Key Features

  • Hard Anodized Aluminium Construction — The 2mm aluminium material has been hard anodized to provide superior durability and corrosion resistance, which means the plates will withstand harsh outdoor conditions and aggressive bashng without degrading or losing their structural integrity over time.
  • Increased Suspension Stiffness — By upgrading to these aluminium lower link plates, you gain a noticeable improvement in rear suspension stiffness compared to standard plastic components, which translates to more responsive handling and better feedback through corners and over obstacles.
  • 4-Piece Set — This package includes four individual lower link plates, providing a complete solution for your rear 4 link suspension setup without requiring additional purchases or sourcing components from multiple suppliers.
  • OEM Axial Quality — As genuine Axial parts, these components are manufactured to the exact specifications required by Axial platforms, ensuring perfect fitment and compatibility without any modification or adjustment needed.
  • Direct Replacement Design — These plates are designed as direct replacements for the standard lower link plates on your Axial model, making installation straightforward for both beginners and experienced RC car UK hobbyists looking to upgrade their suspension geometry.

Technical Performance

The Axial Lower Link Plate Set represents the pinnacle of suspension upgrade engineering for 4 link rear suspension systems. Manufactured from 2mm hard anodized aluminium, these components provide a significant improvement in structural stiffness compared to standard plastic lower links, which directly impacts how your RC car handles under load and during aggressive driving. The hard anodizing process creates a protective oxide layer that resists corrosion, impacts and general wear, ensuring these plates maintain their dimensional accuracy and performance characteristics through extended use. For RC enthusiasts running Axial platforms, the suspension geometry is critical to performance, and upgrading to aluminium lower link plates is one of the most cost-effective ways to improve rear suspension response without requiring extensive modifications to your setup. The engineering benefits are immediately noticeable — sharper turn-in, improved mid-corner stability, and better overall predictability during high-speed manoeuvres. Whether you're participating in organized RC racing events, running challenging terrain courses, or simply pushing your RC car to its limits on the weekend, these plates contribute to a more professional-grade suspension system that responds precisely to your inputs and maintains consistent performance across varying conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Will these Axial lower link plates fit my specific RC model? — These plates are designed for Axial platform vehicles with 4 link rear suspension systems. As genuine OEM Axial parts, they provide direct fitment without modification. If you're unsure whether your model is compatible, please check your vehicle documentation or contact our expert team at RC Model Shop for confirmation.
  • What is the benefit of upgrading from plastic to aluminium lower links? — Aluminium lower link plates offer significantly increased stiffness compared to plastic components, which improves suspension response, handling precision, and overall durability. The hard anodized finish also provides superior corrosion and impact resistance, making these plates more durable in the long term.
  • Are these plates suitable for beginners? — Yes, these are an excellent upgrade option for RC car UK drivers of all skill levels. They install as direct replacements for standard lower links, requiring no special tools or advanced knowledge. Even newer hobbyists can upgrade their suspension with confidence using genuine Axial components.
  • How do hard anodized aluminium plates compare to standard plastic links in terms of durability? — Hard anodized aluminium is vastly superior in durability. The anodizing process creates a protective oxide layer that resists corrosion, impact damage, and wear. Plastic components are more prone to cracking under stress and degrading over time, especially when exposed to UV light and harsh outdoor conditions. Aluminium plates maintain their dimensional accuracy and performance characteristics through thousands of running hours.
  • What does hard anodized mean? — Hard anodizing is an electrochemical process that creates a thick, protective oxide layer on the surface of aluminium. This layer is significantly harder and more durable than standard anodizing, providing superior resistance to corrosion, abrasion, and chemical damage. For RC components that experience frequent impact and environmental exposure, hard anodizing is the preferred finishing method.
  • Will upgrading to these aluminium plates require setup changes? — These plates are designed as direct replacements, so they integrate seamlessly with your existing suspension setup without requiring geometry changes or additional adjustments. Simply install them in place of your standard lower links and enjoy improved suspension performance immediately.
