Overview
This is a pair of Mirage TT Belted Tires. Pro-Line is proud to announce a tire and wheel combo for your large-scale Desert Truck! The Mirage TT is inspired by full-size trophy truck tires to create a super-scale look while also giving your rig the ultimate performance upgrade with Belted tire technology!
The Mirage TT tire is BELTED to handle extreme power and high speeds with ease. No tire ballooning here! These tires and new Raid 2.4/3.25" wheels have been developed from the ground up to be lightweight and durable enough to handle extreme punishment, giving you the best all-around bashing experience possible. Our legendary M2 compound provides all the grip you need no matter what track, road, or bash surface you're driving on.
The Raid 2.4/3.25" Wheel features a removable hex for ultimate versatility. Not only do the included 17mm hexes give you the option between the MOJAVE™ 6S and Unlimited Desert Racer® axles and offsets, but they also allow you to easily replace a damaged wheel hex without needing to replace your glued tires. The hefty 6x30 interlocking hex design is secured to the wheel by 6 M3 screws that are spaced 30mm across. Replacement Hexes are available separately (PRO639000), while our full line of 6x30 hexes will also fit whatever custom build or fitment you can dream up.
This tire and wheel package is proudly manufactured and assembled at Pro-Line Headquarters in the USA! If you are ready to take your MOJAVE™ 6S and UDR® to the next level of Performance and Durability, then you need Pro-Line's new Mirage TT Tires!
Please note that the Mirage TT tires have a maximum speed rating that, if exceeded, could result in permanently damaging the internal belt. For the Mirage TT tires that is 70 mph or about 4,500 RPM. Over-revving your Mirage TT tires could result in breaking the internal belt, which will NOT be covered under warranty. This can be caused by "diffing out" your tires or holding the throttle open while one, two, or three of your tires are stopped, which substantially increases the RPM sent to the free-spinning tire or tires.
Please note: All tires & wheels are sold in pairs, unless otherwise noted

Overview
Pro-Line is proud to present the 1/7 Mirage TT Belted Tyres mounted on Raid Black 17mm hex wheels — a premium tyre and wheel combo designed specifically for large-scale desert trucks like the ARRMA Mojave 6S and Traxxas Unlimited Desert Racer. Inspired by full-size trophy truck tyres, the Mirage TT combines stunning scale realism with cutting-edge performance technology to elevate your RC bashing experience. Whether you're running a high-powered 1/7 scale desert racer or a weekend basher, these pre-mounted tyres deliver the ultimate upgrade path for UK RC enthusiasts looking to push their machines to the limit.
The Mirage TT represents a significant leap forward in tyre technology for large-scale RC vehicles. Traditional non-belted tyres suffer from ballooning under extreme power and high speeds, which compromises handling and durability. Pro-Line solved this problem by engineering the Mirage TT with advanced belted tyre technology — a feature traditionally found only on full-size vehicles. This belted construction keeps the tyre sidewalls stable and controlled, allowing you to harness maximum power without losing traction or experiencing destructive tyre deformation. Combined with Pro-Line's legendary M2 compound, these tyres deliver consistent grip across a variety of surfaces, from gravel and grass to hardpack and sand.
What makes the Mirage TT particularly attractive to UK RC enthusiasts is the innovative Raid 2.4/3.25-inch wheel design with removable 6x30 hex system. Unlike traditional glued tyre setups where a damaged wheel means replacing the entire pre-mounted assembly, the Mirage TT's removable hex design lets you swap out just the wheel hex if it gets damaged — keeping your expensive glued tyres intact. This not only saves money over the long term but also provides genuine versatility for fitting different vehicle platforms and custom builds.
Key Features
- Belted Tyre Construction — The Mirage TT tyres feature internal belt reinforcement that eliminates ballooning under extreme acceleration and high-speed running, a common problem with traditional unbelted tyres on large-scale trucks. This means you get predictable handling and longer tyre life even when pushing your Mojave 6S or UDR to their limits.
- Trophy Truck Inspired Design — The tread pattern and sidewall profile are authentically modelled after real full-size desert racing truck tyres, delivering exceptional scale realism that transforms the appearance of your large-scale RC model while maintaining practical performance benefits.
- Legendary M2 Compound — Pro-Line's proven M2 rubber compound is engineered to provide excellent grip on virtually any surface you'll encounter during UK RC bashing — whether that's wet gravel, dry hardpack, grass, or loose sand. This soft compound maintains traction across temperature ranges and surface conditions.
- Removable 6x30 Hex System — The innovative removable hex design allows you to replace a damaged wheel hex separately without disturbing your glued tyres, protecting your investment and providing genuine versatility. The hefty 6x30 interlocking hex is secured by six M3 screws spaced 30mm apart, ensuring robust retention under extreme driving conditions.
- Multi-Platform Compatibility — Supplied with dedicated 17mm hex adapters for both the ARRMA Mojave 6S and Traxxas UDR platforms, these tyres give you the flexibility to switch between axles and offsets. The 6x30 hex also accepts Pro-Line's full range of aftermarket hexes (available separately) for custom builds and fitments.
- Raid 2.4/3.25-Inch Wheels — Developed from the ground up to complement the belted tyre technology, the Raid wheels are lightweight yet durable enough to handle extreme punishment. The 2.4-inch inner diameter with 3.25-inch outer profile provides the optimal balance of ground clearance, scale looks, and performance.
- Front and Rear Application — The Mirage TT tyres and Raid wheels are designed as a universal solution, suitable for use on both front and rear axles, simplifying your parts inventory and ensuring consistent handling characteristics across all four corners of your truck.
- USA Manufacturing — Pro-Line manufactures and assembles this tyre and wheel package at their headquarters in the United States, maintaining strict quality control standards and supporting long-term product development and support for UK customers buying through authorised retailers.
Technical Performance
The Mirage TT Belted Tyre and Raid Wheel combination represents a significant engineering achievement in large-scale RC tyre technology. The belted construction is the key innovation here — traditional 1/7 scale truck tyres rely on the natural rigidity of the rubber compound to resist ballooning, but once you push beyond moderate speeds or apply extreme throttle, the centrifugal forces cause the tyre sidewalls to expand and deform, reducing contact patch consistency and creating unpredictable handling. Pro-Line's internal belt system counteracts this through reinforcement fibres that wrap around the tyre structure, maintaining dimensional stability even at the maximum speed rating of 70 mph (approximately 4,500 RPM). The M2 compound provides the soft, grippy characteristics essential for aggressive bashing and high-traction driving, whilst the belted reinforcement prevents the compound from deforming excessively. The 2.4-inch tyre diameter with 3.25-inch outer wheel diameter delivers optimal ground clearance for a 1/7 scale desert truck platform whilst maintaining realistic proportions relative to the ARRMA Mojave 6S and Traxxas UDR chassis. The open-cell foam inserts included in the package help absorb impacts from rough terrain and provide additional suspension compliance. Weighing and dimensioning in at 5.28 inches (134mm) in product height and 2 inches (51mm) in width, these are genuinely large, imposing tyres that deliver the visual impact of a real desert racing truck. The removable 6x30 hex system with M3 hardware is engineered for reliability, though owners should be aware that over-revving (exceeding 4,500 RPM through methods like diffing out tyres or spinning against obstacles) can damage the internal belt structure and void the warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Will the Mirage TT tyres fit my ARRMA Mojave 6S or Traxxas UDR? — Yes, these tyres are specifically designed for and compatible with both platforms. The package includes dedicated 17mm hex adapters for each vehicle, allowing you to switch between Mojave 6S and UDR mounting positions. The 17mm hex size is the standard for these large-scale trucks, ensuring perfect fitment.
- What is the maximum speed rating for these tyres, and why does it matter? — The Mirage TT tyres have a maximum speed rating of 70 mph (approximately 4,500 RPM). Exceeding this speed can permanently damage the internal belt structure, which is not covered under warranty. This limitation is important to understand before purchasing, particularly if you plan to run high-power motors or LiPo batteries that could enable extreme speeds. Common causes of over-revving include diffing out (spinning one wheel against the ground while others are free-spinning) or holding wide-open throttle whilst wheels are mechanically stopped or blocked.
- Can I replace just the wheel hex if it gets damaged, or do I need to buy new tyres? — One of the major advantages of the Mirage TT system is the removable hex design. If you damage a wheel hex, you can order replacement 6x30 hexes separately (Pro-Line part number PRO639000) and install them using the included M3 hardware. Your glued tyres remain intact, saving you significant money over traditional pre-mounted setups where damage to the wheel means replacing the entire assembly.
- What surfaces do these tyres work best on for UK RC bashing? — The M2 compound is engineered to provide grip across a wide variety of surfaces, including gravel, grass, hardpack, and sand. However, user feedback indicates that grip on wet grass and muddy surfaces may vary — the tyres are optimised for dry conditions and harder terrains typical of trophy truck racing environments. Before committing, consider whether your primary bashing locations feature predominantly dry, firm surfaces.
- What is the difference between belted and non-belted tyres on large-scale RC trucks? — Belted tyres feature internal reinforcement that prevents the tyre sidewalls from expanding under centrifugal force and extreme acceleration. Non-belted tyres rely solely on the rubber compound's natural rigidity, which gradually deforms as speed increases, causing the tyre to balloon outward and losing contact patch consistency. Belted tyres maintain predictable handling and durability at high speeds and with powerful motors, making them essential if you run 6S LiPo batteries or equivalent power systems on your truck.
- Are these tyres suitable for beginners? — The Mirage TT system is best suited to experienced RC enthusiasts who understand large-scale truck performance characteristics and can respect the 70 mph speed limit. Beginners would benefit from starting with stock ARRMA or Traxxas tyres before upgrading to high-performance belted systems. The removable hex design is excellent for long-term ownership, but the tyres themselves are premium-priced components best suited to serious bashers and competitors.
- How long do the M2 compound tyres last before wearing out? — The source material does not specify expected tyre lifespan or wear rates. Typical 1/7 scale truck tyres last 5-10 hours of heavy use before significant degradation, though this depends entirely on driving style, surface abrasiveness, and track conditions. Using tyres within the 70 mph speed rating will extend their usable life compared to running them beyond their design limits.
- Can I use these tyres on other vehicles besides the Mojave 6S and UDR? — The 6x30 hex adapters are specifically configured for Mojave 6S and UDR mounting, but Pro-Line manufactures a complete range of 6x30 hexes suitable for custom vehicles and aftermarket builds. You would need to purchase additional hex adapters separately to use these tyres on non-compatible platforms, though the removable hex system does provide flexibility for experimentation and custom fitments.
