These components represent value for money spare parts that will extend the life of your RC crawler and maintain its performance characteristics on demanding terrain.
Key Features
- Anodised Aluminium Construction — The shock bodies are crafted from high-quality aluminium and treated with anodising, which creates a protective oxide layer that resists corrosion and wear, ensuring your RC vehicle maintains its appearance and functionality in wet British weather conditions whilst remaining lightweight compared to steel alternatives.
- 10x38mm Dimensions — These precisely sized shock bodies fit standard SCX10 II suspension systems without modification, ensuring compatibility with your existing shock internals and maintaining the geometry and performance characteristics of your RC crawler's suspension setup.
- Pair Supply — You receive two shock bodies in this package, which is exactly what you need for front or rear axle replacement on your 1/10 scale RC model, making it convenient to refresh both sides of your vehicle simultaneously.
- Professional Finish — The anodised surface treatment provides both aesthetic appeal and functional protection, giving your RC crawler a finished, professional appearance whilst protecting the aluminium from oxidation and damage during use.
- OEM Quality — As genuine Axial Racing components, these shock bodies meet the manufacturer's exacting specifications and engineering standards, ensuring they perform identically to factory parts and maintain your vehicle's suspension reliability.
- Direct Replacement — Compatible with multiple SCX10 II variants including the Blazer, F-100, Jeep Wrangler Unlimited CRC, Deadbolt, Jeep Cherokee, Trail Honcho, and UMG10 models, these are straightforward replacement components that require no modification or adaptation.
Technical Performance
The AXIAL Icon Anodized Aluminum Shock Body 10x38mm components represent precision engineering designed specifically for 1/10 scale rock crawling and adventure RC vehicles. The 10x38mm dimensions are engineered to work seamlessly with standard shock internals, maintaining suspension geometry and performance characteristics essential for traversing challenging terrain. Manufactured from aluminium and treated with an anodising process, these shock bodies provide an excellent strength-to-weight ratio compared to heavier materials, whilst the anodised finish offers superior corrosion resistance—a particularly important consideration for UK RC users who frequently contend with wet weather and damp conditions. The precision construction ensures these components integrate perfectly with your existing suspension linkages and shock absorbers, maintaining proper axle articulation and ride quality. Whether you're replacing worn components, experimenting with different shock configurations, or simply maintaining your RC crawler in peak condition, these shock bodies deliver the durability and performance expected from genuine Axial Racing spare parts. The anodised finish not only protects the aluminium from oxidation but also provides a professional appearance that enhances the overall aesthetic of your build.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Are these genuine Axial Racing shock bodies? — Yes, these are official AXIAL Icon branded components manufactured by Axial Racing with part number Z-AX30130 (AXIC3130 in some markets). They are OEM quality replacement parts engineered to the same specifications as factory components, ensuring perfect fit and reliable performance.
- Which RC models are these shock bodies compatible with? — These 10x38mm shock bodies are designed as replacement and optional parts for multiple 1/10 scale SCX10 II variants, including the '69 Chevrolet Blazer 4WD Rock Crawler, 1955 Ford F-100 4WD Truck, 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited CRC, SCX10 II 4WD Builders Kit (standard and V2 versions), Deadbolt 4x4, Jeep Cherokee 4WD Rock Crawler, and UMG10 4WD Rock Crawler models. Check your specific model's parts list to confirm compatibility before purchasing.
- What is the benefit of anodised aluminium over standard finishes? — Anodising creates a protective oxide layer on the aluminium surface that significantly improves corrosion resistance, making these shock bodies ideal for UK weather conditions including rain and damp environments. The anodised finish also provides a professional, premium appearance and resists scratching and wear better than bare aluminium whilst maintaining the lightweight properties essential for 1/10 scale RC crawlers.
- Do I need any tools to install these shock bodies? — Installation requires removal of your existing shock bodies from their linkages and mounting points, then installation of the new components. You'll need basic hand tools such as hex keys or screwdrivers depending on your specific model's fasteners. Consult your vehicle's assembly manual for detailed installation instructions specific to your model variant.
- Can these be used as upgrade parts on non-SCX10 II models? — These shock bodies are specifically engineered for 1/10 SCX10 II models with 10x38mm shock dimensions. Compatibility with other RC vehicles depends on having matching shock mount points and internal shock specifications. Always verify dimensions and mounting compatibility with your specific model before purchasing.
- What maintenance do anodised shock bodies require? — Anodised aluminium requires minimal maintenance. Simply rinse with fresh water after use in wet or muddy conditions and allow to air dry. The anodised finish protects the aluminium, but you should avoid abrasive cleaners that might compromise the protective layer. Regular inspection for damage ensures your suspension components maintain optimal performance.
