Overview

The ARRMA Shock Shaft 4x59.5mm (2): 6S Z-AR330512 is an essential suspension component designed for RC enthusiasts who demand reliable performance from their RC car UK builds. These precision-engineered steel shock shafts are the backbone of your RC buggy's suspension system, delivering consistent dampening and support whether you're running on track or bashing through challenging terrain. Whether you're upgrading a worn set of shocks or building a complete RC car setup from scratch, these replacement shock shafts are a critical upgrade for any serious RC hobbyist in the UK.

Built to withstand the demands of high-performance 6S brushless RC vehicles, these shock shafts provide the durability and precision necessary for smooth, predictable suspension performance in all conditions. The ARRMA brand is recognised worldwide for delivering competition-grade RC components, and these shock shafts maintain that standard. Available as a pack of two, they represent excellent value for RC enthusiasts looking to maintain or upgrade their suspension system without compromising on quality or reliability.

If you're running an ARRMA Typhon 6S 4WD buggy or similar 4mm shock shaft equipped RC model, these replacement shafts are engineered to restore your suspension to peak performance. The precision manufacturing ensures that servicing and maintenance is straightforward, allowing you to spend more time enjoying your RC car and less time wrestling with difficult assembly.

Key Features

  • Strong and durable steel construction — These shock shafts are manufactured from tough steel that withstands the most extreme terrain and repeated impacts, ensuring long-lasting operation in all conditions whether you're racing competitively or weekend bashing your RC vehicle.
  • Precision manufactured threads — The carefully engineered threading allows for fast and easy servicing, meaning you can quickly disassemble and reassemble your shocks for maintenance, adjustment or replacement without stripping or damaging the threads.
  • 4x59.5mm specification — This size is specifically designed for RC models equipped with 4mm shock shafts, ensuring perfect compatibility and optimal suspension geometry for consistent performance across your suspension setup.
  • Pack of two shafts — Each purchase includes two shock shafts, providing a complete replacement set for front and rear suspension or giving you a spare set for uninterrupted racing and bashing sessions.
  • Compatibility with 6S brushless systems — Designed to work with 6S LiPo powered RC vehicles like the ARRMA Typhon range, these shafts handle the increased power and performance demands of modern brushless RC buggies and trucks.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA Shock Shaft 4x59.5mm represents the engineering excellence expected from ARRMA's suspension components. At 59.5mm in length with a 4mm shaft diameter, these components are precision-engineered to exacting tolerances, ensuring that your shock absorber system maintains consistent damping characteristics throughout extended use. The steel construction provides superior strength compared to alternative materials, allowing these shafts to absorb the punishment of rough terrain, jumps, and aggressive driving without bending or developing stress fractures. For RC car UK drivers pushing their 6S brushless machines hard, the robust construction of these shock shafts ensures reliable suspension geometry is maintained, which is critical for handling, predictability and overall vehicle control. The precision threading means that both assembly and disassembly for maintenance happens smoothly without risk of cross-threading or damage, saving valuable time when you need to service your RC suspension system. Whether you're running on loose gravel, tarmac tracks, or technical rock-crawling terrain, these shafts deliver the consistent performance that separates a well-maintained RC vehicle from one that's struggling with worn components.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What RC models are these shock shafts compatible with? — These shafts are confirmed compatible with the ARRMA 1/8 TLR Tuned TYPHON 6S 4WD BLX Buggy RTR. They are designed for any RC model that uses a 4mm shock shaft, which is a common size across many ARRMA 6S vehicles. Check your vehicle's specifications to confirm it uses a 4mm shock shaft before purchasing.
  • Why would I need replacement shock shafts for my RC car? — Shock shafts wear over time with regular use, particularly if you're pushing your RC vehicle hard through rough terrain or competitive racing. Over time, the precision threading can wear, the shaft may develop micro-bends, or seals may degrade. Replacing worn shock shafts restores your suspension to peak performance and ensures consistent damping characteristics.
  • Are these suitable for beginners? — These are replacement suspension components rather than a complete beginner-friendly system. They're best suited to owners who already have a compatible RC vehicle and understand basic suspension maintenance. However, they represent an excellent upgrade path for beginners looking to improve their vehicle's performance.
  • How often should I replace my shock shafts? — Shock shaft lifespan depends on usage intensity. Regular maintenance, including keeping your shocks clean and properly sealed, extends shaft life significantly. If you notice decreased suspension performance, binding, or visible damage to the shafts, it's time to replace them.
  • Do these come as a complete shock assembly? — No, these are shock shafts only. You'll need a complete shock body designed for 4mm shafts, along with shock oil, springs, and associated seals to build a complete shock absorber assembly suitable for your RC model.
