Overview
The ARRMA Shock Springs, 85mm 0.54N/mm (3.08lb/in) (2) are genuine OEM replacement suspension components designed for high-performance RC off-road vehicles. These springs are precision-engineered to deliver consistent damping characteristics and maintain your RC car's suspension geometry during aggressive driving. Whether you're a competitive racer, weekend basher, or someone who enjoys pushing your RC monster truck or desert truck to its limits, quality shock springs are essential for maintaining responsive handling and protecting your vehicle's suspension from damage caused by impacts and terrain variations.
As an authorised ARRMA dealer, RC Model Shop stocks genuine factory parts that are engineered to exact specifications to ensure perfect compatibility with your vehicle. These shock springs are not just replacement parts—they are critical components that directly affect your RC car's performance, stability, and longevity. The 85mm length and 0.54N/mm spring rate make these springs ideal for specific ARRMA models and driving conditions, providing the damping force needed for optimal suspension travel and ground clearance.
If you're experiencing worn suspension, reduced handling precision, or simply want to maintain your RC car in peak condition, replacing your shock springs with genuine ARRMA components is the smart choice. Available now at RC Model Shop, these springs come as a pair, allowing you to refresh both ends of your suspension system in one convenient purchase.
Key Features
- 85mm Length — This specific length is engineered to fit ARRMA suspension systems precisely, ensuring proper suspension geometry and preventing fitment issues that could compromise handling or cause damage to other suspension components.
- 0.54N/mm Spring Rate (3.08lb/in) — The spring rate determines how much resistance the spring provides to compression, directly affecting how your RC car responds to bumps, jumps, and turning forces, making this specification critical for matching your vehicle's suspension to your driving style and terrain.
- Pair of Two Springs — You receive two springs in this pack, allowing you to replace both shock absorbers simultaneously and maintain balanced suspension characteristics across your entire RC vehicle.
- Genuine ARRMA OEM Components — These are factory-original parts manufactured to ARRMA's exact specifications, guaranteeing quality, durability, and perfect compatibility with your RC car without the risk of fitment problems or performance issues.
- Replacement Suspension Parts — Designed specifically as spare parts for maintaining your RC car's suspension system, these springs enable you to keep your vehicle performing at its best throughout its lifespan.
Technical Performance
The ARRMA Shock Springs represent precision suspension engineering developed for high-performance RC vehicles. With a spring rate of 0.54N/mm (3.08lb/in), these springs are calibrated to provide the ideal balance between responsiveness and comfort, absorbing impacts from rough terrain whilst maintaining traction and control. The 85mm length is specifically designed for ARRMA suspension systems, ensuring proper shock absorber geometry and travel distance. Quality shock springs are fundamental to RC car performance—they work in conjunction with your shock absorber's damping fluid to manage suspension movement, control body roll during cornering, and maintain consistent ground contact across uneven surfaces. Manufactured to factory specifications, these springs maintain their spring rate under repeated compression cycles, resisting the fatigue and permanent deformation that can occur in inferior aftermarket components. Whether you're running your RC car on loose desert sand, rocky trails, or smooth tarmac surfaces, maintaining fresh, properly-rated shock springs ensures predictable handling characteristics and extends the lifespan of related suspension components like shock shafts and rod ends.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What ARRMA models are these shock springs compatible with? — These shock springs are confirmed compatible with the ARRMA 1/8 MOJAVE 4X4 4S BLX Desert Truck RTR, available in both Blue (C-ARA4404T2) and White (C-ARA4404T1) variants. If you own a different ARRMA model, we recommend checking compatibility with your vehicle's manual or contacting our team to ensure these springs are suitable for your specific RC car.
- Why should I replace my shock springs? — Shock springs degrade over time through repeated compression cycles, losing their original spring rate and becoming less effective at managing suspension movement. Worn springs can result in reduced handling precision, excessive body roll, poor ground contact, and increased wear on other suspension components. Replacing them with fresh genuine parts restores your RC car's performance and handling characteristics.
- How often should shock springs be replaced? — This depends on how frequently you use your RC car and the intensity of your driving. High-frequency bashers and racers may need replacement every few months, whilst casual users might go longer between replacements. If you notice changes in handling or suspension feel, it's time to inspect and potentially replace your shock springs.
- Are these springs suitable for beginners? — Yes, these are OEM replacement parts designed for the ARRMA MOJAVE 4S, which is itself a popular choice for intermediate to advanced drivers. As long as your RC car is compatible with these springs, they will help maintain optimal performance regardless of your skill level.
- How do I know if these are the correct springs for my RC car? — Check your vehicle's manual or specifications for the shock spring rate and length required. The ARRMA part number ARA330800 corresponds to these 85mm 0.54N/mm springs. RC Model Shop can confirm compatibility if you provide your specific ARRMA model.
