- Wide Model Compatibility — These shock bodies are compatible with an extensive range of SCX10 III variants, including the Base Camp, Coyote, Jeep CJ-7, Early Ford Bronco, Jeep JT Gladiator, and Toyota SR5 models, making them a versatile upgrade for SCX10 III owners across the UK.
Technical Performance
The Axial Threaded Shock Body Alum HA delivers professional-grade suspension performance for 1/10 scale RC crawlers. Constructed from hard-anodised aluminium, these shock bodies provide the rigidity needed to maintain consistent suspension geometry under load whilst remaining lightweight enough to preserve your RC car's overall balance and responsiveness. The threaded design is the key to unlocking full suspension adjustability—unlike fixed-length alternatives, these bodies allow you to modify shock length to optimise your vehicle's ride height, suspension travel, and roll characteristics. This level of adjustability is particularly valuable when transitioning between different terrain types or fine-tuning your rock crawler for competitive runs. The 11x38mm dimensions are precisely engineered to match the SCX10 III's original design parameters, ensuring that replacement or upgrade shocks fit perfectly within the suspension mounting points and respond predictably to terrain inputs. Whether you're upgrading worn original components or building a custom setup, these shock bodies maintain the engineering standards that have made Axial a trusted name in the RC crawler community. The hard-anodised finish resists corrosion and wear, extending the service life of your RC spare parts and reducing maintenance requirements over extended use.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Are these Axial shock bodies compatible with my SCX10 III model? — Yes, these threaded shock bodies are compatible with a comprehensive range of SCX10 III variants, including the 1987 Toyota SR5 4X4, Base Camp 4WD Builders Kit, Coyote 4X4, Jeep CJ-7, Jeep JT Gladiator with Portals, Early Ford Bronco 4WD, and the Pro-Line 1982 Chevy K10. If you own any standard SCX10 III model, these will integrate seamlessly with your existing suspension system.
- What is the advantage of threaded shock bodies over standard components? — Threaded shock bodies allow you to adjust the overall length of your shocks, giving you precise control over ride height and suspension geometry. This adjustability is essential for fine-tuning your RC crawler's performance across different terrain types and for achieving the perfect stance and handling characteristics for your driving style.
- Why choose aluminium shock bodies for my RC crawler? — Aluminium construction offers an ideal combination of lightweight design and structural durability. Hard-anodised aluminium resists corrosion and wear, making it perfect for RC vehicles that operate in dusty, muddy, or wet conditions. The reduced weight compared to steel alternatives helps maintain your RC car's overall balance and responsiveness.
- How do I install these shock bodies on my SCX10 III? — These components replace your existing shock bodies directly within the SCX10 III suspension mounts. Installation typically involves removing the old shocks and threading the new bodies into place with your existing internals. Refer to your SCX10 III manual for specific installation procedures and torque specifications.
- Are replacement shock bodies essential for my RC crawler? — Original shock bodies can wear over time, particularly if your RC car sees heavy use or demanding terrain. Upgrading or replacing with quality components like these Axial bodies helps maintain consistent suspension performance, improves handling predictability, and can extend the overall lifespan of your suspension system.
- What size shock bodies do I need for my SCX10 III? — The SCX10 III uses 11x38mm threaded shock bodies. These are the correct specification for all standard SCX10 III models, ensuring perfect fitment and optimal suspension performance. Always verify your model's specifications before ordering to guarantee compatibility.
