Overview

The Traxxas Suspension arms, rear (upper (2), lower left (1), lower right (1)) TRX10730 are essential replacement and upgrade components for the Traxxas Mini Maxx monster truck. These premium suspension arms are manufactured to exacting Traxxas standards and play a critical role in the overall handling, stability and performance of your RC car UK setup. Whether you're a serious racer, a weekend basher enjoying off-road fun, or an enthusiast looking to maintain and upgrade your brushless RC monster truck, quality suspension components are absolutely fundamental to achieving the best possible performance on track or in the backyard.

Suspension arms are the backbone of any RC vehicle's chassis geometry and handling characteristics. They connect the wheel hub carriers to the main chassis and determine critical factors such as camber angle, toe-in, and the overall suspension geometry that affects how your ready to run RC truck responds to terrain, absorbs impacts, and corners. The rear suspension arms specifically manage how the back wheels track and support the chassis, making them vital to stability, traction and the vehicle's ability to maintain consistent handling throughout a run. Over time, suspension arms can wear, bend or break from the rigours of aggressive driving, jumps and rough terrain, making replacement arms an essential spare part for any serious RC enthusiast.

Upgrading to quality aftermarket suspension arms like these can offer significant advantages over stock components, particularly if you're looking to improve durability, reduce weight, or fine-tune your suspension setup for specific driving conditions and styles.

Key Features

  • Genuine Traxxas Design — These suspension arms are engineered specifically for the Traxxas Mini Maxx monster truck platform, ensuring perfect fitment and compatibility with your vehicle's suspension geometry, steering response and overall handling characteristics.
  • Complete Rear Suspension Kit — The package includes upper suspension arms (2 pieces) and lower suspension arms (left 1 piece, right 1 piece), giving you a complete rear suspension setup for comprehensive replacement or upgrade capability.
  • Precision Suspension Geometry — Proper suspension arm design is critical for maintaining correct camber and toe-in angles. These arms support the wheel hub stub axle carriers and help stabilise them, directly affecting how your RC car UK responds to corners, bumps and jumps.
  • Enhanced Durability for Extreme Action — These components are built to withstand the demands of aggressive RC driving, jumps, impacts and rough terrain that put stress on suspension systems during competitive racing or hardcore bashing sessions.
  • Chassis Support and Stabilisation — The rear suspension arms support the chassis weight distribution and stabilise the rear hub stub axle carriers, creating a stable platform for consistent handling and predictable vehicle response across varied driving conditions.
  • Quality Construction Materials — Built with materials selected for strength, durability and performance, these arms are engineered to maintain their shape and integrity through thousands of impacts and aggressive driving manoeuvres.

Technical Performance

The Traxxas Suspension arms rear (upper (2), lower left (1), lower right (1)) represent quality engineering designed to work seamlessly within the Mini Maxx's suspension system. The rear suspension arrangement uses a combination of upper and lower arms that work together to create the vehicle's suspension geometry, which directly influences how the chassis responds to terrain features, maintains traction and handles cornering loads. The suspension arms connect to the rear wheel carriers and transmit forces between the wheels and the main chassis frame. This suspension configuration is fundamental to the Mini Maxx's capability as a ready to run RC monster truck platform. The engineering behind suspension arms focuses on maintaining precise geometric relationships between the wheel hubs and chassis, which determines camber angle (the lean of the wheel relative to vertical), toe-in (the angle of the wheels relative to the vehicle's centreline), and roll centre geometry. All of these factors significantly impact handling balance, traction, steering response and how the vehicle absorbs impacts from jumps and rough terrain. Proper suspension tuning, including having quality arms in good condition, puts more power to the ground and keeps your vehicle performing at its best whether you're racing at the track or enjoying weekend bashing. The suspension must balance supporting the vehicle's weight, absorbing jolts from bumps and landings, managing chassis roll during cornering, and maintaining consistent wheel alignment throughout the suspension's range of travel. Upper suspension arms typically have a different design and load-carrying function compared to lower arms, and both are essential for creating the precise three-dimensional geometry that modern RC vehicles depend upon for optimal performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the difference between upper and lower suspension arms? — Upper and lower suspension arms work together to create the rear suspension geometry of your RC monster truck. Upper arms typically mount higher on the chassis and wheel hub, whilst lower arms mount lower, creating an angled arrangement that defines camber angle and allows the suspension to compress and extend. This arrangement lets the wheels move up and down to absorb bumps whilst maintaining consistent geometry throughout the suspension's travel range. Both upper and lower arms are essential for proper handling and must work together as a system.
  • How do I know if my suspension arms need replacing? — Suspension arms should be inspected regularly, particularly if you drive aggressively, jump frequently, or encounter rough terrain. Signs of wear include visible bending or warping, cracks, worn mounting holes, loose connection points, or noticeable changes in handling balance or steering response. If you've had a significant crash or impact, inspect arms carefully before your next run. Bent or damaged arms will cause poor handling, uneven tyre wear, and inconsistent performance.
  • Will these arms fit my Mini Maxx? — Yes, these Traxxas genuine suspension arms are engineered specifically for the Traxxas Mini Maxx monster truck platform. They are designed to work with the Mini Maxx's chassis geometry, wheel hub carriers, and mounting points. When replacing suspension components, always ensure compatibility with your specific model to maintain proper suspension geometry and handling characteristics.
  • How do suspension arms affect RC car handling? — Suspension arms directly determine your vehicle's wheel alignment angles (camber and toe-in) and how the suspension geometry changes as the wheels move up and down over terrain. Bent or worn arms will cause poor camber angles, reducing traction and causing uneven tyre wear. Proper, straight suspension arms maintain the suspension geometry that keeps power going to the ground, improves cornering performance, and creates the stable, predictable handling that's essential for racing or serious bashing. The relationship between suspension arms, springs and dampers is crucial — all three must work together for optimal performance.
  • Can I upgrade to aftermarket suspension arms for better performance? — The suspension arms included in this kit are Traxxas genuine components. If you're considering upgrading, ensure any aftermarket parts are designed specifically for the Mini Maxx and maintain compatibility with your vehicle's suspension geometry. Always verify compatibility before purchasing upgrades, as suspension geometry changes can dramatically affect handling and may require compensating adjustments to other suspension components like springs or damping settings.
  • Why is suspension tuning important for RC cars? — Proper suspension tuning is fundamental to RC performance. Suspension arms are one part of a complete system that includes springs, dampers (shocks), anti-roll bars, and geometry settings like camber and toe-in. When all these components work together correctly, the suspension supports the vehicle's weight without being too stiff (which reduces traction and creates a bumpy ride) or too soft (which increases chassis roll and allows the suspension to bottom out). Well-tuned suspension quickly compresses to absorb jolts, extends to return to normal position, and resists oscillation until the next bump arrives. This is why Traxxas carefully engineers each component for each model — to provide versatile performance across varied terrain and driving styles.
