This pack contains two precision-engineered 83.5mm dog bones, perfect for restoring your vehicle's drivetrain to factory specification or as spares for competitive racing and bashing sessions.

Dog bones, also known as CVD driveshafts, are critical components in any RC car's drivetrain system, transferring power from the differential to the wheels with minimal play and maximum efficiency. The ARRMA Dogbone 83.5mm is specifically designed to fit ARRMA vehicles that use this length specification, ensuring perfect compatibility and performance. If you're experiencing wear on your current dog bones, noticing vibration during acceleration, or simply want to maintain a spare set for your ready to run RC vehicle, this replacement pack offers the durability and precision engineering you expect from ARRMA.

Built with attention to detail and manufactured to exact specifications, the ARRMA Dogbone 83.5mm represents the kind of quality spare parts that keep RC vehicles performing at their best. Technical Performance

The ARRMA Dogbone 83.5mm represents professional-grade drivetrain engineering designed to meet the exacting standards of modern RC racing and recreational use. These components are manufactured from super-strong steel that provides exceptional durability and resistance to the stresses generated during acceleration, deceleration, and cornering. The precision manufacturing process ensures that each dog bone features perfectly engineered drive pins that interface seamlessly with your vehicle's differential outdrives, eliminating play and delivering efficient power transmission from the motor to the wheels. The 83.5mm length specification is critical for correct geometry and performance in ARRMA vehicles designed for this dimension, and these components maintain exact factory tolerances to ensure your RC car performs as intended. Whether you're running brushless or brushed power systems, racing on competitive tracks, or enjoying casual weekend bashing, these dog bones will handle the torque and stress loads reliably. The steel construction provides superior strength compared to plastic alternatives, making them the choice for serious RC enthusiasts who demand reliability and longevity from their spare parts.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • When should I replace my RC car dog bones? — You should inspect your dog bones regularly for signs of wear, cracks, or damage. If you notice vibration during acceleration, clunking sounds from the drivetrain, or visible damage to the drive pins, replacement is necessary. Many competitive RC racers keep spare dog bones on hand to minimise downtime between runs.
  • Are these genuine ARRMA parts? — Yes, the ARRMA Dogbone 83.5mm Z-AR310588 are genuine ARRMA components manufactured to exact factory specifications. Using genuine spares ensures perfect compatibility, proper fit, and reliable performance in your RC vehicle.
  • Will these fit my ARRMA RC car? — The 83.5mm length specification means these dog bones are designed for specific ARRMA vehicles that use this dimension. Check your vehicle's manual or contact our team to confirm compatibility with your particular model before ordering.
  • How many dog bones should I have as spares? — Most RC enthusiasts keep at least one or two spare sets on hand, as these are wear items that can fail during intense driving. Having spares means you can keep racing or bashing without waiting for replacements to arrive.
  • What's the difference between steel dog bones and plastic alternatives? — Steel dog bones like these ARRMA components offer superior strength, durability, and longevity compared to plastic alternatives. Whilst plastic may be lighter, steel provides the reliability needed for competitive racing and sustained bashing sessions.
  • Is this suitable for beginners? — Whilst this is a spare part rather than a complete vehicle, beginners will benefit from understanding the importance of drivetrain maintenance. These are recommended as replacement spares once your current dog bones show wear, making them suitable for anyone learning to maintain their RC car properly.
