Overview

The BLH Fbl Follower Arms for the Blade 360 CFX represent a genuine OEM replacement part engineered to maintain the precision and reliability of your micro helicopter. These follower arms are critical components of the FBL (Flybarless) main rotor head assembly, working in concert with the swashplate mechanism to control the cyclic pitch of your main rotor blades. Whether you're a dedicated RC helicopter enthusiast flying micro helis in the UK or an experienced pilot looking to maintain peak performance, having genuine Blade spare parts on hand ensures your aircraft stays in top flying form. The 360 CFX has earned its reputation as one of the most capable micro helicopters available, and keeping it equipped with factory-original components like these follower arms is essential for maintaining that level of performance and handling characteristics.

Crashes and hard landings are an inevitable part of RC helicopter flying, and the follower arms can suffer damage that affects the precise control inputs your helicopter requires. Rather than attempting field repairs or flying with damaged linkage components, genuine replacement follower arms restore your helicopter to factory specifications immediately. At RC Model Shop, we stock a comprehensive range of genuine Blade 360 CFX spares and upgrades, ensuring you always have access to the exact parts you need to keep your helicopter ready for flight. These follower arms are designed to work seamlessly with other FBL main rotor components including the main grip arms, main rotor grip set, and aluminium swashplate, creating a harmonious system that delivers the responsive, stable flight characteristics the 360 CFX is known for.

If you fly RC helicopters regularly or compete in micro heli events, keeping crash-prone spares like follower arms in your field box is essential preparation. With genuine Blade parts, you can be confident that replacements will integrate perfectly with your existing setup without any adjustment or compatibility concerns. The BLH Fbl Follower Arms for the Blade 360 CFX are an investment in maintaining your helicopter's performance and reliability for years of enjoyable flying.

Key Features

  • Genuine OEM Blade Component — These follower arms are manufactured by Blade to the same exacting standards as the original parts in your helicopter, ensuring perfect compatibility and performance matching with all other 360 CFX components.
  • FBL Main Rotor Head Assembly — The follower arms are a crucial part of the flybarless rotor head system, working with the swashplate to translate your cyclic inputs into precise rotor blade pitch changes for responsive flight control.
  • Critical Crash-Prone Component — Follower arms are among the parts most likely to sustain damage during crashes and heavy landings, making it wise to keep spares readily available in your field kit so you can return to flight quickly.
  • Perfect Match for 360 CFX Upgrades — Whether you're using the standard FBL main grip set, upgrading to the aluminium swashplate, or installing the optional main grip arms, these follower arms work perfectly within any configuration of your rotor head assembly.
  • Essential for Reliable Flight Characteristics — Damaged or worn follower arms degrade control precision and can introduce unwanted oscillations or lag in your cyclic response, making replacement essential for maintaining the smooth, stable handling the 360 CFX delivers.

Technical Performance

The BLH Fbl Follower Arms are precision-engineered linkage components designed to operate within the Blade 360 CFX's advanced flybarless main rotor head assembly. As part of the swashplate control system, these arms translate servo inputs from your cyclic servos into the subtle pitch changes required for 3-axis helicopter flight control. The engineering precision of these components is critical; even small deviations in alignment, length, or movement can introduce control issues ranging from minor trim changes to significant handling degradation. The follower arms must maintain perfect parallel movement while supporting the forces generated by rotor blade loads and cyclic inputs. Material selection ensures durability whilst keeping mass minimal, as any unnecessary weight in the rotor head negatively impacts overall helicopter performance and responsiveness. The arms are dimensionally matched to work with Blade's exclusive swashplate mechanism and servo mounting configuration, ensuring seamless integration with other 360 CFX components. Regular inspection of these parts is recommended, particularly after high-impact crashes or unusual vibrations during flight.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are these genuine Blade 360 CFX parts or aftermarket replacements? — These are genuine OEM Blade components manufactured to the same exacting standards as the original parts supplied with your helicopter. Choosing genuine parts ensures perfect compatibility and performance matching with your entire rotor head assembly.
  • How do I know if my follower arms need replacing? — Visual inspection should reveal any cracks, bends, or breaks in the follower arms. Additionally, if you notice sloppy or inconsistent cyclic control, notchy servo response, or unusual vibration during flight, damaged follower arms could be the cause. After any hard crash, it's wise to inspect these components carefully.
  • What other FBL rotor head parts work with these follower arms? — These follower arms are compatible with the complete range of Blade 360 CFX FBL main rotor head components, including the FBL main rotor grip set (BLH4701), FBL main grip arms (BLH4702), aluminium swashplate (BLH4709), and spindle sets (BLH4705). They work with standard H3055 and H3065 Spektrum servo options as well.
  • Are these follower arms difficult to install? — Installation requires basic mechanical knowledge and careful attention to detail. Your Blade 360 CFX manual contains specific instructions for rotor head assembly and disassembly. If you're unfamiliar with helicopter maintenance, our knowledgeable team at RC Model Shop can provide guidance, or you may wish to consult experienced RC helicopter pilots in your local flying community.
  • Why should I buy follower arms in advance of needing them? — Because these are relatively crash-prone components and RC helicopter flying inevitably involves occasional impacts, keeping spare follower arms in your field box means you can quickly replace damaged parts and return to flying without delay. Running out to order parts after a crash means lost flying time.
  • How do these follower arms compare to other 360 CFX rotor head parts? — The follower arms are just one component of the complete FBL rotor head system. They work in conjunction with the main grip arms, main rotor grip set, and swashplate. Using all genuine components ensures the entire system functions harmoniously and delivers the responsive, stable flight characteristics the 360 CFX is renowned for.
