Overview

The SPM Air Telemetry Flight Pack Voltage Sensor (P-SPMA9554) is an essential accessory for RC aircraft enthusiasts across the UK who demand real-time flight data monitoring. This innovative telemetry sensor transmits critical flight pack or receiver pack voltage information directly to your compatible DSMX transmitter, allowing you to monitor battery health and power levels during flight. Whether you're flying RC planes, drones, or other fixed-wing aircraft, this Spektrum telemetry sensor provides peace of mind by giving you instant visibility of your power system status throughout your flight.

Designed specifically for integration with Spektrum's advanced telemetry ecosystem, this voltage sensor is the perfect addition to any RC aircraft setup that utilises a telemetry-capable DSMX radio system. The sensor comes prewired with Spektrum Z-Connectors, meaning installation is straightforward and reliable. For serious RC flyers in the UK who want to maximise flight safety and monitor their battery performance in real time, this telemetry sensor represents an intelligent investment that could save you from unexpected power loss during critical moments.

As part of the Spektrum Flight Pack telemetry range, this sensor works seamlessly with receivers like the AR10360T+ and other modern Spektrum telemetry-capable systems. The ability to track voltage data during flight allows pilots to make informed decisions about landing windows and flight duration, ultimately improving safety and extending the lifespan of your RC aircraft batteries through better understanding of power draw patterns.

Key Features

  • Real-Time Voltage Monitoring — This sensor continuously transmits your flight pack or receiver pack voltage to your telemetry-capable DSMX transmitter, allowing you to monitor battery health throughout your entire flight without needing to land and check manually.
  • Spektrum Z-Connector Compatible — The sensor is prewired to accept Spektrum Z-Connectors, ensuring reliable connections and straightforward installation without soldering or complex modifications to your RC aircraft.
  • Flight Safety Enhancement — By displaying voltage information on your transmitter screen in real time, this sensor helps you plan your flight profile more intelligently and avoid unexpected power loss situations that could result in loss of control.
  • Battery Longevity Support — Understanding your actual power consumption patterns during flight helps you avoid over-discharging your LiPo or NiMH batteries, which extends their operational lifespan and maintains optimal performance.
  • DSMX Telemetry Ecosystem — This sensor integrates fully with Spektrum's advanced telemetry system, allowing you to combine voltage data with other flight telemetry from your receiver for comprehensive aircraft performance monitoring.
  • Compact Design — The sensor is engineered to be lightweight and unobtrusive, fitting easily into tight RC aircraft fuselages without adding significant weight or requiring extensive modification to your model.

Technical Performance

The SPM Air Telemetry Flight Pack Voltage Sensor represents Spektrum's commitment to providing RC aircraft enthusiasts with professional-grade monitoring capabilities. The sensor utilises proven telemetry transmission technology to reliably communicate voltage data across the 2.4GHz DSMX spectrum to your compatible transmitter. The engineering focuses on accuracy and reliability, with the sensor providing consistent voltage readings that pilots can trust for critical flight decisions. The prewired Z-Connector configuration eliminates common sources of connection failure and ensures that signal transmission remains stable throughout your flight session. Whether you're flying in calm conditions or turbulent weather, this sensor maintains data integrity and continues delivering accurate voltage information. The device is designed for compatibility with standard RC aircraft power systems, working with both Flight Pack and Receiver Pack voltages. Installation requires only a telemetry-capable DSMX transmitter and a compatible receiver with telemetry support, such as the AR7350 or AR10360T+. The sensor's performance has been validated across diverse RC aircraft applications, from small trainers to larger scale models, making it a versatile choice for any serious RC flyer in the UK.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How does the Spektrum telemetry flight pack voltage sensor improve my RC flying experience? — This sensor provides real-time battery voltage information on your transmitter screen during flight, allowing you to monitor power depletion and plan your landing window more effectively. Rather than guessing how much flight time remains, you get accurate data that helps prevent unexpected power loss and keeps your flying safer and more enjoyable.
  • What transmitters and receivers does this voltage sensor work with? — The sensor is designed specifically for Spektrum's telemetry ecosystem and requires a telemetry-capable DSMX transmitter and a compatible receiver. It works with systems like the AR10360T+, AR7350, and other Spektrum telemetry-enabled receivers. Your transmitter must also support telemetry display to see the voltage readings.
  • Is the SPM Air Telemetry Flight Pack Voltage Sensor difficult to install in my RC aircraft? — Installation is straightforward since the sensor comes prewired with Spektrum Z-Connectors, requiring no soldering or technical modifications. You simply connect it to your power system and position it within your airframe, making it accessible even for pilots with limited electronics experience.
  • Can I use this sensor with older Spektrum receivers or non-telemetry systems? — No, this sensor is specifically designed for telemetry-capable DSMX systems. Your receiver must have telemetry functionality and your transmitter must be telemetry-capable to display voltage readings. Check your equipment specifications to ensure compatibility before purchasing.
  • What voltage ranges can this sensor monitor? — The sensor monitors both Flight Pack and Receiver Pack voltages within the operating ranges supported by your specific Spektrum receiver and transmitter combination. Consult your receiver's documentation for exact voltage specifications.
  • Is this sensor waterproof for outdoor RC flying? — The sensor is engineered for typical RC aircraft use, though you should protect it from heavy water exposure. It's suitable for standard outdoor flying conditions common to UK RC enthusiasts, but should be properly sealed within your aircraft fuselage to prevent moisture ingress.
