Overview

The Blade BLH-1692 8x16x4mm Ball Bearing (2) is an essential replacement spare for RC enthusiasts maintaining their helicopters, multirotors and other precision RC models. Whether you're a dedicated RC pilot in the UK or simply looking to keep your equipment in peak condition, these genuine Blade ball bearings provide the smooth, consistent rotation needed for reliable performance. Routine maintenance is a critical part of responsible RC ownership, and having quality replacement bearings on hand ensures your drivetrains and rotating assemblies continue to operate efficiently without the build-up of friction that can compromise responsiveness and longevity.

These ball bearings are specifically engineered to fit RC models that call for 8x16x4mm dimensions, making them a practical addition to any field kit or workshop. Whether you're preparing for a weekend flying session or conducting routine maintenance after a busy day of aerial manoeuvres, this genuine Blade spare helps you maintain performance and reliability across your RC collection. The convenience of having a matched pair means you can replace worn components systematically, restoring your model's handling characteristics and extending the working life of critical mechanical systems.

RC Model Shop stocks this genuine Blade component as part of our comprehensive range of spares and upgrades for popular RC helicopter and multirotor platforms. If you fly Blade RC helicopters or similar models in the UK, keeping replacement bearings in stock is simply good practice for any serious enthusiast.

Key Features

  • Genuine Blade Spare Part — This is an authentic manufacturer component, ensuring compatibility and performance standards you can rely on for your Blade RC models and other compatible equipment.
  • Precision 8x16x4mm Dimensions — The specific sizing (8mm inner diameter, 16mm outer diameter, 4mm width) is engineered to match the bearing specifications required by compatible RC helicopters and multirotors, guaranteeing proper fit and function.
  • Matched Pair Convenience — You receive two ball bearings in this pack, allowing you to replace worn components across multiple bearing positions or keep a backup spare for future maintenance requirements.
  • Reduces Friction and Wear — Quality ball bearings minimise friction in rotating assemblies, helping your RC model maintain smooth operation, responsive handling and consistent performance throughout extended flying sessions.
  • Ideal for Routine Maintenance — These bearings are perfect for swapping out worn or damaged components during regular servicing, helping prevent premature wear to other drivetrain parts and maintaining the reliability of your RC investment.
  • Essential Workshop Spare — Whether you operate RC helicopters, quadcopters or other multirotor platforms, having genuine replacement bearings available ensures you can conduct field repairs and maintenance without unnecessary downtime.

Technical Performance

The Blade BLH-1692 ball bearings are precision-engineered components manufactured to exacting tolerances, ensuring they deliver the smooth rotation and minimal friction required for professional-grade RC helicopter and multirotor operation. At 8mm inner diameter by 16mm outer diameter with a 4mm width specification, these bearings are sized to integrate seamlessly into the mechanical assemblies of compatible RC models, providing consistent performance whether you're flying high-speed manoeuvres or performing precision hovering. The ball bearing design utilises hardened steel races and precision-ground balls to maintain smooth rotation even under the dynamic loads and vibrations experienced during typical RC flight operations. Quality ball bearings are critical to the longevity of RC drivetrains and rotating components; as bearings wear over time, friction increases, responsiveness decreases and premature wear spreads to adjacent mechanical systems. By replacing worn bearings with genuine Blade replacements like the BLH-1692, you restore the original smooth operation of your RC model and prevent cascading mechanical failures that can result in costly repairs or replacement of entire assemblies.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What RC models are compatible with the Blade BLH-1692 8x16x4mm ball bearings? — These bearings are designed as a compatible replacement for RC helicopters and multirotors that specify 8x16x4mm ball bearings in their mechanical assemblies. Check your model's documentation or parts diagram to confirm whether your RC platform requires this specific bearing size before purchasing.
  • How often should I replace ball bearings on my RC helicopter or multirotor? — Ball bearing lifespan depends on flight frequency, operating conditions and maintenance practices. Bearings should be inspected regularly during routine maintenance; if they feel rough, gritty or develop play, they should be replaced immediately to prevent damage to surrounding components. Many serious RC operators replace bearings proactively during scheduled servicing to maintain peak performance.
  • Why should I use genuine Blade replacements rather than generic bearings? — Genuine Blade parts like the BLH-1692 are manufactured to the exact specifications and tolerances required by Blade RC models, ensuring proper fit, reliable performance and compatibility with all surrounding mechanical systems. Generic bearings may have dimensional variations that result in poor fit, increased play or premature wear.
  • Can these bearings be used as routine maintenance spares? — Yes, absolutely. Having quality replacement bearings on hand is an essential part of responsible RC ownership. The Blade BLH-1692 is ideal for keeping in your workshop or field kit to enable prompt bearing replacement during routine maintenance or field repairs without waiting for delivery or facing unnecessary downtime.
  • What is the difference between these ball bearings and other bearing types? — Ball bearings like the BLH-1692 utilise hardened steel balls held in races to enable smooth rotation with minimal friction. This design is ideal for most RC helicopter and multirotor applications where low friction, smooth operation and reliability are critical to flight performance and equipment longevity.
