standard plastic components? — Standard plastic hinge pin braces can flex and deform under suspension loads, causing your suspension geometry to shift and creating inconsistent handling. 7075 aluminium is dramatically stronger and more rigid, maintaining perfect geometry under all driving conditions. Additionally, aluminium resists the fatigue cracking that eventually affects plastic components after extended use.
- Is this upgrade suitable for a beginner RC enthusiast? — Whilst there is nothing technically complex about this part, it is most beneficial for people who drive hard and frequently—competitive racers and dedicated bashers who push their LaserNut to its limits. Casual, light-use hobbyists may not notice the improvement as dramatically, though the enhanced durability is valuable for anyone.
- What vehicle types is this compatible with? — This hinge pin brace is designed for the Losi LaserNut, which can be configured as a buggy, crawler, drift car, scale model or short course truck depending on your setup. It works identically well regardless of which configuration you're running, as the suspension geometry is consistent across all variants.
- Does this part require any maintenance? — No special maintenance is required. Aluminium components are inherently corrosion-resistant, particularly at this alloy grade. Simply keep the part clean and dry in storage, just as you would with the rest of your RC car.
- How does this compare to other aluminium upgrade parts for the LaserNut? — VITAVON components are recognised for their CNC precision and attention to reinforcing actual weak points rather than simply converting plastic parts to aluminium. This particular brace includes material thickness optimisation at stress concentration points identified through engineering analysis, delivering superior performance compared to basic aluminium alternatives.
