Overview

The ARRMA Granite/Vorteks 2WD BLX Bearing Kit represents an essential maintenance and upgrade component for RC enthusiasts across the UK who own ARRMA Granite or Vorteks vehicles. These precision-manufactured ball bearings are engineered to keep your RC car running smoothly on all terrains, whether you're bashing through your local park or competing at the track. As dedicated RC hobbyists know, bearing maintenance is crucial to sustained performance, and having quality replacement bearings on hand ensures your ready to run RC monster truck or stadium truck remains in peak condition for countless hours of driving enjoyment.

Bearings are the unsung heroes of any RC vehicle, enabling smooth rotation of wheels and drivetrain components whilst minimising friction and wear. The ARRMA Granite/Vorteks 2WD BLX Bearing Kit delivers high-quality ball-race construction that meets ARRMA's exacting standards for reliability and performance. Whether you're a seasoned RC basher looking to maintain your vehicle, or someone discovering the world of brushless RC cars for the first time, having genuine ARRMA replacement bearings ensures your investment continues to deliver the exceptional performance these vehicles are known for.

This bearing kit is specifically designed for compatibility with ARRMA's popular Granite and Vorteks model ranges, making it an ideal upgrade or replacement option for 2WD variants. The closed ball-race face design provides added durability and protection from dirt and debris, a critical consideration when driving your RC car in outdoor environments across the UK where mud, sand, and dust are common hazards.

Key Features

  • High-Quality Ball-Race Construction — These bearings are manufactured to precision standards using high-quality materials, ensuring smooth rotation and minimal friction loss that translates directly into better performance and longer component lifespan for your RC vehicle.
  • Closed Ball-Race Face Design — The sealed design protects the internal bearing races from dirt, dust, mud and moisture, critical protection when driving your RC car outdoors in British weather conditions where contamination is a real concern.
  • Compatible with ARRMA Granite and Vorteks Models — These bearings are engineered specifically for ARRMA's 2WD Granite and Vorteks vehicles, guaranteeing perfect fitment and performance without compatibility issues.
  • Precision Manufacturing Standards — ARRMA's bearing manufacturing process ensures consistent quality and dimensional accuracy, meaning replacement bearings perform identically to original factory components.
  • Two Bearings Per Pack — The kit includes two complete bearings, providing everything you need for a typical maintenance or repair operation on your RC vehicle.
  • 5x10x4mm Specification — The precise 5x10x4mm size is optimised for ARRMA Granite and Vorteks chassis geometry, ensuring optimal performance characteristics and proper fit within the suspension and drivetrain assemblies.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA Granite/Vorteks 2WD BLX Bearing Kit represents essential hardware for maintaining optimal performance on your brushless RC monster truck or stadium truck. The 5x10x4mm ball bearings feature precision-ground races and quality steel construction that minimises rotational resistance, allowing maximum power from your brushless motor to transfer directly to wheel rotation. The closed ball-race face is particularly important for UK RC enthusiasts who drive in damp conditions, as it prevents water ingress and corrosion that can degrade bearing performance over time. These bearings maintain their smooth operation even under the demanding loads experienced during aggressive bashing or competitive racing, where sudden acceleration, hard cornering and impact forces all contribute to wear and tear. The high-quality construction ensures consistent performance throughout extended RC sessions, and the standard fitment on numerous ARRMA models confirms these bearings are engineered to handle real-world driving conditions that UK RC enthusiasts regularly encounter.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What ARRMA models are compatible with this bearing kit? — This bearing kit is specifically designed for ARRMA Granite and Vorteks 2WD models. The 5x10x4mm size matches the bearing specifications for these vehicles, making it a perfect replacement component for maintenance or upgrade purposes.
  • How often should I replace my RC car bearings? — Bearing replacement intervals depend on driving frequency and conditions. UK RC enthusiasts who drive regularly in wet or sandy conditions should inspect bearings more frequently, as contamination can accelerate wear. Most bashers replace bearings annually or every 20-30 hours of operation, whichever comes first. The closed ball-race design of these ARRMA bearings provides excellent protection, potentially extending service life.
  • Will these bearings fit my brushless RC car? — Yes, these bearings are designed specifically for ARRMA Granite and Vorteks 2WD variants and are compatible with both brushed and brushless motor configurations. The bearing size and specification remain constant regardless of motor type.
  • Are ARRMA OEM bearings better than aftermarket alternatives? — ARRMA original equipment manufacturer bearings are precision-manufactured to exact specifications and quality standards that match your vehicle's engineering. Genuine OEM bearings like this kit ensure consistent performance and optimal compatibility, whereas aftermarket alternatives may introduce tolerance variations that affect handling and performance.
  • How do I know if my bearings need replacing? — Signs of bearing wear include grinding sounds during rotation, notchy or hesitant wheel spinning, reduced top speed, or visible dirt contamination inside the bearing races. If you notice any of these symptoms on your RC car, bearing replacement should be your next maintenance step.
  • Is bearing maintenance important for weekend bashers? — Absolutely. Whether you're a casual RC basher enjoying your vehicle at weekends or a competitive racer, bearing maintenance is fundamental to vehicle reliability and performance. Clean, well-maintained bearings ensure smooth operation and prevent cascading damage to other drivetrain components.
