Overview

The ARRMA Ball Bearing 5x8x2.5mm (2) Z-AR610014 is an essential replacement bearing set for RC car enthusiasts across the UK who demand precision and reliability in their machines. Whether you own an ARRMA Quake 223S or another compatible RC 4x4 model, these high-quality ball bearings are engineered to restore your vehicle to peak performance. As a dedicated RC hobby retailer, we understand that maintaining your RC car UK collection requires access to genuine, manufacturer-approved spare parts that meet exacting quality standards.

These ball bearings are precision-manufactured components that play a crucial role in the smooth operation of your RC vehicle's drivetrain and suspension systems. When your existing bearings start to wear or show signs of degradation, replacing them with genuine ARRMA bearings ensures your RC car continues to perform at its best. This bearing pack contains two individual bearings, making it ideal for servicing multiple areas of your vehicle or maintaining a backup set for competitive racing and recreational bashing alike.

Perfect for RC car UK owners who take their hobby seriously, these replacement bearings represent an investment in the longevity and performance of your equipment. Whether you are a weekend basher enjoying casual backyard fun or a serious competitor preparing for track days, maintaining your bearings with quality replacement parts is essential for consistent, reliable performance.

Key Features

  • Premium Ball-Raced Construction — These bearings feature precision ball-race technology that delivers ultra-smooth operation in all conditions, whether you are driving on grass, concrete, or dirt tracks across the UK. The ball-race design reduces friction and rotational resistance, allowing your RC 4x4 to achieve faster acceleration and smoother handling characteristics.
  • Precision Manufacturing — Each bearing is precision manufactured to exacting tolerances, ensuring fast and easy installation without requiring any modification or adjustment. This means you can service your RC car quickly and confidently, getting back to enjoying your hobby without downtime or frustration during maintenance.
  • Consistent Tolerance Standards — Manufactured to consistent tolerance specifications, these bearings guarantee safe and secure assembly into your vehicle's chassis and drivetrain. This consistency ensures that every bearing performs identically, providing balanced handling and predictable performance across your entire RC 4x4.
  • Double Protective Shields — Each bearing is equipped with double protective shields that provide added durability and extended service life. These shields protect the internal ball-race mechanism from dirt, dust, water splash, and debris commonly encountered during outdoor RC car use, helping to maintain smooth operation for longer between services.
  • OEM Quality Replacement Parts — As genuine ARRMA components, these bearings are manufacturer-approved and meet all original equipment specifications. Using OEM parts ensures compatibility, reliability, and performance that matches your vehicle's original performance characteristics.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA Ball Bearing 5x8x2.5mm represents the pinnacle of precision bearing engineering for RC vehicles. With an internal diameter of precisely 5mm and an external diameter of 8mm, these bearings are sized to fit perfectly into ARRMA drivetrain components, suspension systems, and other rotating assemblies where smooth, friction-free operation is essential. The 2.5mm thickness provides optimal load distribution and durability for the rigorous demands of RC 4x4 vehicles. These bearings are constructed using high-quality ball-race technology that minimises friction and wear, enabling your RC car to achieve peak performance whether you are running at high speeds on tarmac or tackling challenging off-road terrain. The double protective shields incorporated into the design create a sealed environment that protects against contamination from dirt, sand, and water commonly encountered during RC car use across the UK. The precision manufacturing process ensures that tolerances remain consistent from bearing to bearing, providing balanced performance and eliminating the variability that can occur with inferior quality replacement parts. Whether you are maintaining a brushless RC 4x4 or any other ARRMA model, these bearings will restore smooth operation and extend the service life of your vehicle's mechanical components.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which ARRMA models are compatible with the Z-AR610014 ball bearings? — The ARRMA Ball Bearing 5x8x2.5mm is specifically compatible with the ARRMA Quake 223S range, including the 1/10 Quake 223S DSC 2WD RTR Brushless Monster Truck available in Green, Red, and Purple variants. These bearings are designed to replace worn or damaged bearings in these models' drivetrain and suspension systems. If you own a different ARRMA model, we recommend checking your user manual or contacting our team to confirm compatibility before ordering.
  • How often should I replace my RC car bearings? — The frequency of bearing replacement depends on how heavily you use your RC car and the conditions in which you operate it. Regular users who bash their RC vehicles frequently may need to service bearings every few months, whilst casual hobbyists might only need replacement annually. If you notice grinding noises, resistance during wheel rotation, or slower performance, these are signs that your bearings may need replacement. Preventative maintenance through regular bearing servicing will extend the overall lifespan of your vehicle and maintain peak performance.
  • What is the difference between these bearings and cheaper alternatives? — Genuine ARRMA bearings are manufactured to precise specifications using quality materials and processes that ensure consistency and durability. Cheaper alternative bearings may have loose tolerances, inferior ball-race construction, inadequate shielding, or lower-quality materials that lead to faster wear and degraded performance. By investing in genuine OEM bearings, you ensure your RC vehicle operates as the manufacturer intended and maintains resale value if you decide to upgrade or sell your model.
  • How difficult is it to replace bearings on my RC car? — Replacing bearings on your RC vehicle is relatively straightforward for anyone with basic mechanical aptitude and suitable tools. Most ARRMA models feature easily accessible bearing locations that can be removed and replaced without extensive disassembly. The precision manufacturing of these bearings means they install quickly without requiring adjustment or modification. If you are new to RC car maintenance, we recommend consulting your vehicle's user manual for specific guidance on bearing replacement, and feel free to contact our team at RC Model Shop for support and advice.
  • Are these bearings sealed against water and mud? — Yes, the double protective shields incorporated into these bearings provide significant protection against water spray, mud, and dust contamination commonly encountered during outdoor RC car use. Whilst they are not completely waterproof, the shields effectively seal the internal ball-race mechanism and significantly extend bearing life in wet and muddy conditions. For extreme water exposure or competitive swimming activities, additional maintenance and inspection may be advisable.
