Overview

The ARRMA Ball Bearing 5x8x2.5mm 2RS (2) Z-ARA610043 is an essential replacement bearing set for RC enthusiasts who demand premium performance and reliability from their ARRMA vehicles. Whether you're a dedicated RC car UK hobbyist, weekend basher, or someone who enjoys pushing their RC model to the limit, maintaining your vehicle with genuine ARRMA spare parts is crucial for optimal performance. These high-quality rubber shielded ball bearings are precision-engineered to deliver ultra-smooth operation in all conditions, making them the ideal choice when your existing bearings require servicing or replacement.

Ball bearings are the heart of any RC vehicle's drivetrain, suspension and steering systems. Over time, bearings wear from constant rotation, dirt ingress and moisture exposure, which can lead to sluggish handling, increased friction and reduced speed. This genuine ARRMA bearing pack provides an affordable, straightforward solution to restore your RC model to like-new condition. The package includes two premium ball bearings, allowing you to service multiple components in a single purchase, whether you're working on your ARRMA buggy, monster truck, truggy or any other ARRMA model that uses these popular dimensions.

For RC enthusiasts across the UK looking for authentic OEM parts backed by manufacturer quality standards, ARRMA ball bearings represent excellent value and proven performance. These bearings are manufactured to exacting specifications ensuring they integrate seamlessly with your existing ARRMA vehicle components and deliver the consistent, reliable operation you expect from premium RC equipment.

Key Features

  • Premium Ball-Raced Construction — These bearings feature precision ball-raced design that enables ultra-smooth rotation in all operating conditions, whether you're racing on pavement, carpet, dirt or grass tracks. Smooth bearings directly translate to better handling, reduced power loss and faster acceleration in your RC vehicle.
  • High-Quality Rubber Shields — The 2RS (two rubber seals) design incorporates protective rubber shields on both sides of each bearing, creating a robust defence against dirt, water, dust and other environmental contaminants that would otherwise damage internal bearing components. This enhanced protection means more time enjoying your RC hobby and less time performing maintenance.
  • Precision Manufacturing — Every bearing is manufactured to consistent tolerances, ensuring fast and easy installation without the need for special tools or modifications. This precision manufacturing guarantees safe and secure assembly into your RC model, preventing wobbling, misalignment or premature wear.
  • Lubrication Retention — The sealed design keeps internal lubricant locked inside the bearing throughout extended use, maintaining optimal performance across numerous bashing sessions. Better lubrication retention means longer bearing life and consistent performance over time.
  • Genuine ARRMA Component — These are authentic ARRMA spare parts manufactured to the same exacting quality standards as your vehicle. Using genuine components ensures compatibility, reliability and the performance levels ARRMA vehicles are engineered to deliver.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA Ball Bearing 5x8x2.5mm 2RS (2) Z-ARA610043 represents a significant engineering achievement in compact bearing design. With an inside diameter of 5mm, outside diameter of 8mm and thickness of 2.5mm, these bearings are optimised for the specific suspension, steering and drivetrain applications found across the ARRMA range of RC vehicles. The ultra-precise manufacturing tolerances ensure that each bearing rotates with minimal resistance, reducing power consumption from your ESC and extending battery runtime during extended bashing sessions. The rubber shields provide superior sealing compared to open bearings, protecting against moisture penetration which is particularly important if you enjoy water-based RC tracks or unpredictable UK weather conditions. The ball-raced internal construction distributes load evenly across multiple contact points, ensuring durability even under the sustained stress of high-speed racing, jumping and aggressive driving. These bearings are engineered to perform reliably whether installed in the front or rear of your RC model, making them versatile components suitable for almost any ARRMA vehicle configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a 2RS bearing and why does it matter for my RC car? — The 2RS designation indicates that this bearing features rubber seals on both sides (2RS = Two Rubber Seals). These protective seals create a barrier against dirt, water and dust while keeping lubrication inside the bearing. For RC cars used in outdoor environments or muddy tracks, 2RS bearings are significantly better than open bearings because they require less frequent cleaning and maintenance, and they maintain consistent performance for longer periods between services.
  • Will these bearings fit my ARRMA vehicle? — The 5x8x2.5mm size is used across many ARRMA RC models including buggies, trucks and truggies. However, we recommend checking your specific ARRMA model's documentation or contacting our team to confirm these bearings are the correct replacement for your particular vehicle. Different ARRMA models may use different bearing sizes, so verification before purchase ensures you receive the right parts.
  • How often should I replace my RC bearings? — Bearing lifespan depends heavily on usage, driving conditions and maintenance habits. Regular inspection during routine cleaning can help identify when bearings are becoming stiff, noisy or developing grinding sounds, which are signs of wear. For casual weekend bashers, bearings might last several months of regular use. For competitive racers or those running frequently in wet or muddy conditions, more frequent replacement or servicing may be necessary. Installing fresh bearings restores smooth operation and helps maintain optimal vehicle performance.
  • Can I use these bearings as preventative maintenance? — Absolutely. Many experienced RC enthusiasts perform regular bearing replacement as preventative maintenance, particularly before important races or events. Fresh bearings ensure maximum speed potential, best handling characteristics and reliable operation when it matters most. Preventative bearing replacement is a cost-effective way to maintain peak vehicle performance throughout the season.
  • What tools do I need to install these bearings? — The precision manufacturing means these bearings should install easily into properly designed bearing cups or blocks without requiring special tools. Most ARRMA vehicles use simple bearing retainers that secure the bearing in place with a clip or screw. Always consult your vehicle's assembly manual for specific installation guidance relevant to your particular model.
