Overview

If you're serious about fine-tuning your ARRMA RC car's handling and suspension setup, these genuine ARRMA Shock Springs are an essential upgrade for any RC enthusiast in the UK. Whether you're running an ARRMA Infraction, Limitless, Felony or other compatible model, having the right spring rates available means you can adapt your vehicle to different terrain conditions and driving styles in seconds. These high-quality shock springs represent genuine manufacturer parts engineered to the exact specifications your RC car demands, ensuring consistent performance whether you're bashing on the weekend or competing at the track.

Suspension tuning is one of the most effective ways to transform how your ready-to-run RC car handles, and these precision-manufactured springs give you that flexibility. Rather than being stuck with a single setup, you can quickly swap springs to suit loose dirt, firm tarmac, carpet, or any other surface. For bashers, racers, and casual RC enthusiasts across the UK, having multiple spring options in your spares box is a smart investment that extends the performance envelope of your vehicle.

These ARRMA shock springs are built to the same exacting standards as the factory components fitted to genuine ARRMA RC cars and trucks. Precision engineering means every spring delivers consistent performance lap after lap, bash after bash, without degradation or unpredictable behaviour. When you're tuning suspension geometry on your brushless RC monster truck or stadium truck, the last thing you need is springs that don't perform reliably—these do, every single time.

Key Features

  • Precision Manufactured Spring Steel — Each spring is engineered from high-quality spring steel using precision manufacturing processes, ensuring every coil is wound to exact tolerances and delivers consistent compression and extension characteristics without variation between the two springs in the pack.
  • 40mm Length Design — These springs are specifically sized at 40mm to fit ARRMA's shock absorber units on compatible models, providing the correct mounting height and stroke length for optimal suspension travel and articulation.
  • 6.6N/mm Spring Rate (38lb/in) — This medium spring rate offers a balanced setup suitable for a wide range of driving conditions and terrain types, making these an excellent all-round choice for both competitive racing and weekend bashing without requiring frequent spring changes.
  • Pack of Two Springs — You receive two springs in each pack, allowing you to refresh both front or both rear shock units, or keep one as a spare while the other is in service on your vehicle.
  • Long-Lasting Durability — The quality of the spring steel and manufacturing process means these springs resist fatigue and maintain their performance characteristics over extended use, providing excellent value and reliability compared to budget alternative springs.
  • Quick Suspension Tuning — Swapping shock springs on your RC car is one of the fastest and most affordable ways to adjust your vehicle's handling, allowing you to adapt to different terrain, weather conditions, and driving preferences without expensive upgrades or modifications.

Technical Performance

These ARRMA shock springs represent genuine factory engineering optimised for suspension performance across ARRMA's range of 1/7-scale 4WD vehicles including the Infraction 6S, Limitless 6S, Limitless 8S AVC, and Felony models. The 40mm length is engineered to work with ARRMA's double-wishbone independent suspension geometry, providing the correct amount of suspension travel and ensuring consistent anti-roll characteristics. The 6.6N/mm spring rate (38lb/in in imperial measurement) represents a medium stiffness suitable for general-purpose RC car use, offering a balanced approach between compliance over bumps and body roll control during cornering. The precision-manufactured spring steel ensures that both springs in the pack deliver identical performance characteristics, which is critical for suspension tuning—mismatched springs front to rear or left to right will cause the vehicle to pull to one side or corner unevenly. Quality shock springs maintain their rate consistency over extended use, whereas budget alternatives can lose stiffness over time as the material fatigues, making genuine ARRMA springs a better long-term investment for serious RC enthusiasts.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which ARRMA RC cars are these shock springs compatible with? — These 40mm shock springs are designed as standard parts for the ARRMA Infraction 6S BLX, ARRMA Limitless 8S AVC RTR BLX, and other compatible 1/7-scale ARRMA 4WD models. They fit the double-wishbone independent suspension found on these vehicles and are available either as standard factory parts or as optional tuning components. Always check your vehicle's manual or the manufacturer's website to confirm fitment before purchase.
  • What does the spring rate 6.6N/mm mean and how does it affect my RC car? — The spring rate measures how stiff the spring is—6.6N/mm means the spring compresses 1 millimetre for every 6.6 Newtons of force applied to it. A stiffer spring (higher N/mm rating) reduces suspension movement and body roll during aggressive cornering, making the car feel more planted and responsive but potentially harsher over bumps. A softer spring (lower N/mm rating) allows more suspension travel for better bump absorption but may cause more body roll. The 6.6N/mm rate provides a balanced middle ground suitable for most driving conditions and terrain types.
  • How often should I replace my shock springs? — Quality shock springs like these ARRMA components maintain their rate consistency for extended periods under normal use. Springs may need replacement if they become visibly damaged, bent, or if you notice the suspension feeling softer than before, which would indicate the spring has lost its stiffness through fatigue. For heavy bashers or frequent racers, checking springs during regular maintenance intervals is good practice, though they typically outlast shock fluid and bearing components.
  • What is the difference between 6.6N/mm and other spring rates available? — ARRMA manufactures shock springs in multiple rates to suit different driving styles and conditions. Lower rates like those referenced as alternatives provide softer suspension for rough terrain and maximum bump absorption, whilst higher rates offer stiffer setup for smoother tracks and reduced body roll. The 6.6N/mm rate sits in the middle of the range, making it ideal as an all-round option for bashers and casual racers who prefer not to swap springs frequently.
  • Can I use these springs on other RC brands? — These springs are specifically engineered for ARRMA shock units with 40mm length and the fitting system used on ARRMA 1/7-scale models. Whilst the spring steel itself is universal, the end fittings and overall dimensions are ARRMA-specific, so they will not fit other manufacturers' shocks without modification. Always use genuine ARRMA shock springs designed for your specific vehicle model.
  • Are these shock springs suitable for beginners? — Yes, these springs are an excellent choice for RC enthusiasts at any skill level. Beginners benefit from the balanced 6.6N/mm rate which provides good handling across varied terrain without requiring frequent tuning, whilst more experienced drivers appreciate having them available as a tuning option. If you own a compatible ARRMA model, these springs are a sensible spare component to have in your maintenance kit.
