Ready to run RC cars and trucks require dependable battery power, and the Radient brand has built a strong reputation for delivering quality LiPo packs that enthusiasts trust. This battery pack comes equipped with a Deans (HCT) connector, one of the most widely adopted connectors in the RC hobby, ensuring broad compatibility with electric RC vehicles and charging systems available throughout the UK market.
Key Features
- 50C Continuous Discharge Rating — This impressive discharge rate means the battery can safely deliver 110 amps of continuous current (2200mAh × 50C), providing the explosive power needed for aggressive acceleration, quick direction changes, and sustained high-speed running without voltage sag or performance degradation.
- 3S LiPo Chemistry (11.1V Nominal) — Three lithium polymer cells in series deliver 11.1 volts nominal output, with a fully charged voltage of 12.6V. This voltage configuration is the industry standard for mid-range brushless RC cars and offers the ideal balance between power delivery and component compatibility.
- 2200mAh Capacity — The 2200 milliamp-hour capacity provides approximately 10-20 minutes of runtime depending on your driving style, vehicle weight, and motor efficiency. This capacity strikes an excellent balance between weight and running time, ensuring your RC car remains nimble whilst providing adequate session duration.
- Deans (HCT) Connector — The Deans connector is the industry-standard plug type for RC batteries in the UK hobby market, offering excellent electrical contact reliability, minimal resistance, and broad compatibility with brushless ESCs, battery chargers, and balance connectors used across a wide range of RC vehicles.
- Compact Form Factor — Measuring just 106mm long, 36mm wide, and 25mm tall, this battery pack fits comfortably into vehicles with space-constrained battery bays, allowing you to optimise weight distribution and achieve better handling characteristics on your RC car.
- Soft Case Protection — The included soft protective case shields the battery from physical damage during transport and storage, extends the lifespan of your investment, and makes it easy to carry your battery safely to the track or bashing spot.
Technical Performance
The Radient 3S LiPo represents solid engineering and construction quality that RC enthusiasts expect from a trusted battery manufacturer. With a discharge rating of 50C, this battery pack delivers outstanding performance characteristics that suit both casual RC car bashers and more serious competitive drivers across the UK. The 11.1V nominal voltage (rising to 12.6V when fully charged) is perfectly matched to modern brushless motor systems, allowing you to extract maximum power from 3S-compatible ESCs whilst maintaining safe operating temperatures and avoiding component damage from overvoltage. The 2200mAh capacity provides sufficient energy density for meaningful runtime without excessive weight penalty, which is critical for maintaining the agility and responsiveness that make RC cars enjoyable to drive. The soft case construction protects the battery cells during transport and everyday use, whilst the Deans HCT connector ensures reliable electrical contact and compatibility with the vast majority of RC chargers, balancers, and vehicles currently in use throughout the UK hobby community. Whether you're running brushless motors in the 3000KV to 5500KV range or equivalent brushed motors, this 50C LiPo battery will deliver consistent, reliable power without voltage collapse under acceleration or mid-run throttle demands.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a 50C discharge rating and why does it matter for RC cars? — The 50C rating refers to the maximum continuous current the battery can safely deliver. With a 2200mAh capacity, a 50C battery can provide 110 amps of sustained current, which means your RC car will experience minimal voltage sag during acceleration and high-speed runs, resulting in more responsive handling, better throttle control, and more consistent performance throughout your driving session compared to lower-rated batteries.
- Is this battery suitable for RC racing in the UK? — Yes, the Radient 3S 2200mAh 50C LiPo is well-suited for competitive RC racing. The 50C discharge rating provides the power delivery needed for aggressive driving, quick acceleration, and high-speed cornering. The 2200mAh capacity offers sufficient runtime for short-course races and time trials, making it an excellent choice for UK RC racing clubs and events.
- What RC cars and trucks are compatible with this battery? — This battery is compatible with any electric RC vehicle designed for 3S LiPo batteries with a Deans connector. This includes most modern brushless RC buggies, RC stadium trucks, RC short-course trucks, RC monster trucks, and RC truggies currently available in the UK market, provided your vehicle's ESC and wiring are rated for 3S LiPo power.
- How long will this battery last during driving? — Runtime depends on several factors including your driving style (aggressive driving drains batteries faster), vehicle weight, motor size and type, ESC efficiency, and terrain. Generally, you can expect 10-20 minutes of continuous driving under typical conditions, with lighter vehicles and gentle driving yielding longer runtimes and heavier vehicles with aggressive driving producing shorter sessions.
- Can I use this battery with my RC car's existing charger? — This depends on your charger's specifications. You need a charger capable of handling 3S LiPo batteries with a Deans connector input. Most modern LiPo chargers available in the UK support 3S charging, but always verify your charger's manual to ensure compatibility and safe charging practices.
- Is this battery suitable for beginners? — The Radient 3S LiPo is suitable for RC hobbyists aged 14 and above who have basic knowledge of LiPo battery safety and charging procedures. Beginners should ensure they understand proper charging protocols, storage conditions, and never leave a charging battery unattended. If you're new to lithium polymer batteries, we recommend reading the safety guidelines and consulting experienced RC enthusiasts before your first charge.
- How should I store this battery when not in use? — Store your 3S LiPo battery in the provided soft protective case at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. For storage periods exceeding two weeks, charge or discharge the battery to approximately 50% capacity (around 10.5V nominal) to maintain cell health and extend battery lifespan. Always ensure the battery is stored safely away from metal objects and flammable materials.
- What is the difference between this 50C battery and a 30C battery? — The 50C rating means this battery can discharge at a higher rate than a 30C equivalent, delivering more current to your motors with less voltage sag. This results in better acceleration, more responsive throttle control, and more consistent power delivery under load. The 50C rating makes this battery superior for high-performance driving, whilst a 30C battery would be better suited to casual, lower-speed applications.
