Overview

The E-flite 13g Digital Micro Servo (Z-EFLR7155) is a compact and lightweight digital servo designed specifically for small-scale RC aircraft and indoor flyers where precision control and weight savings are paramount. This microservo represents the perfect balance between performance and portability, making it an ideal choice for RC hobbyists in the UK who demand reliable, accurate control in their smallest RC models. Whether you're flying an E-flite Apprentice, Carbon Z aircraft, or any other compatible lightweight airframe, this digital micro servo delivers the centring accuracy and consistent response that discerning RC pilots expect.

Weighing just 13 grams, the EFLR7155 is engineered to fit into the confined spaces of small RC aircraft without compromising on control authority or reliability. The digital electronics provide superior accuracy compared to analogue alternatives, ensuring your RC model responds precisely to your control inputs every single time. This servo has earned its place as a practical replacement option across numerous E-flite airframes, which speaks to its proven reliability and performance in the field.

For anyone serious about RC flying in the UK—whether you fly indoors, outdoors, at your local flying club, or in your back garden—the E-flite 13g Digital Micro Servo offers the compact size, accurate control and dependable performance needed to get the best from your aircraft. It's a genuine spare part backed by the trusted E-flite brand, and it's available now from RC Model Shop.

Key Features

  • Digital Electronics for Superior Accuracy — Digital servo technology provides more precise centring and more consistent response than analogue servo designs, which means your RC aircraft will respond exactly as you command it, every single flight.
  • Extremely Lightweight at Just 13 Grams — The 13-gram weight specification makes this servo ideal for small, lightweight RC aircraft where every gram matters and where saving weight directly improves flight performance and battery endurance.
  • Compact Micro Servo Form Factor — Specifically designed as a micro servo, the Z-EFLR7155 fits neatly into the tight spaces found in small RC airframes, allowing for tidy, professional installations without compromising on control geometry.
  • Proven Compatibility Across E-flite Fleet — This servo works seamlessly with a huge range of E-flite models including the Apprentice S, Carbon Z Cub, Carbon Z Yak 54 3X, Cessna 150 Aerobat, and many others, making it an essential spare for E-flite RC pilots.
  • Direct Replacement Capability — Serves as a practical replacement servo for existing installations, allowing you to repair, upgrade or maintain your RC aircraft without needing to source hard-to-find original equipment.

Technical Performance

The E-flite 13g Digital Micro Servo is engineered with digital control electronics that set it apart from traditional analogue servos. The digital architecture delivers improved centring accuracy and more consistent response throughout the servo's operating range, which translates directly to more predictable and controllable flight characteristics in your RC aircraft. At just 13 grams, this micro servo represents an excellent weight-to-performance ratio, making it the logical choice for builders and flyers who understand that in small RC aircraft, every gram of weight saved improves climb performance, reduces power draw on the battery, and extends flight times. The servo's compact dimensions allow for installation in tight spaces without requiring airframe modifications, and the robust construction typical of E-flite servos ensures reliable operation through countless flights. The servo features standard servo lead connectors, and the lead length of 350mm is suitable for most small airframe installations, though RC pilots flying the Apprentice S with wing-mounted servos may require an extension lead such as the ET0733 to reach from the wing to the fuselage-mounted receiver.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is the E-flite 13g Digital Micro Servo suitable for my E-flite aircraft? — This servo is compatible with a comprehensive range of E-flite models including the Apprentice S, Apprentice STS, Carbon Z Cub, Carbon Z Cub 2M, Carbon Z Cub SS 2.1m, Carbon Z Yak 54 3X, Carbon Z Cessna 150 Aerobat, Cessna 150T 2.1m, FJ-2 Fury DF, Night Visionaire, Opterra 1200, Sukhoi SU-29MM, and Sukhoi SU-29MM Gen2. A complete compatibility list is available, so check your specific model's part listing to confirm before ordering.
  • What is the servo lead length and will it fit my aircraft? — The standard servo lead length is 350mm, which is sufficient for most small RC airframe installations. However, if you're installing servos in the wings of aircraft like the Apprentice S, you may need a servo extension lead (such as the ET0733) to bridge the gap between the wing-mounted servo and the fuselage-mounted receiver. This is a common requirement and extension leads are inexpensive and readily available.
  • Can I use this servo as a replacement in my existing E-flite aircraft? — Yes, the Z-EFLR7155 is designed as a practical replacement option for numerous E-flite airframes. If your aircraft originally came with a 13g digital micro servo, this part is a direct replacement. Always consult your aircraft's manual to confirm the correct servo specification before ordering.
  • What servo arms fit this servo? — The servo arm PKZ1132 has been confirmed as compatible with the EFLR7155. You should verify compatibility with any other servo arm before purchase, as not all arms fit all servo types.
  • Is digital servo technology worth the upgrade from analogue? — Yes. Digital servos offer superior centring accuracy and more consistent response throughout their operating range compared to analogue servos. In RC aircraft, especially small, precision-demanding models, this improved accuracy translates to better control feel, more predictable handling, and ultimately a more enjoyable flying experience.
  • Does E-flite offer a gear set for this servo? — Unfortunately, E-flite does not manufacture a replacement gear set for the EFLR7155. However, the servo is designed to be durable and reliable through normal operation, and replacement servos are inexpensive enough that full replacement is the practical solution if internal damage occurs.
