If you are planning on leaving your batteries for a period of time it is best practice to store them with a level of charge in, this is easily done by selecting the 'Storage' function within the menu. The iMars S100 will then charger or discharge (depending on the condition of the battery) to a voltage that ensures your batteries will be in peak condition next time you go to use them. The charger is also able to discharge batteries of various chemistry types, the discharge rate can be adjusted to a maximum of 0.4A. The S100 has one final setting available called DigitalPower that when selected allows the charger to be the equivalent of an adjustable power supply meaning you can use the charger to power items such as soldering iron or tyre warmers!
When the Gens Ace G-Tech battery is connected to the iMars S100 charger, the charger will automatically identify the battery type through the G-Tech Smart balance connector. The number of cells will be detected and the default charging current recommended by the battery manufacturer will be set. With all this data fed back to the charger it commences charging with these recommended settings ensuring the safe and efficient charging of the G-Tech battery. The iMars S100 is also fully capable of charging non G-Tech cells too thanks to the unique design of the G-Tech balance lead! You can connect a standard balance lead to the S100's balance port, however it is necessary to manually select the battery type and the required working mode to get it started. The charger can intelligently detect the cell count of the battery pack, and combined with the correctly selected battery technology will intelligently set the appropriate charge rate for the battery pack connected.
All the information is displayed via the 1.5inch TFT screen that is clear and concise for ease of reading whatever the light conditions. The user interface is intuitive and simple to navigate which can be done with the new mechanical buttons that offer positive feedback when used compared to the predecessor. The compact physical design also ensures that the charger can be easily packed away for transport and equally wont take up lots of room on your bench.
From time to time the charger may require a firmware update which can be done via the USB port located in between the balance port and XT60 charging port. As this port is powered it can be used to provide power to items such as LED desk lights and charge your phone at the same time as carrying out other functions of the charger.

- For orders above £120, we offer delivery to most mainland UK addresses. For orders under £120, we can still deliver to Northern Ireland and the outlying isles, as long as the item can be sent by Royal Mail, weighs less than 30kg, and fits within 61cm × 46cm × 46cm. Some highland and remote areas may carry an extra delivery charge as couriers often apply surcharges in these locations. If you live in one of these areas, feel free to contact us before ordering so we can confirm the delivery options and costs for you.
- Most of our products include delivery in the price. If your order is under £90, a small delivery fee will apply but do not worry this will always be clearly shown at checkout before you complete your purchase.
- Depending on what you choose at checkout, your order will usually be delivered either the next working day or within 2 working days. For next day delivery please place your order before 2:00pm. Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday only. Some items may take a little longer and if that is the case we will always show the expected delivery time on the product page.
- If your order includes items with different dispatch times we will normally wait and send everything together once all items are in stock.
