Pre-filled with high-quality 2000cSt shock oil and supplied completely assembled, this shock absorber set is ready to bolt on to your vehicle once you've fitted your choice of spring. The 70mm center-to-center length and 11mm bore diameter make this a precision component engineered to handle the demands of modern RC racing and bashing. These shocks feature 2-hole pistons with 1.3mm diameter holes, which are critical for controlling suspension damping and ensuring smooth, predictable handling across various terrain types. The threaded shock collars provide fine-tuning capability for vehicle ride height adjustment, allowing you to dial in the perfect setup for your driving style and track conditions.

Available through RC Model Shop, this genuine ARRMA component comes from an authorised UK dealer committed to supplying authentic spare parts and accessories. Whether you need replacement shocks due to wear and tear, or you're building a fresh suspension setup from scratch, this shock set represents a straightforward, dependable solution for your RC suspension needs.

Key Features

  • High-Quality Materials — Constructed using premium materials, these shock absorbers are engineered to withstand the rigorous demands of both competitive RC racing and aggressive off-road bashing, ensuring longevity and consistent performance.
  • Pre-Filled with 2000cSt Shock Oil — The shocks come pre-filled with 2000cSt damping oil, providing balanced suspension response and predictable handling characteristics that suit a wide range of driving conditions and vehicle setups.
  • Supplied Assembled Without Springs — These shocks arrive fully assembled and ready for installation, eliminating the need for complex assembly work, though you will need to source compatible springs separately for complete installation.
  • 70mm Center-to-Center Length — The 70mm length specification makes these shocks compatible with specific ARRMA models, ensuring proper fit, suspension geometry, and ride height for your vehicle.
  • 11mm Bore Diameter — The 11mm bore is a standard specification that determines compatibility across ARRMA's suspension lineup and contributes to the overall damping characteristics of the shock.
  • 2-Hole Pistons with 1.3mm Diameter Holes — The precision piston design with dual 1.3mm holes allows for sophisticated damping tuning, giving you the ability to adjust suspension response to match your driving style and track conditions.
  • Threaded Shock Collars for Ride Height Adjustment — These allow you to fine-tune your vehicle's ride height quickly and precisely, an essential feature for optimising handling and ensuring your RC vehicle sits at the correct geometry for maximum performance.
  • Ready to Bolt On — Once fitted with your choice of compatible springs, these shocks are immediately ready for installation on your vehicle, minimising downtime between maintenance and getting back to racing or bashing.
  • Set of Two Shock Absorbers — The package includes two complete assembled shock units, providing a matched pair for consistent suspension performance across your vehicle.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA Shock Set delivers precision engineering that meets the exacting standards demanded by RC enthusiasts across the United Kingdom. The 11mm bore diameter is a proven specification in the RC racing community, offering the optimal balance between piston speed, damping force, and overall responsiveness. Pre-filled with 2000cSt shock oil, these units provide a medium damping level suitable for a broad spectrum of driving conditions, from smooth carpet surfaces to rough outdoor terrain. The critical 1.3mm piston holes allow oil to flow through the piston at a controlled rate, dissipating energy and preventing harsh impacts whilst maintaining responsive suspension action. The 70mm center-to-centre length positions this shock set within ARRMA's suspension architecture, maintaining correct ride height and suspension geometry crucial for predictable handling and cornering performance. Constructed from high-quality materials, these shocks are engineered to endure repeated compression and extension cycles without degradation, whether you're competing in formal RC racing events or enjoying casual weekend bashing. The threaded shock collars enable micro-adjustments to ride height, a feature that separates casual RC equipment from serious racing components. This is a fully assembled solution, requiring only spring selection to complete your suspension upgrade, making it an efficient choice for busy RC enthusiasts who want premium performance without investing significant assembly time.

What You Need to Complete

  • Shock Springs: Either ARA330771 (49mm, 1.65N/mm / 9.42lb/in) or ARA330772 (49mm, 1.85N/mm / 10.56lb/in) — these must be sourced separately to complete your shock assembly

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What springs do I need for the ARRMA 11mm shock set with 70mm length? — You need to purchase compatible springs separately. ARRMA offers two options: the ARA330771 springs rated at 49mm length with 1.65N/mm spring rate (9.42lb/in), or the ARA330772 springs at 49mm length with 1.85N/mm spring rate (10.56lb/in). The choice between these depends on your vehicle's weight, driving style, and the suspension geometry you're targeting.
  • Is this shock set suitable for my ARRMA RC vehicle? — This shock set fits specific ARRMA models including the INFRACTION 3S and 4X4 ranges, as well as the VENDETTA 3S. The 70mm length and 11mm bore are designed for these vehicles. Check your vehicle's manual or the ARRMA parts compatibility guide to confirm fitment before purchasing.
  • Can these shocks be used straight out of the box? — These shocks arrive fully assembled and pre-filled with 2000cSt oil, but you cannot use them immediately. You must first fit your chosen springs (either the softer ARA330771 or stiffer ARA330772) before installation on your vehicle. Once springs are fitted, they are ready to bolt on.
  • What is the difference between the 2000cSt oil in these shocks and other viscosity ratings? — The cSt (centistoke) rating indicates oil viscosity and damping resistance. The 2000cSt provides a medium damping level suitable for general RC use across various terrains. Higher viscosity oils (like 700cSt or higher) provide more damping resistance, whilst lower viscosity oils allow faster suspension response. The 2000cSt specification makes these shocks versatile for both racing and recreational bashing.
  • Are these genuine ARRMA parts? — Yes, these are official ARRMA components. When purchased from RC Model Shop, an authorised UK dealer, you receive genuine ARRMA parts with full compatibility assurance and support from experienced RC enthusiasts.
  • How many shock absorbers are included in this set? — This set includes 2 assembled shock absorbers, providing a matched pair for consistent suspension performance. This covers the front or rear axle depending on your vehicle configuration.
  • What makes the 1.3mm piston holes important? — The piston holes control how quickly oil can flow through the piston during compression and extension. The 1.3mm diameter specification determines the damping rate, directly affecting how your vehicle's suspension responds to bumps, jumps, and cornering forces. These precise dimensions are critical for tuning suspension performance.
