Overview

The Pro-Line 1/10 Street Fighter M2 Front/Rear 2.2 inch/3.0 inch Short Course Tyres represent the ultimate solution for RC enthusiasts in the UK seeking long-wearing street performance. This is a pair of professional-grade tyres designed specifically for short course racing and bashing, combining cutting-edge on-road tyre technology with aggressive tread patterns that deliver exceptional durability and grip. Whether you're a serious competitor looking to dominate the track or a weekend basher wanting reliable tyres that will stand up to repeated use, the Street Fighter SC offers the perfect balance of performance and longevity.

These tyres are manufactured by Pro-Line, a company with a proud heritage of innovation in the RC hobby dating back to 1982. Made in the USA with decades of engineering expertise, the Street Fighter SC incorporates the latest advances in high-performance on-road tyre technology. The dual-profile design features 2.2 inch outer diameter and 3.0 inch inner diameter specifications, making these tyres compatible with standardised 2.2"/3.0" short course beads. This standardised sizing means you can easily fit these tyres to any compatible short course truck wheels, whether for front or rear positions.

Looking for the perfect long-wear street tyre for your RC short course truck? The Pro-Line Street Fighter SC delivers the G-force enhancement and eye-catching style that will keep your vehicle turning heads whilst maintaining the durability needed for repeated bashing sessions. The aggressive long-wear tread pattern is engineered to provide consistent grip across a wide range of driving conditions, whilst the M2 medium compound rubber offers the ideal balance between grip and tyre longevity. These are the tyres that serious RC car enthusiasts in the UK choose when they want performance that lasts.

Key Features

  • Standardised 2.2"/3.0" SC Bead Dimensions — These tyres are manufactured to standardised short course specifications, meaning they will fit any compatible 2.2"/3.0" short course wheels. This universal compatibility is essential when you want flexibility in your wheel and tyre setup, allowing you to experiment with different wheel designs without worrying about fitment issues.
  • Aggressive Long-Wear Tread Pattern — The tread design has been specifically engineered for longevity without sacrificing grip. The aggressive pattern provides excellent traction during cornering and acceleration, whilst the durable compound ensures the tyres maintain their performance characteristics even after extended use, making them ideal for bashers and racers who want value for money.
  • M2 Medium Compound Rubber — The M2 compound represents a carefully balanced formulation that offers both grip and durability. This medium hardness compound is versatile enough to perform well across different track surfaces and driving styles, whether you're running on asphalt, concrete or mixed terrain. The medium compound is also more forgiving on tyres compared to harder compounds, meaning you'll get more running time before needing replacement.
  • Made in the USA Since 1982 — Pro-Line's manufacturing heritage spans over four decades, and these tyres benefit from decades of engineering refinement. Manufacturing in the USA ensures strict quality control and consistency, so every pair of Street Fighter SC tyres you purchase meets the same exacting standards. This commitment to quality has made Pro-Line a trusted name in RC racing worldwide, and UK RC enthusiasts can purchase with confidence knowing they're buying from a manufacturer with a proven track record.
  • Versatile Front and Rear Use — These tyres are designed to be used in either front or rear positions on your short course truck. This versatility means you only need to purchase one set of tyres if you want to experiment with front and rear setups, and it gives you more options for tyre rotation strategies to extend the overall lifespan of your rubber.
  • Pair Pack for Ready-to-Use Installation — Each purchase includes a pair of tyres, meaning you'll have everything you need to outfit either the front axle or rear axle of your short course truck (or a mix of both if you purchase multiple sets). This convenient pairing removes the guesswork and ensures you always have matching tyres on each axle for consistent handling characteristics.

Technical Performance

The Pro-Line Street Fighter M2 tyres are engineered with meticulous attention to detail that reflects decades of RC racing expertise. The dual-profile construction, featuring a 2.2 inch outer diameter combined with a 3.0 inch inner diameter, creates a sophisticated tyre architecture that maximises contact patch whilst maintaining predictable handling characteristics. The M2 medium compound rubber has been formulated to provide an ideal compromise between grip and durability—essential for bashers and racers who cannot afford tyre degradation mid-race or mid-session. The aggressive tread pattern visible on the tyre sidewalls is not merely aesthetic; it serves a functional purpose, channelling water and debris away from the contact patch and providing micro-edges that bite into track surfaces for improved cornering speeds. The standardised 2.2"/3.0" bead dimensions ensure perfect fitment with any compatible short course wheel from Pro-Line or other manufacturers, eliminating the fitment uncertainty that sometimes plagues RC enthusiasts when mixing and matching components. Manufacturing in the United States to Pro-Line's proprietary specifications means each tyre undergoes quality assurance testing before shipment, so UK RC enthusiasts can purchase with confidence that they're receiving genuine, quality-controlled products. Whether running on paved track surfaces, concrete parking lots, or mixed-terrain bashlands, the Street Fighter SC's balanced design and proven compound formulation deliver the kind of consistent, predictable performance that serious RC racers demand.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Will these tyres fit my RC short course truck? — Yes, provided your truck uses standardised 2.2"/3.0" short course bead wheel fitment. These tyres are designed to be compatible with any short course truck that accepts standardised SC wheels. If you're unsure about your truck's wheel compatibility, please check your vehicle documentation or contact our team at RC Model Shop before ordering. We stock tyres and wheels for all major brands including Traxxas, Losi, ARRMA and more, so we can help you identify the right fitment for your specific vehicle.
  • Are Pro-Line Street Fighter tyres suitable for racing or bashers? — These tyres are excellent for both applications. The aggressive long-wear tread pattern and M2 medium compound make them equally at home in competitive racing situations where grip and durability matter, and in casual bashing sessions where longevity and value-for-money are important. Many UK RC racers use the Street Fighter SC for practice sessions and club racing, whilst bashers appreciate the tyre's ability to withstand repeated heavy use without premature wear.
  • What is the difference between M2 and other Pro-Line tyre compounds? — Pro-Line manufactures tyres in several compound hardnesses, with M2 representing a medium compound that balances grip and durability. Softer compounds (like M0 or M1) provide more grip but wear faster, making them ideal for competition racing in optimal conditions. Harder compounds provide more durability but less grip. The M2 medium compound is the sweet spot for drivers who want versatile performance across different conditions and driving styles, and who don't want to change tyres constantly due to wear.
  • Can I use these tyres on both front and rear of my truck? — Yes, absolutely. The Street Fighter SC is designed as a dual-purpose tyre that works effectively in either front or rear positions on your short course truck. This flexibility means you can tailor your setup based on track conditions and personal preference, or simply rotate tyres between positions to extend overall tyre life.
  • How long will these tyres last with regular use? — The aggressive long-wear tread pattern and durable M2 compound mean these tyres will outlast many softer-compound alternatives, especially if used for recreational bashing or practice driving. Actual lifespan depends on driving style, track surface, and frequency of use. Aggressive racing naturally wears tyres faster than casual bashing, but the Street Fighter SC's reputation in the RC community is built on exceptional durability compared to competing products.
  • Do these tyres require gluing to my wheels? — This depends on your specific wheel type and setup. Most short course wheels use a bead system that allows tyres to be mounted and removed without gluing, which is convenient for tyre changes and experimentation. Some competition setups use glued tyres for maximum grip. We recommend checking your wheel documentation or contacting us for guidance if you're unsure about your specific wheel system.
