Overview

The RPM Rear A-Arms for ARRMA Outcast, Talion and Kraton represent a significant upgrade over stock suspension components for your RC car in the UK market. Designed with the ultimate in strength and durability, these blue rear A-arms deliver measurable performance improvements whether you're bashing at the weekend or pushing your RC vehicle through challenging terrain. If you're running an ARRMA Outcast, Talion or Kraton and want to enhance your suspension response, lower your ride height and reduce the weight of your drivetrain, these RPM A-arms are exactly what you need.

RPM has engineered these suspension arms to address real-world problems that RC enthusiasts face with stock components. The innovative design combines reduced weight, improved precision and enhanced durability into one package. Whether you're a dedicated RC hobbyist or a competitive driver looking for that extra edge, upgrading to RPM rear A-arms is a smart investment that will transform how your ARRMA performs on track and off-road. The fact that these arms also fit the Durango DEX8T platform demonstrates RPM's commitment to cross-platform compatibility and value for the broader RC community in the UK and beyond.

Key Features

  • Slop elimination and improved suspension response — RPM Rear A-arms reduce the amount of movement at the hinge pins compared to stock ARRMA components, providing better suspension response and more consistent suspension settings that make your RC car behave more predictably during aggressive driving.
  • Dual shock mount configuration — The addition of a second shock mount hole positioned further out on the arm allows you to run a lower profile suspension setup, enabling the shocks to lay down further and significantly lowering your vehicle's ride height for a lower centre of gravity that improves handling and stability.
  • Weight reduction of approximately 10% — At just 48 grams each compared to 53 grams for stock ARRMA A-arms, RPM's design saves weight without sacrificing strength, meaning better acceleration, improved battery runtime and less rotational inertia in the suspension.
  • Integrated mudguard mounting points — These A-arms feature moulded-in mounting points that accept RPM optional mudguards separately available, allowing you to protect your driveline from debris kicked up by your front tyres when running through wet or muddy conditions.
  • 30° chamfered leading and trailing edges — The carefully engineered chamfered edges provide smoother transitions over obstacles that are too tall for your suspension to clear, whilst also offering improved aerodynamics compared to stock arms for better overall performance.
  • Engineering-grade nylon construction — All RPM A-arms are moulded from an almost indestructible blend of engineering-grade nylons that deliver reliable performance even when conditions are at their worst, ensuring your suspension can handle the demands of serious RC bashing and racing.
  • Compatibility with front A-arm setup — The second shock mount on these rear A-arms matches the additional shock mount hole on RPM front A-arms sold separately, allowing you to create a fully coordinated and optimised suspension geometry across your entire vehicle.
  • Direct stock replacement — These A-arms replace stock ARRMA part number AR330249 and stock Durango part number TD330707, making installation straightforward for existing RC car owners looking to upgrade their suspension immediately.

Technical Performance

RPM has engineered the Rear A-Arms for ARRMA Outcast, Talion and Kraton through extensive design and testing to deliver measurable performance improvements over factory standard components. The suspension arms are moulded from nearly indestructible engineering-grade nylon material that provides the perfect balance between weight savings and structural integrity. With each arm weighing just 48 grams, the approximately 10% weight reduction compared to stock ARRMA components (which weigh 53 grams each) translates directly into better acceleration, improved responsiveness and extended battery runtime during your RC driving sessions. The precision engineering of the hinge pin mounting areas dramatically reduces slop and play, which means your suspension settings remain consistent and predictable throughout an entire run, whether you're bashing on grass, dirt or tarmac. The dual shock mount configuration represents a clever engineering solution for RC enthusiasts wanting to run lower profile suspensions, as the second shock mount point positioned further out on the arm allows the shocks to lay down at a more horizontal angle, effectively lowering the overall ride height and centre of gravity for enhanced cornering stability and reduced body roll. The leading and trailing 30° chamfered edges are not merely cosmetic—they provide genuine functional benefits by smoothing the transition over larger obstacles that exceed your suspension travel, whilst simultaneously improving aerodynamic flow around the suspension components. These A-arms are sold in pairs and represent a direct replacement for factory standard suspension arms, making them an accessible upgrade for any ARRMA Outcast, Talion or Kraton owner in the UK.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Will RPM Rear A-Arms fit my ARRMA Outcast, Talion or Kraton? — Yes, these RPM rear A-arms are specifically designed as a direct replacement for ARRMA Outcast, Talion and Kraton vehicles, replacing stock ARRMA part number AR330249. They also fit the Durango DEX8T if you own that model.
  • How much weight will I save by upgrading to RPM Rear A-Arms? — Each RPM A-arm weighs approximately 48 grams compared to 53 grams for stock ARRMA components, delivering roughly a 10% weight reduction that translates into better acceleration and improved battery runtime.
  • What is the benefit of the second shock mount hole? — The additional shock mount hole positioned further out on the arm allows you to configure a lower profile suspension setup, enabling your shocks to lay down further and significantly reducing your vehicle's ride height and centre of gravity for improved handling and cornering stability.
  • Can I use RPM Rear A-Arms with my current stock front arms? — Yes, however RPM recommends pairing these rear A-arms with RPM front A-arms RPM81482 sold separately to ensure your suspension geometry is fully optimised, as the second shock mount on the rear arms matches the additional shock mount hole on the front arms.
  • What material are these A-arms made from? — RPM Rear A-Arms are moulded from an engineering-grade nylon blend that is nearly indestructible, providing excellent durability whilst maintaining the lightweight properties essential for RC performance.
  • Are mudguards included with these A-arms? — Mudguards are not included, but RPM optional mudguards RPM81412 can be purchased separately. These guards mount to the integrated moulded-in points on the A-arms and protect your driveline from debris when running in wet or muddy conditions.
  • Do these A-arms reduce suspension play and slop? — Yes, RPM has specifically engineered the hinge pin mounting areas to reduce the amount of movement at the hinge pins, providing better suspension response and more consistent suspension settings compared to stock arms.
  • What colour options are available? — These RPM Rear A-Arms are available in blue and are designed to complement your ARRMA RC vehicle's appearance.
