Overview
The ARRMA Sliding Motor Mount Plate 50 Series in stunning anodised red is an essential spare part and performance upgrade for ARRMA 1/7 Limitless V2 Speed Bash models. Whether you're a seasoned RC enthusiast running competitive builds or a weekend basher looking to optimise your RC car UK setup, this precision-engineered motor mount plate delivers the adjustability and durability needed for serious high-performance RC action. The red anodised finish perfectly complements ARRMA's iconic styling whilst providing genuine functional benefits that serious RC racers and hobbyists demand from their equipment.
Designed specifically for the 1/7 scale Limitless V2 platform, this sliding motor mount plate gives you the critical ability to fine-tune motor position for optimal power delivery, acceleration response, and overall chassis balance. Motor positioning directly affects how your brushless RC car behaves under load, and having the flexibility to adjust this setting without permanent modifications is invaluable for both track testing and street bashing. This is the kind of upgrade that separates a good RC build from a great one, allowing you to extract maximum performance from your motor and drivetrain combination.
If you're serious about getting the best from your ARRMA Limitless V2, or you've damaged your original motor mount and need a replacement, the ARRMA Sliding Motor Mount Plate 50 Series offers genuine OEM quality with the adjustability features that modern high-performance RC requires. It's the kind of component that often goes unnoticed until you realise how much it matters to your driving experience.
Key Features
- Precision Aluminium Construction — Machined from lightweight aluminium to reduce unsprung weight and deliver consistent, reliable hardware fit across repeated use and tuning cycles, which is essential for maintaining predictable handling characteristics in competitive RC car driving.
- Anodised Red Finish — Features hard anodised red coating that provides significantly increased durability against corrosion, impact damage, and the wear that comes from extreme RC action whilst maintaining ARRMA's recognisable aesthetic appeal.
- Motor Position Adjustment from Above — The genius of this design lies in accessing the adjustment screws from directly above the motor mount, meaning you can fine-tune motor timing and position without having to disassemble large portions of your chassis or remove the motor entirely, saving valuable time during setup and testing.
- Heat Dissipation Properties — The aluminium construction naturally conducts and dissipates heat generated during intense RC racing and bashing sessions, helping to protect your motor from thermal stress and maintain consistent performance during extended running periods.
- 50mm Motor Compatibility — Engineered specifically for motors up to 50mm in diameter and 110mm in length with a 25mm mounting screw pitch, meaning it's perfectly matched to the standard motor size used in the Limitless V2 and compatible brushless motor options.
- Secure Mounting Point — Provides a safe, locked mounting position that holds your motor absolutely rigid and secure even during aggressive acceleration, cornering, and impact, preventing any unwanted movement that could affect performance or cause damage.
Technical Performance
This sliding motor mount plate represents the kind of engineering detail that ARRMA has become known for in the competitive RC community. Manufactured from lightweight aluminium, the component reduces overall vehicle weight whilst maintaining the rigid structural integrity required to keep your brushless motor perfectly aligned and vibration-free under extreme driving conditions. The anodised red finish isn't purely cosmetic; hard anodising creates a protective oxide layer that resists corrosion from moisture, salt spray, and the general wear that comes from outdoor RC use across the UK. The 50mm motor specification covers the vast majority of modern 1/7 scale brushless motors on the market, including high-KV racing motors and lower-KV torque-focused variants. The 25mm mounting screw pitch is the standard specification for this class of motor. The engineering allows adjustment of motor position to fine-tune mesh with your pinion gear and overall drivetrain response, something that makes a tangible difference to acceleration characteristics, efficiency, and thermal management. When paired with the required ARA320664 Sliding Motor Mount base plate, this creates a fully adjustable system that gives you genuine setup flexibility without the need for permanent modifications to your chassis.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the ARRMA Sliding Motor Mount Plate 50 Series compatible with my RC car? — This part is specifically designed for the ARRMA 1/7 Limitless V2 Speed Bash model. It will not fit other scales or ARRMA platforms. Always check your model documentation to confirm compatibility before purchasing spare parts for your RC car UK.
- What motors will fit this motor mount plate? — This sliding mount plate accommodates brushless motors up to 50mm in diameter and 110mm in length with a 25mm mounting screw pitch. This covers most standard 1/7 scale brushless options available for the Limitless V2 platform, including both racing and bashing-oriented variants.
- Why would I need an adjustable motor mount instead of a fixed one? — Motor positioning directly affects your RC car's performance. By adjusting the motor's vertical position, you control pinion-to-spur gear mesh, which impacts acceleration response, efficiency, motor temperature, and overall drivetrain behaviour. Having the ability to fine-tune this without permanent modifications is essential for competitive racers and serious enthusiasts optimising their setup.
- Is this suitable for beginners? — This is a spare part and tuning component rather than an entry-level product. It's best suited to RC owners already familiar with their vehicle and comfortable with basic maintenance and adjustment procedures. Beginners may find this useful as a replacement if they damage their original mount, but it requires knowledge of proper assembly and motor mesh tuning.
- Do I need any special tools to install this motor mount plate? — Installation requires standard RC hobby tools including hex drivers and screwdrivers. You'll also need to understand basic motor mesh adjustment techniques to get the most benefit from the adjustable design. Detailed assembly instructions should be consulted before attempting installation.
- What makes the anodised finish important? — Hard anodising creates a protective layer that significantly improves corrosion resistance and durability compared to bare aluminium. This is especially important for RC cars used in outdoor conditions across the UK where moisture and variable weather can accelerate corrosion. The finish also contributes to ARRMA's distinctive red aesthetic styling.
- Can this motor mount be used with different motor sizes? — The specification clearly states it's designed for motors up to 50mm diameter and 110mm length with 25mm mounting pitch. Using incorrectly sized motors may result in loose fit, misalignment, or inability to secure the motor properly, potentially causing damage or safety issues during operation.
