Overview

The E-flite 4 Blade Propeller 14.5 x 9 is a genuine OEM spare part designed specifically for the DRACO 2.0m electric RC aircraft. Whether you're a seasoned RC plane enthusiast or exploring electric flight for the first time, having quality replacement propellers on hand is essential for maintaining reliable performance and ensuring your model stays in the air. This four-blade configuration is engineered to deliver the ideal balance of thrust and efficiency for models designed to this specification, making it a crucial component in your RC hobby arsenal.

The DRACO 2.0m is a distinctive electric-powered RC aircraft that demands precision engineering in every component, and this propeller meets those exacting standards. With a 14.5-inch diameter and 9-inch pitch, this propeller is optimised for the DRACO 2.0m's flight characteristics and power system requirements. UK RC enthusiasts and operators know that genuine manufacturer parts like this E-flite propeller ensure compatibility, safety and longevity — and this spare is an absolute must-have for any DRACO 2.0m pilot who wants to avoid downtime between flights.

E-flite, part of the Horizon Hobby family, is globally recognised for producing high-quality RC aircraft and components. When you choose genuine E-flite spares, you're investing in proven design, rigorous testing and the confidence that comes with factory-engineered parts. This 4-blade propeller represents the kind of attention to detail that makes E-flite a trusted name in RC aviation across the UK and beyond.

Key Features

  • Four-Blade Design — The four-blade configuration provides improved efficiency and thrust distribution compared to two or three-blade alternatives, delivering more balanced and stable flight characteristics across a wider range of flight regimes, which is particularly important for models like the DRACO 2.0m that demand smooth, predictable handling.
  • 14.5-Inch Diameter — The 14.5-inch diameter is precisely matched to the DRACO 2.0m's aerodynamic design and motor capabilities, ensuring optimal revolutions per minute and air displacement for efficient energy conversion from your electric power system.
  • 9-Inch Pitch — A 9-inch pitch means that for every complete rotation, the propeller theoretically advances 9 inches through the air, a specification engineered to match the DRACO 2.0m's design envelope and deliver the correct thrust-to-weight ratio for smooth flight performance.
  • Genuine OEM Spare Part — This is an authentic factory part identified by the official E-flite part number EFLP145904B, guaranteeing that you're getting exactly what the manufacturers intended for your model, not an aftermarket substitute or copy that might compromise flight safety or performance.
  • Perfect Compatibility — Specifically engineered for the DRACO 2.0m RC aircraft, this propeller is guaranteed to fit correctly with proper installation, eliminating guesswork and ensuring secure, balanced mounting from the first flight.
  • Quality Manufacturing — E-flite propellers are manufactured to exacting standards with careful attention to balance, structural integrity and aerodynamic performance, ensuring reliable operation flight after flight and season after season.

Technical Performance

The E-flite 4 Blade Propeller 14.5 x 9 represents precision engineering optimised for electric RC flight. The four-blade configuration distributes aerodynamic loads more evenly than two or three-blade designs, resulting in smoother operation, reduced vibration and more stable flight characteristics across varying speed ranges. The 14.5 x 9 specification has been carefully selected through Horizon Hobby's extensive flight testing to deliver the ideal combination of thrust production and efficiency for the DRACO 2.0m platform. Build quality is exceptional, with attention paid to blade alignment, tip geometry and overall balance — factors that directly impact flight smoothness and battery runtime. The propeller's structural design ensures it can reliably handle the power demands of the DRACO 2.0m's electric motor system whilst maintaining the precise aerodynamic characteristics essential for predictable, safe flight. Before each flight, it's important to visually inspect the propeller for any signs of damage and verify that it's properly balanced and securely mounted, as this directly affects flight performance and safety.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is this propeller compatible with my DRACO 2.0m RC aircraft? — Yes, this E-flite 4 Blade Propeller 14.5 x 9 is specifically designed and recommended for the DRACO 2.0m. However, always consult your model's instruction manual to confirm proper installation and fitment before use, as this ensures you're installing it correctly and safely.
  • Why do I need a replacement propeller for my RC aircraft? — Propellers are consumable parts that can suffer damage from impact with grass, dirt, obstacles or other objects during landing, take-off or flight operations. Having spare propellers on hand means you can quickly swap out a damaged prop and get back in the air without lengthy downtime, which is essential if you fly regularly or competitively.
  • How do I ensure my propeller is properly balanced? — Before each flight, inspect the propeller visually for cracks, splits, gouges or other damage. A propeller that is out of balance or damaged will cause vibration in flight, which reduces stability, wastes battery power and can even damage your motor and airframe over time. If you suspect imbalance, use a propeller balancer to check and correct it before flying.
  • What is the difference between two-blade, three-blade and four-blade propellers? — Two-blade propellers offer high-speed capability and lower weight but can produce more vibration. Three-blade propellers provide a middle ground. Four-blade propellers like this one distribute thrust and load across more blades, resulting in smoother operation, reduced vibration, better low-speed thrust and more stable flight characteristics — making them ideal for models like the DRACO 2.0m that benefit from smooth, predictable handling.
  • How should I store my spare propellers? — Store propellers in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Avoid stacking heavy objects on top of them, as this can cause warping. Keeping them in their original packaging or in a dedicated propeller case helps protect them from damage and keeps them organised and ready for use.
  • What's the difference between this E-flite propeller and cheaper alternatives I've seen online? — Genuine E-flite propellers are manufactured to strict tolerances and undergo quality control testing to ensure consistent balance, aerodynamic performance and durability. Cheap aftermarket propellers may have manufacturing inconsistencies that result in vibration, reduced efficiency or unexpected failure during flight, potentially damaging your aircraft and ending your flying session.
