Overview
The SPM Brushless Inrunner Motor 3060-1900kV 4-Pole represents an excellent upgrade option for serious 1/8 scale RC racers and bashers looking to enhance their vehicle's performance. Whether you're piloting a buggy, truggy, or monster truck, this brushless motor delivers the reliability, efficiency and power needed for competitive racing or high-speed weekend bashing. Built by Spektrum, a recognised leader in RC electronics and performance components, this inrunner motor is specifically engineered to work seamlessly with 3S to 6S LiPo battery packs, making it compatible with a wide range of modern RC car setups across the UK and beyond.
This isn't a brushed motor from the past — brushless technology offers significantly better performance, longer lifespan and superior efficiency compared to traditional brushed alternatives. The 3060 motor size and 1900kV rating place it in the sweet spot for 1/8 scale vehicles where you need a balance of torque and speed without sacrificing reliability. The inrunner design keeps the rotor and magnets inside the stator, creating a compact, lightweight package that's perfect for upgrading existing vehicles or building new competition-grade setups.
With high-quality construction throughout, precision engineering from CNC machining, and compatibility with the Firma 130 Smart ESC, the SPM Brushless Inrunner Motor 3060-1900kV 4-Pole is a trusted choice for UK RC enthusiasts who demand performance and durability from their brushless RC car motors.
Key Features
- 4-Pole Sintered Rotor Design — The high-quality 4-pole rotor with sintered magnets provides excellent efficiency and consistent power delivery, which is essential for maintaining competitive lap times and reliable performance whether you're racing at a club or bashing in the garden.
- Safe-D Shaft with C-Clip Locking Point — This innovative shaft design prevents pinion gear slip during hard acceleration and impacts, protecting your motor and ensuring that power transfers reliably to the wheels without the frustrating loss of traction caused by gear slippage.
- CNC Machined Aluminium Housing — The precision-engineered aluminium housing is both lightweight and durable, dissipating heat effectively during extended run times whilst maintaining the structural integrity needed for competitive RC racing and high-speed bashing.
- Insulated High Purity Copper Windings — Premium copper windings with insulation provide superior electrical conductivity and efficiency, translating to more responsive throttle control, better speed consistency and increased overall power output from your battery pack.
- High-Quality Alloy Steel Output Shaft — The hardened steel 5mm diameter shaft is engineered to withstand the punishment of competitive racing and aggressive driving, resisting bending and wear to keep your motor running reliably season after season.
- Precision Bearings for Smooth Rotation — Quality ball bearings ensure minimal friction and smooth, quiet operation, reducing mechanical losses and allowing the motor to reach its full performance potential with consistent speed and acceleration.
- Pre-Installed 4mm Gold Plated Bullet Connectors — The connectors arrive factory-fitted, saving you assembly time and ensuring reliable electrical connections that won't oxidise or corrode, maintaining peak power transfer from your ESC to the motor.
- 86% Peak Efficiency — This high efficiency rating means more of your battery's energy is converted into motion rather than wasted as heat, giving you longer run times and better performance per charge compared to less efficient alternatives.
- Perfectly Matched for Firma 130 Smart ESC — The motor is designed to work seamlessly with the Firma 130 controller, creating a matched system that delivers optimal performance tuning and reliability for 1/8 scale RC vehicles.
Technical Performance
The SPM Brushless Inrunner Motor 3060-1900kV 4-Pole delivers impressive technical specifications that position it as a serious performer for 1/8 scale RC racing and bashing. The 1900kV rating means the motor will spin approximately 1900 RPM per volt applied, which when paired with a 3S LiPo battery (11.1V) generates significant speed whilst maintaining adequate torque for acceleration and hill climbing. With support for up to 6S LiPo batteries (22.2V), this motor can produce explosive power for aggressive driving and competition use. The motor's 4940W output power specification indicates substantial performance capability, whilst the 60A maximum continuous current rating ensures compatibility with appropriately sized electronic speed controllers. The inrunner configuration keeps the rotating mass compact and efficient, with the motor measuring just 42mm in outer diameter and 74mm in total length, making it an easy fit into most 1/8 scale chassis designs. At 416 grams, the weight is substantial enough to indicate quality construction without being excessive. The precision 5mm hardened steel output shaft with its innovative Safe-D design featuring a C-clip locking point provides the mechanical robustness required for competitive use, whilst the high-quality ball bearings ensure minimal friction and maximum efficiency throughout the motor's lifespan. The combination of CNC-machined aluminium housing, insulated high-purity copper windings, and sintered rotor technology creates a motor that performs consistently across temperature ranges and driving conditions, whether you're racing at your local RC track or enjoying high-speed bashing sessions with fellow UK RC enthusiasts.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the SPM Brushless Inrunner Motor 3060-1900kV suitable for 1/8 scale buggy, truggy and monster truck applications? — Yes, this motor is specifically designed as a perfect upgrade option for 1/8 scale buggies, truggies and monster trucks, making it an ideal choice for UK RC racers and weekend bashers looking to enhance their vehicle's performance with reliable brushless power.
- What battery voltage does this brushless motor require? — The motor is compatible with 3S to 6S LiPo battery packs, which translates to voltage ranges between 11.1V (3S) and 22.2V (6S), giving you flexibility in choosing a battery pack that matches your driving style and performance requirements.
- Is the Safe-D Shaft design really important? — Yes, absolutely. The Safe-D Shaft with C-clip locking point prevents pinion gear slip during hard acceleration and impacts, which means you'll maintain consistent power delivery to your wheels and avoid the frustration of losing traction due to gear slippage during races or aggressive bashing sessions.
- What ESC should I pair with this motor? — The motor is perfectly matched with the Firma 130 Smart ESC, which is specifically designed to work harmoniously with this motor's specifications, ensuring optimal performance, reliability and the ability to access advanced tuning features.
- Is this motor suitable for beginners? — Whilst this is an excellent motor for upgrading existing 1/8 scale RC vehicles, it's primarily designed for racers and experienced bashers rather than complete beginners. You'll need proper ESC, battery and charging knowledge to use it safely and effectively.
- What is the motor's efficiency rating? — The motor features an 86% peak efficiency rating, which is excellent and means more of your battery's energy is converted into motion rather than wasted as heat, resulting in longer run times and better overall performance compared to less efficient alternatives.
- What makes this an inrunner motor rather than an outrunner? — The inrunner design has the rotor and magnets rotating inside the stator, which creates a more compact and lightweight package compared to outrunner motors where the entire bell rotates around stationary coils. This makes inrunners ideal for high-speed applications and vehicles where space is limited.
