Overview

The ARRMA Dogbone, 168mm (Z-ARA310942) is an essential replacement drivetrain component for serious RC enthusiasts running ARRMA's high-performance models. Whether you're maintaining your RC car UK collection or need a spare part for competitive racing, this precision-engineered dogbone drive shaft is built to withstand the demands of high-speed driving and aggressive terrain. The 168mm length is specifically designed to fit ARRMA's top-tier brushless RC models, including the flagship Limitless 8S and Infraction 6S platforms, making it an indispensable part for anyone serious about their RC hobby.

This is not a complete vehicle—it's a dedicated spare part engineered for drivers who already own compatible ARRMA models and understand the importance of quality replacement components. As an authorised ARRMA distributor, RC Model Shop stocks genuine parts that meet the original manufacturer specifications, ensuring your RC car UK remains in peak condition. The dogbone is a critical component of the drivetrain that connects the differential output shafts to the axle shafts, transferring power from your brushless motor to the wheels. When your current dogbone shows signs of wear, damage, or has failed from hard bashing, this replacement will restore your vehicle's performance instantly.

Built for drivers who demand durability and reliability, the ARRMA Dogbone represents the engineering excellence that has made ARRMA a trusted name in the RC hobby worldwide. It's the kind of spare part you'll want to keep in your pit box for weekend racing or casual bashing sessions, ensuring you're never sidelined by a damaged drivetrain component.

Key Features

  • Strong Steel Construction — Manufactured from premium steel material, this dogbone delivers long-lasting durability across all driving conditions, from smooth tarmac tracks to rough outdoor terrain, ensuring your drivetrain can handle both casual bashing and competitive racing demands.
  • Precision-Manufactured Drive Pins — The dogbone features precision-engineered drive pins that guarantee a safe and secure fit with your vehicle's differential outdrives, eliminating the risk of slippage or disconnection during high-speed driving or aggressive cornering.
  • 168mm Length Specification — This exact length is calibrated for optimal performance on ARRMA's most powerful brushless RC models, including the 8S-capable Limitless and the 6S Infraction, ensuring perfect geometry and suspension alignment.
  • OEM Quality Replacement Part — As an official ARRMA spare part, this dogbone meets the same rigorous manufacturing standards as the component included in new vehicle kits, guaranteeing compatibility and performance parity with original equipment.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA Dogbone, 168mm is engineered to handle the extreme forces generated by brushless electric motors in high-performance RC cars. The steel construction provides superior strength compared to aluminium alternatives, making it ideal for the power outputs of the ARRMA Limitless 8S AVC, which represents the pinnacle of brushless RC truck engineering. The 168mm length is specifically optimized for the suspension geometry and wheelbase of ARRMA's larger-scale platform vehicles, ensuring that drivetrain angles remain within the correct operating envelope for smooth power delivery and extended component lifespan. The precision-manufactured drive pins integrate seamlessly with differential outdrives, creating a rigid connection that minimizes backlash and ensures instantaneous power transfer from motor to wheels. This component is built to withstand the repeated impacts, acceleration loads, and torque spikes inherent to off-road RC bashing and racing. Whether you're running on 6S LiPo power (delivering approximately 22.2V nominal) or the extreme 8S configuration (29.6V nominal), the dogbone's steel construction provides the mechanical reliability needed to handle these energy levels without deflection or failure.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What ARRMA RC models is this dogbone compatible with? — The ARRMA Dogbone, 168mm (Z-ARA310942) is compatible with the following brushless RC vehicles: ARRMA Felony 6S BLX (Orange and Black variants), ARRMA Infraction 6S BLX (Silver and Blue variants), and ARRMA 1/7 Limitless 8S AVC 4x4 RTR BLX in both Street Speed White/Blue and Red/Black colour options. This makes it an essential spare part if you own any of these high-performance ARRMA models.
  • Is this a complete spare part or do I need other components? — The dogbone is a standalone drivetrain component and complete in itself—it is ready to install as soon as you receive it. No additional parts are required to fit this replacement, though you will need basic RC maintenance tools such as a hex wrench set to perform the installation on your vehicle.
  • Why would I need a replacement dogbone? — The dogbone is a wear item in any RC drivetrain, particularly if you regularly bash your RC car or compete in racing events. Signs that you need replacement include visible bending, cracks in the steel, wear on the drive pins, or loss of power transfer to the wheels. Having a spare ensures you can get back on the track or trail quickly without waiting for parts to arrive.
  • What makes this better than aftermarket alternatives? — As an official ARRMA spare part manufactured to OEM specifications, this dogbone guarantees perfect fitment with your vehicle's differential and suspension geometry. It has been engineered and tested by ARRMA's engineering team to deliver optimal performance with the extreme power outputs of their brushless systems, particularly the 8S Limitless platform.
  • Can I use this on other RC brands? — No, this dogbone is specifically engineered for ARRMA models listed in the compatibility section. The dimensions, drive pin configuration, and length are optimized for ARRMA's proprietary drivetrain design and will not fit other manufacturers' vehicles.
