Key Features

  • Tough Composite Material Construction — This chassis is manufactured from durable composite material that delivers exceptional longevity during extreme RC action, ensuring your investment remains protected through countless bashing sessions and competitive runs across varying terrain types.
  • Long Wheelbase Configuration — The LWB design extends the distance between front and rear axles, significantly improving chassis stability and weight distribution for better handling characteristics and superior traction on challenging surfaces.
  • Precision Manufactured Mounting Holes — Every mounting hole is engineered with exact tolerances to ensure a secure and reliable fit with your ARRMA model, eliminating any chance of component misalignment that could compromise performance or longevity.
  • Strategically Reinforced High-Stress Areas — ARRMA engineers have strategically added extra material in critical high-stress zones throughout the chassis, dramatically increasing overall durability and resistance to impact damage during intense RC driving.
  • Integrated Lower Gearbox Housing — The chassis features an integrated lower gearbox housing design that protects your drivetrain components whilst maintaining optimal weight distribution for balanced performance characteristics.
  • Integrated Lower Suspension Mounts — Purpose-designed lower suspension mounting points are integrated directly into the chassis structure, providing a solid foundation for your suspension geometry and ensuring consistent handling dynamics.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA Composite Chassis - LWB represents serious engineering designed for drivers who refuse to compromise on quality. This component is manufactured from advanced composite materials that balance weight savings with exceptional structural rigidity, critical factors for any high-performance RC car UK driver. The long wheelbase configuration delivers measurably improved stability compared to standard wheelbase designs, particularly beneficial when driving at speed across rough terrain or navigating technical off-road courses. The precision manufacturing of all mounting holes ensures perfect alignment with your vehicle's suspension components, drivetrain, and bodywork, eliminating any potential sources of vibration or component movement that could degrade performance or accelerate component wear. ARRMA's strategic placement of additional material in high-stress zones—such as suspension mounting points, gearbox housings, and impact areas—means this chassis can absorb tremendous punishment whilst maintaining structural integrity that remains unchallenged by competitors. The integrated lower gearbox housing and suspension mounts provide a unified, rigid platform that maximises the effectiveness of your suspension setup and ensures optimal power delivery from motor to wheels. Whether you're running a brushless RC 4x4 or pushing a high-performance RC buggy to its limits, this composite chassis provides the foundation needed for consistent, reliable performance session after session.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which ARRMA models is the Composite Chassis - LWB compatible with? — This chassis is specifically engineered for the following ARRMA models: 1/10 BIG ROCK 223S DSC 4X4 RTR Brushless Monster Truck (available in Black, Blue, and Green), 1/8 INFRACTION 223S DSC 4X4 RTR Street Bash (available in Red/Black, Blue/Red, and Teal/Pink), 1/10 SENTON 223S BLX Brushless 4X4 Short Course Truck RTR with DSC (available in Red, Yellow, and Blue/Purple), 1/8 TYPHON 223S BLX 4x4 Buggy RTR with DSC (available in Yellow, Blue, Green, and Red), and 1/8 TYPHON MEGA 665 4X4 RTR Brushed Buggy (available in Blue, Yellow, and Red). Always verify your specific model and variant before ordering to ensure perfect compatibility.
  • Is this a replacement part or does it come as part of a complete vehicle? — The ARRMA Composite Chassis - LWB is sold as an individual replacement spare part component, not as part of a ready-to-run vehicle package. It is designed for customers who need to replace a damaged or worn chassis on an existing ARRMA model, or for advanced builders completing custom builds using ARRMA components.
  • How does the long wheelbase configuration improve performance? — The LWB design extends the distance between the front and rear axles, which significantly improves chassis stability and weight distribution. This longer wheelbase provides better traction when accelerating, improved handling balance during cornering, and superior performance on rough, uneven terrain. The extended geometry also helps prevent the vehicle from tipping during aggressive driving manoeuvres, making it particularly valuable for high-speed RC car UK driving on challenging surfaces.
  • What makes composite material better than alternative chassis materials? — Composite material offers an excellent balance of strength, lightweight construction, and cost-effectiveness. Unlike rigid materials such as aluminium, composite absorbs impact energy more effectively, protecting other components from shock damage. The material resists corrosion and weathering better than some alternatives, making it ideal for the unpredictable British climate. Composite chassis also provide superior vibration damping compared to harder materials, resulting in smoother handling and reduced stress on component mounting points.
  • Can I use this chassis on models other than those listed? — No, this chassis is specifically engineered for the ARRMA models listed in the compatibility section. Using it on incompatible models may result in poor fitment, alignment issues, and compromised handling. Always consult the original model specifications or contact ARRMA directly if you are uncertain about compatibility with your specific vehicle variant.
  • What tools do I need to install this chassis? — Installation requirements depend on your current vehicle condition and which components you are transferring from the old chassis. Generally, you will need standard RC tools including hex drivers, screwdrivers, and potentially a multitool or dremel if any components require minor modification. Detailed installation instructions specific to your ARRMA model are essential; these should be obtained from the official ARRMA documentation or contact RC Model Shop for guidance.
  • How does this compare to the standard wheelbase chassis? — The long wheelbase (LWB) configuration provides improved stability and weight distribution compared to standard wheelbase (SWB) designs. LWB chassis are particularly effective for high-speed driving and rough terrain performance, whilst SWB chassis favour tighter cornering and more aggressive handling characteristics. Your choice depends on your preferred driving style and the terrain you primarily use your RC car on.
