Stainless steel construction is a game-changer for RC enthusiasts who demand longevity and corrosion resistance, particularly important for rock crawlers that frequently tackle wet, muddy, and demanding environments. The M6x 162mm specification provides the exact geometry required for proper suspension articulation and steering response on SCX10 III platforms, making these links an ideal choice whether you're replacing worn factory components or optimizing your rock crawler's suspension setup. Perfect for both weekend bashers and dedicated competition drivers, this Axial chassis parts upgrade ensures your ready to run RC crawler maintains peak performance lap after lap and season after season.
RC Model Shop stocks genuine Axial replacement parts and optional upgrades to help you get the absolute most from your SCX10 III investment. These suspension links represent the quality and precision engineering that Axial is renowned for across their entire range of scale crawlers and rock climbing machines.
Key Features
- Stainless Steel Construction — The use of premium stainless steel eliminates rust and corrosion concerns, extending component lifespan significantly longer than standard steel alternatives, which is particularly valuable when using your RC car UK in wet weather or around salty environments.
- M6 Specification — The M6 thread size is purpose-engineered for SCX10 III suspension geometry, ensuring precise fitment and optimal articulation performance without modification or adjustment.
- 162mm Length — This exact length maintains the suspension's geometry envelope, critical for proper weight distribution, steering response, and the impressive ground clearance that makes SCX10 III crawlers so capable.
- Pair Supplied — You receive two links per package, typically allowing for complete replacement of both sides or enabling strategic upgrades to enhance suspension tuning and performance characteristics.
- OEM Axial Part — As genuine manufacturer-produced components, these links guarantee compatibility and fit quality that aftermarket alternatives cannot reliably match.
- Chassis Parts Classification — Categorized as chassis parts rather than cosmetic upgrades, these links directly impact suspension performance, articulation range, and rock crawling capability.
Technical Performance
The AXIAL Stainless Steel M6x 162mm Link represents precision engineering at the smallest detail level of your 1/10 scale SCX10 III rock crawler. Stainless steel offers superior strength-to-weight characteristics compared to standard materials, whilst providing exceptional corrosion resistance that's essential for suspension components exposed to mud, water, and mineral deposits during off-road rock crawling adventures. The M6 thread specification and 162mm measurement have been carefully engineered by Axial to maintain the suspension geometry parameters that make SCX10 III platform crawlers so renowned for their articulation, breakover angle, and extreme terrain capability. These links work in concert with the SCX10 III's advanced suspension architecture to deliver the extended articulation and smooth power delivery that defines the platform's performance character. Installation is straightforward for users familiar with basic RC maintenance, and the stainless steel construction means these parts will remain corrosion-free and performance-ready for years of intensive use. The precision fit ensures no binding, squeaking, or play develops during operation, maintaining clean suspension action through even the most demanding rock gardens and technical terrain.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Which SCX10 III models are compatible with these suspension links? — These links are confirmed compatible with a comprehensive range of SCX10 III rock crawlers including the Pro-Line 1982 Chevy K10 RTR, Base Camp 4X4 Rock Crawler RTR (both white and grey versions), Coyote 4X4 RTR in both silver and blue, 1987 Toyota SR5 4X4 RTR, Early Ford Bronco 4WD Scale Crawler RTR (both blue and white), and Jeep CJ-7 4X4 RTR in both red and copper. They're also compatible with SCX10 III Jeep JT Gladiator models with and without portals, and both the Base Camp and Pro models available as RTR and builder kits. Checking the specific model code of your ready to run RC crawler against this compatibility list ensures perfect fitment.
- Are these links suitable for beginners new to RC? — While these are genuine OEM replacement parts, they're not a beginner-focused product in the traditional sense. Rather, they're a replacement component you would purchase when your existing links wear out or when you're ready to upgrade your SCX10 III crawler's suspension. Beginners purchasing a complete RTR model will receive suitable factory-standard links included in their package.
- What makes stainless steel links better than standard steel? — Stainless steel resists rust and corrosion significantly better than standard steel, which is crucial for suspension components that regularly contact water, mud, and minerals during outdoor rock crawling. This resistance extends the component lifespan dramatically, reduces maintenance requirements, and maintains a cleaner appearance throughout the life of your crawler.
- Can I fit these myself or do I need professional help? — These are standard suspension links that can be replaced by users comfortable with basic RC maintenance and tools. However, if you're unfamiliar with suspension work, RC Model Shop's experienced team are happy to provide guidance or fit the components for you.
- How many sets would I need to complete a full suspension upgrade? — A single pack contains two links, which typically represents one side of the suspension or both sides depending on suspension design. Check your SCX10 III manual or consult with RC Model Shop to determine whether one or multiple packs are required for your specific upgrade goals.
- Why are these Axial OEM parts rather than generic alternatives? — Axial-manufactured parts guarantee precise fitment, material quality, and suspension geometry compatibility that generic alternatives cannot reliably provide. Using OEM parts preserves your rock crawler's geometry and performance characteristics exactly as engineered by Axial's design team.
