The pack contains four individual screws, making this a practical spare parts purchase for both beginners discovering the world of RC for the first time and experienced RC competitors who understand the importance of having quality spare components on hand.

Key Features
- M4 Size Thread — With an M4 thread size, these screws are precisely engineered to fit ARRMA vehicles and components that are specified for this size fastener, ensuring perfect compatibility and reliable fitment without the frustration of stripped threads or poor engagement.
- 40mm Length — The 40mm length provides the ideal reach for a wide range of fastening applications on ARRMA vehicles, from assembly work to component replacement and general maintenance tasks that RC enthusiasts regularly perform.
- Countersunk Flat Head Design — The flat head (countersunk) design allows these screws to sit flush with the surface once installed, creating a smooth, professional finish on your RC vehicle and preventing snags or damage to other components during rough terrain driving.
- Hex Socket Driver — The hex socket head design means you can use a standard hex key (Allen key) for installation and removal, providing excellent control and torque application without the risk of stripping the screw head like you might experience with Phillips or slotted drives.
- Steel Construction — Made from hardened steel, these screws deliver exceptional strength and durability to withstand the stresses and vibrations that are inherent in demanding RC applications, whether you are racing, bashing, or performing routine maintenance.
- Black Finish — The black colour provides a professional appearance on your ARRMA vehicle whilst offering corrosion resistance, helping to maintain the aesthetic appeal of your RC car over extended periods of use and storage.
- Machine Thread Specification — These are machine threads (as opposed to self-tapping screws), which means they are designed to work with pre-drilled holes and threaded inserts, providing consistent, reliable performance across multiple assembly and disassembly cycles.
- Pack of Four — With four screws included in each pack, you have enough fasteners for a single major service or assembly task, making this an excellent addition to your RC spare parts inventory for when you need replacements.
Technical Performance
These ARRMA flat head hex machine screws represent precision engineering at its finest, manufactured to the exacting tolerances that ARRMA is known for throughout the UK RC market. Constructed from hardened steel in a sleek black finish, they deliver the strength necessary for holding critical components in place under the extreme stresses of RC driving. The M4 thread size is a popular specification across the ARRMA range, particularly for larger-scale vehicles and high-performance builds where robust fastening is essential. The 40mm length strikes an ideal balance, offering sufficient reach for a variety of fastening applications without being so long that it becomes unwieldy or interferes with other components. The hex socket head design provides excellent torque control during installation, allowing you to achieve the correct tightness without over-tightening, which could strip threads or crack components. As machine threads, these screws require properly prepared holes with appropriate threading or threaded inserts, ensuring professional results and eliminating the frustration of cross-threading or loose fits. Whether you are servicing a brushless RC monster truck, maintaining a competition RC vehicle, or simply replacing worn fasteners on your favourite RC car, these screws deliver the reliability that serious hobbyists demand.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What ARRMA vehicles are these screws compatible with? — These M4 x 40mm flat head hex machine screws are confirmed compatible with the ARRMA 1/10 QUAKE 223S DSC 2WD RTR Brushless Monster Truck range (available in green, red, and purple colour options). They are also suitable for other ARRMA vehicles that specify M4 x 40mm fasteners in their assembly or maintenance manuals. We recommend checking your specific vehicle's documentation or contacting our team for compatibility confirmation.
- Are these suitable for beginners working on RC cars? — Yes, absolutely. These screws are ideal for beginners learning to perform basic maintenance and repairs on their ARRMA RC vehicles. The hex socket head design is particularly beginner-friendly, as hex keys (Allen keys) provide better control than Phillips or slot drives, reducing the risk of stripping the screw head. Many beginner-level maintenance tasks, such as replacing worn components or reassembling parts after cleaning, will benefit from having spare fasteners on hand.
- Can I use these screws for custom modifications or upgrades? — Yes, these M4 x 40mm screws can be used for a variety of modification and upgrade projects on ARRMA vehicles or compatible RC applications. However, it is important to ensure that your custom application requires fasteners of this exact size and specification. Always verify hole sizing and thread requirements before installation to avoid cross-threading or loose fits.
- What is the difference between these hex machine screws and other types of RC fasteners? — These screws feature several distinguishing characteristics. The countersunk flat head design sits flush with surfaces, creating a smooth finish unlike raised-head designs. The hex socket (Allen key) drive provides superior control compared to Phillips or slot drives. They are machine threads (not self-tapping), meaning they require pre-tapped holes or threaded inserts, which ensures greater reliability and allows for repeated assembly and disassembly without degradation. The hardened steel construction offers excellent strength for demanding RC applications. Together, these features make them ideal for quality repairs and maintenance on precision RC vehicles.
- How many screws do I need for a typical repair or assembly? — This depends entirely on your specific repair or assembly task. With four screws provided in this pack, you will have sufficient fasteners for most single-component replacements or assembly jobs on ARRMA vehicles. For more extensive work or if you frequently perform repairs, you may wish to purchase multiple packs to build up a comprehensive spare parts inventory.
- Are these original ARRMA parts? — Yes, these are genuine ARRMA parts sourced directly from ARRMA, ensuring authentic quality and compatibility. As an authorised ARRMA dealer, RC Model Shop stocks only genuine components, giving you confidence that you are purchasing authentic products that will perform reliably on your RC vehicle.
