Overview

The Axial O-Ring 7.5x1.5mm (S8) Z-AXA1184 is an essential spare part for RC enthusiasts who run Axial shock systems. Whether you're a dedicated RC car UK hobbyist, a weekend basher, or someone who takes their off-road RC models seriously, these genuine replacement o-rings are a critical component to keep your suspension performing at its best. Shocks are among the most heavily used parts on any RC vehicle, and the rubber seals within them inevitably wear out over time, leading to performance degradation and potential fluid leakage.

This pack contains 10 genuine Axial o-rings, manufactured with high-quality rubber compounds specifically engineered to resist tearing and maintain their integrity through countless compression cycles. If you're running any Axial RC model—whether it's a crawler, buggy, truggy, or specialist platform—having a supply of replacement o-rings on hand ensures you can keep your shocks in peak condition without extended downtime. For the RC car enthusiast in the UK, maintaining your suspension seals is just as important as any other aspect of vehicle maintenance, and genuine Axial parts guarantee compatibility and performance.

These o-rings are designed to work specifically with Axial shock absorbers, and their precise dimensions ensure a perfect fit that maintains the hydraulic integrity of your shocks. Regular inspection and replacement of worn o-rings will extend the life of your shock cartridges and maintain consistent suspension performance across all driving conditions.

Key Features

  • Genuine Axial Manufacture — These o-rings are authentic Axial components, not aftermarket copies, ensuring they meet the exact specifications required for proper shock operation and reliability across all Axial RC platforms.
  • High-Quality Rubber Compound — The o-rings are manufactured using premium rubber materials specifically formulated to resist tearing and degradation, which is essential because shock seals experience constant compression and expansion during use.
  • Tear-Resistant Design — The material composition actively resists tearing under the demanding conditions of RC suspension use, which means your shocks will maintain their seal integrity for longer between service intervals.
  • Precision Dimensions — At 7.5x1.5mm, these o-rings are manufactured to exact specifications that ensure proper fit within Axial shock cartridges, preventing leaks and maintaining hydraulic performance.
  • Pack of 10 Units — This generous quantity means you have multiple replacement o-rings available, allowing you to service multiple shocks or maintain a spare supply for future maintenance without needing to reorder frequently.
  • Affordable Maintenance Solution — Replacing worn o-rings is significantly more cost-effective than replacing entire shock cartridges, making this an economical way to keep your suspension in working order.

Technical Performance

The Axial O-Ring 7.5x1.5mm (S8) is engineered to maintain the hydraulic seal integrity within Axial shock absorbers, which is critical for consistent suspension performance in RC vehicles. The 7.5mm outer diameter and 1.5mm cross-sectional thickness are precision specifications that ensure proper sealing without excessive drag or resistance. These dimensions are specifically designed for Axial's shock cartridge architecture, and using genuine Axial o-rings guarantees compatibility with all current and legacy Axial shock systems. The high-quality rubber compound used in manufacture provides excellent resistance to tearing, which is essential given the repeated compression cycles that suspension components endure during normal RC operation. Whether you're running these shocks on a rock crawler tackling technical terrain, a buggy on high-speed off-road courses, or any other Axial platform, the o-rings will maintain their sealing properties to prevent hydraulic fluid loss and ensure consistent damping characteristics. Regular o-ring replacement is a fundamental part of suspension maintenance for any serious RC car UK enthusiast, and having genuine Axial replacements on hand ensures you can keep your vehicle in optimal condition.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How often should I replace the o-rings in my Axial shocks? — O-ring replacement frequency depends on usage intensity and driving conditions. Regular inspection during shock maintenance is recommended, and replacement should occur whenever you notice signs of wear, degradation, or fluid leakage. For heavily used RC models or competitive use, more frequent replacement may be necessary.
  • Are these o-rings compatible with all Axial shock models? — These S8-specification o-rings are designed for Axial shock systems that use this size specification. Always verify your shock model's requirements before ordering to ensure proper fitment. If you're unsure, the S8 designation in the product name indicates which Axial systems use this size.
  • What happens if I don't replace worn o-rings? — Worn o-rings lose their sealing effectiveness, which leads to hydraulic fluid leakage from your shocks. This results in reduced damping performance, inconsistent suspension behaviour, and potential damage to internal shock components. Prompt replacement preserves both performance and longevity.
  • Can I use aftermarket o-rings instead of genuine Axial parts? — Whilst aftermarket alternatives may appear cheaper initially, genuine Axial o-rings are manufactured to exact specifications using materials proven to work with Axial shock designs. Using genuine parts ensures proper fitment, reliable sealing, and compatibility with your shock system's hydraulic characteristics.
  • How difficult is it to replace o-rings in my shocks? — O-ring replacement is a relatively straightforward maintenance task that most RC enthusiasts can perform with basic tools. You'll need to disassemble your shock cartridge, remove the old o-ring, and install the new one. Many RC car UK hobbyists handle this task themselves as part of regular suspension maintenance, though detailed shock service guides for your specific Axial model are recommended.
  • Why should I buy a pack of 10 when I might only need a few? — Having multiple o-rings on hand is practical for several reasons: you can service all four shocks on your vehicle in one session, you can maintain spares for future maintenance without reordering, and you'll have replacements immediately available if an o-ring becomes damaged during installation or use.
