Overview

The ARRMA Ball Bearing 12x24x6mm 2RS (2) Z-ARA610048 is an essential replacement and upgrade component for RC enthusiasts across the UK who demand reliable performance from their RC cars and trucks. These precision ball bearings are engineered to provide smooth, consistent rotation and minimal friction, making them ideal for maintaining peak performance in your RC vehicle. Whether you're a dedicated basher pushing your RC monster truck or buggy to the limit, or a competitive racer fine-tuning your setup for maximum speed and efficiency, quality bearings are critical to your vehicle's longevity and performance.

ARRMA is recognised as a leading manufacturer of high-performance RC vehicles and components, and their bearing range reflects that commitment to quality and precision engineering. This two-pack of 12x24x6mm ball bearings with rubber seals (2RS designation) offers the durability and reliability that RC drivers expect when maintaining or upgrading their vehicles. The 2RS sealing specification means these bearings feature rubber shields on both sides, providing protection against dirt, dust and moisture—crucial for keeping your RC car running smoothly whether you're bashing in the garden, racing at a local track, or tackling challenging off-road terrain.

RC enthusiasts in the UK recognise that bearing quality directly impacts vehicle performance, handling and lifespan. The ARRMA Ball Bearing 12x24x6mm 2RS pack of two ensures you have quality replacement bearings on hand for maintenance, repairs or performance upgrades. With a strong customer rating of 4 out of 5 stars from verified buyers, these bearings have proven themselves as reliable components that deliver consistent performance across various ARRMA platforms and compatible RC applications.

Key Features

  • Dual rubber seals (2RS specification) — The 2RS designation indicates that these bearings feature rubber seals on both sides, which provide essential protection against contamination from dirt, dust, sand and moisture that can degrade bearing performance over time and cause premature wear.
  • Precise 12x24x6mm dimensions — These bearings are manufactured to exact specifications measuring 12mm inner diameter, 24mm outer diameter and 6mm width, ensuring perfect fitment into the correct bearing races and housings on compatible ARRMA RC vehicles and platforms.
  • Pack of two units — This pack contains two complete ball bearings, allowing you to replace a matching pair or maintain spares for future maintenance, ensuring your RC vehicle stays running smoothly without extended downtime.
  • High-quality ball bearing construction — Ball bearings are superior to bushings and plain bearings because they use rolling steel balls to reduce friction and provide smoother, faster and more efficient rotation, directly translating to improved performance and handling in your RC car or truck.
  • Smooth low-friction operation — Quality ball bearings minimise rotational resistance, which means less energy wasted on friction and more efficient power delivery from your motor, resulting in better acceleration, higher top speed potential and improved overall vehicle responsiveness.
  • Enhanced durability and longevity — The steel construction and precision engineering of these bearings means they resist wear far better than cheaper alternatives, extending the operational life of your RC vehicle and reducing the frequency of maintenance and replacement.
  • Verified customer satisfaction — With a 4 out of 5 star customer rating, these bearings have been tested and approved by real RC drivers across the UK, confirming their reliability and performance in genuine RC vehicles.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA Ball Bearing 12x24x6mm 2RS represents quality engineering built to the exacting standards expected in the RC hobby. These bearings are constructed with precision-ground steel balls housed in durable races, allowing them to support radial loads whilst rotating with minimal friction. The 2RS sealing system features dual rubber shields that sit on both inner and outer races, creating a protective barrier against environmental contamination whilst maintaining bearing performance. The 12x24x6mm specification (12mm bore, 24mm outside diameter, 6mm width) is a common size used across various ARRMA RC vehicles and compatible platforms. The dual-bearing pack ensures you have matched pairs for symmetrical load distribution and balanced performance. Whether you're upgrading your existing bearings or replacing worn components as part of routine maintenance on your RC buggy, monster truck or other ARRMA-compatible vehicle, these bearings deliver the smooth, reliable rotation that quality RC performance demands. The rubber seals make them suitable for general recreational use and light outdoor conditions, protecting bearing internals from the dust and moisture that would otherwise cause degradation and increase rotational drag.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What vehicles are these bearings compatible with? — These 12x24x6mm 2RS ball bearings are designed as ARRMA replacement parts and will fit ARRMA RC vehicles that use this bearing size specification. For specific vehicle compatibility, consult your RC car or truck's manual or contact an ARRMA specialist retailer.
  • What does 2RS mean on ball bearings? — The 2RS designation means these bearings feature rubber seals (shields) on both sides (hence the number 2). The RS stands for Rubber Seal. These seals provide protection against dust, dirt and moisture contamination, making them ideal for outdoor RC use.
  • Why should I upgrade or replace my RC vehicle's bearings? — Over time and with regular use, bearings wear and accumulate dirt and moisture inside their races. Worn bearings increase friction, reduce efficiency, create noise and slow your vehicle down. Replacing bearings with quality units like these ARRMA bearings restores smooth operation, improves performance and can significantly extend your RC vehicle's lifespan.
  • Are these bearings better than bushings? — Yes, ball bearings are superior to bushings because they use rolling steel balls to dramatically reduce friction compared to the sliding contact of bushings. This means smoother rotation, less drag, better acceleration, potentially higher top speed and more responsive handling in your RC car.
  • What is the difference between 2RS and open bearings? — Open bearings have no seals and allow dirt and moisture to enter freely, making them unsuitable for outdoor RC use. The 2RS rubber seals on these bearings provide essential protection whilst maintaining good performance, making them the correct choice for recreational RC use.
  • How do I know if my RC vehicle needs new bearings? — Signs of worn bearings include grinding or squeaking noises during rotation, rough or notchy movement when spinning wheels by hand, reduced top speed, sluggish acceleration or poor handling. If you notice any of these symptoms, it's time to replace your bearings.
  • Are these genuine ARRMA parts? — Yes, these are authentic ARRMA brand bearings manufactured to ARRMA's quality standards and specifications. Always purchase from authorised retailers like RC Model Shop to ensure you receive genuine parts.
