Overview

The ARRMA Ball Bearing 6x11x4mm (2) Z-AR610020 is an essential replacement bearing pair designed specifically for ARRMA RC vehicles and compatible models. These precision ball bearings are critical components in any RC car, truck, or buggy setup, helping to ensure smooth rotation of wheels, axles, and drivetrain elements. Whether you're a seasoned RC enthusiast running competitive race kits or a weekend basher enjoying high-speed off-road adventures, quality bearings are fundamental to maintaining peak performance and reliability from your radio controlled car.

Bearings are one of the most frequently replaced wear items in RC cars, particularly when you're pushing your vehicle to its limits or maintaining it after months of intense use. As friction and load bearing surfaces gradually wear down, replacing bearings with genuine ARRMA components ensures you maintain the exact tolerances and performance characteristics your RC car was engineered for. This genuine ARRMA bearing pair comes as a matched set of two units, making it convenient for users who need to refresh multiple bearing points simultaneously or stock up on spares for their RC collection.

Available from RC Model Shop, your trusted UK RC retailer stocking authentic ARRMA spares and upgrades, the Z-AR610020 represents excellent value for anyone serious about keeping their RC car in peak condition. Whether you're repairing a worn-out drivetrain, upgrading bearing quality for smoother performance, or simply maintaining your vehicle after a season of competitive racing or casual bashing, this bearing pair offers the genuine quality and precision fit you need.

Key Features

  • Genuine ARRMA Component — These are original manufacturer bearings engineered and tested to ARRMA specifications, ensuring perfect compatibility and performance with your ARRMA RC vehicle. Using genuine parts maintains warranty coverage and guarantees the tolerances your car was designed for.
  • Pair of Two Units — The Z-AR610020 contains two bearings, making it ideal for replacing bearing sets on axles, wheel hubs, or transmission components that typically require pairs of matching units for balanced rotation and smooth operation.
  • Standard 6x11x4mm Size — This commonly used bearing size fits numerous ARRMA vehicles and compatible RC cars, making it one of the most frequently needed replacement items in any serious RC enthusiast's spare parts collection.
  • Precision Ball Bearing Design — Ball bearings provide smooth, low-friction rotation essential for maximising speed, efficiency, and responsiveness in RC cars. The precision construction minimises vibration and wear across critical drive components.
  • Reduces Friction and Drag — Fresh bearings significantly reduce rotational resistance compared to worn units, directly translating to improved acceleration, higher top speeds, and better overall vehicle responsiveness during racing or casual driving.
  • Extended Component Lifespan — By replacing worn bearings promptly, you protect other drivetrain components from excessive stress and premature wear, potentially extending the life of gears, shafts, and other connected parts.

Technical Performance

Ball bearings form the foundation of smooth operation in all RC cars, trucks, and buggies. The 6x11x4mm size covered by this Z-AR610020 pair represents a standard specification found across multiple vehicle types and drive configurations. These sealed or shielded ball bearings maintain precise internal tolerances that allow wheels and drivetrain elements to rotate with minimal friction, which is absolutely critical for competitive RC racing performance where every millisecond and every fraction of efficiency matters. The engineering quality of ARRMA bearings ensures consistent performance characteristics across the entire production run, meaning you get reliable, predictable behaviour whether you're running a high-speed circuit racer, an off-road buggy, a monster truck, or any other RC vehicle platform. The bearing's ability to manage radial and axial loads whilst maintaining smooth rotation under both high-speed and high-torque conditions makes these components essential for any serious RC enthusiast. Regular bearing replacement as part of planned maintenance prevents the performance degradation, increased vibration, and component stress that comes with worn bearings, ultimately saving money by preventing catastrophic drivetrain failures.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • When should I replace ball bearings on my RC car? — Ball bearings should be replaced when you notice increased friction, grinding sounds, or reduced performance from your RC vehicle. High-use vehicles, particularly those used in competitive racing or frequent bashing sessions, may require bearing replacement every few months. If your RC car has been sitting unused for an extended period, replacing bearings as part of a recommissioning routine ensures optimal performance. Bearing replacement is one of the most cost-effective maintenance items you can do to restore sluggish performance to like-new condition.
  • Are these bearings compatible with non-ARRMA vehicles? — The 6x11x4mm size is a standard bearing specification used across many different RC brands and models. Whilst these are genuine ARRMA bearings engineered to ARRMA standards, the physical dimensions mean they may be compatible with other RC cars that use the same bearing size. Always verify your specific vehicle's bearing requirements before ordering to ensure proper fit and function.
  • What's the difference between sealed and shielded bearings? — Sealed bearings offer greater protection against dirt, water, and contamination, making them ideal for outdoor and water-crossing RC vehicles. Shielded bearings provide good protection whilst allowing slightly better cooling and are typically lighter. Both types reduce friction compared to unsealed bearings, and both represent significant performance improvements over worn bearings regardless of the protection type.
  • How many bearing pairs will I need? — Most RC cars use multiple bearings throughout the drivetrain and suspension system. A single pair (Z-AR610020 contains 2 bearings) typically covers one axle location or transmission component. You may need multiple packs depending on which components you're servicing. It's always wise to stock spare bearing pairs for emergency replacements during competition or weekend bashing sessions.
  • Will new bearings improve my RC car's speed? — Yes, fresh bearings can noticeably improve acceleration and top speed by reducing friction and rotational drag. If your RC car feels sluggish or slower than it used to be, bearing wear is often a significant contributing factor. Replacing worn bearings with genuine ARRMA units can restore your vehicle's performance closer to like-new condition, making a measurable difference in handling and responsiveness.
