Overview
The Losi LRC Adj Rear Hinge Pin Brace with Inserts for the 8B/T 2.0 is a precision chassis component designed specifically for drivers who demand the highest level of performance tuning from their RC buggy. This adjustable rear hinge pin brace represents Losi's commitment to providing competitive racers and serious hobbyists with genuine spare parts that enable fine-tuned handling characteristics. Whether you're setting up a brand new 8B or 8T 2.0, or you're an experienced RC enthusiast in the UK looking to optimise your chassis geometry, this component plays a crucial role in controlling rear roll centre behaviour and overall vehicle dynamics.
Built by Losi, a recognised leader in off-road RC car engineering, this part comes with multiple insert options that allow you to adjust the rear hinge pin position. This adjustability is what sets quality tuning parts apart from basic replacements. By changing the insert configuration, you can modify how the chassis responds in corners, affecting grip levels, stability during acceleration and braking, and overall cornering performance. It's the kind of detailed engineering that separates competitive RC cars from casual weekend bashers, making this an essential upgrade for anyone serious about getting the most from their 8B/T 2.0 platform.
Available as a spare part, the LRC Adj Rear Hinge Pin Brace with Inserts (model Z-LOSA1759) is engineered to OEM specifications and is manufactured to the same exacting standards as the original equipment. This is a chassis parts component that experienced builders and tuners rely upon when setting up their competition vehicles or when replacing a damaged original part. For UK RC enthusiasts looking for authentic Losi spares and genuine chassis tuning components, this adjustable rear hinge pin brace delivers the precision and reliability you need.
Key Features
- Adjustable Rear Hinge Pin Position — The brace features adjustability that allows you to change the rear roll centre geometry of your 8B or 8T 2.0 chassis, which directly impacts how the vehicle handles in different racing conditions and driving styles by altering suspension geometry and overall chassis behaviour.
- Included Insert Options — This part comes with multiple inserts supplied as standard, giving you the flexibility to fine-tune your chassis setup without needing to purchase additional tuning components separately, saving you money and providing immediate setup versatility.
- Precision Engineering — Manufactured to exacting Losi specifications, this brace is engineered as a genuine OEM component that maintains exact tolerances and quality standards, ensuring reliable performance and compatibility with your 8B or 8T 2.0 buggy.
- Low Roll Centre Design — The LRC (Low Roll Centre) geometry specification means this brace is optimised to work with Losi's latest suspension tuning philosophy, helping to reduce body roll during cornering and providing more consistent grip across a wider range of driving conditions.
- Direct Compatibility — Designed specifically for the Losi 8B/T 2.0 and 8ight EU platforms, this part integrates seamlessly with your existing chassis without requiring modification or adaptation, ensuring bolt-on simplicity.
- Chassis Tuning Foundation — As a core suspension geometry component, this rear hinge pin brace is fundamental to serious chassis setup, allowing competitors and experienced tuners to achieve precise handling characteristics tailored to track conditions and personal preference.
Technical Performance
The Losi LRC Adj Rear Hinge Pin Brace with Inserts represents the kind of engineering detail that serious RC buggy enthusiasts and competitive drivers understand is essential for optimal performance. This is a chassis parts component classified specifically as a suspension geometry control element, designed to manage the pivot point and effective roll centre position of the rear suspension linkage on the Losi 8B/T 2.0 and 8ight EU platforms. The adjustability feature is what makes this component particularly valuable: by swapping the included insert options, you can effectively change the rear roll centre height and geometry, which fundamentally alters how the chassis distributes weight during cornering, acceleration and braking. The inserts allow for step changes in geometry that let you adapt the vehicle's handling to different track conditions, ambient temperatures and tyre characteristics without needing to manufacture custom parts or purchase multiple different braces. The part is manufactured from materials and using processes consistent with Losi's OEM standards, ensuring dimensional accuracy and durability through multiple race meetings and intense practice sessions. This is the kind of component that serious UK RC racing enthusiasts invest in when they're committed to understanding and optimising every aspect of their vehicle's performance envelope. The LRC specification indicates this brace works within Losi's low roll centre suspension philosophy, which research and competition experience have shown to provide excellent all-round handling characteristics across varying track conditions. For buggy racing, where thousandths of a second separate winners from second place, having the ability to fine-tune roll centre geometry with genuine OEM parts like this makes a measurable difference in overall competitiveness and predictability.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a rear hinge pin brace and why does it matter on my RC buggy? — The rear hinge pin brace is a suspension geometry component that controls where the rear suspension pivots. By adjusting its position using the included inserts, you can change the rear roll centre height, which affects how much the chassis leans in corners, how much grip you get, and overall handling characteristics. For serious RC enthusiasts setting up a competition vehicle, this component is crucial for fine-tuning performance.
- Will this part fit my Losi 8B or 8T 2.0? — Yes, this brace is designed specifically for the Losi 8B/T 2.0 and 8ight EU platforms. It installs directly onto your chassis without modification, though you should consult your vehicle's manual or build guide to understand the correct installation procedure and which insert option to use for your particular setup.
- What are the insert options used for? — The included inserts allow you to adjust the effective position of the hinge pin, changing the rear roll centre height. Different inserts will give you different handling characteristics: some will make the chassis feel more stable but potentially less responsive, whilst others will increase responsiveness but may require more driver finesse. Finding your preferred insert is part of the chassis tuning process.
- Is this an upgrade or a replacement part? — This can serve both purposes. If you're building a new 8B/T 2.0 from a kit, the brace comes as part of your chassis. If you already have a vehicle and want to experiment with different roll centre geometry to improve handling, you can use this as an upgrade. If your original brace is damaged, this is a genuine replacement that will restore your chassis to factory specifications.
- What other parts might I need to complete my chassis setup? — The rear hinge pin brace is one component of the suspension system. To have a complete, race-ready 8B/T 2.0, you'll need a motor, ESC, battery, receiver, servo, shocks, springs, arms, and other chassis components. Losi offers these as both complete ready-to-run vehicles and as individual spare parts through authorised retailers like RC Model Shop.
- How often will I need to replace this brace? — Under normal racing and bashing conditions, a quality brace should last a long time. However, if you crash hard enough to bend the brace itself, you may need to replace it. The included inserts are typically reusable, but if you lose them, they would need to be replaced separately.
