Overview
The Logic JR Extension Lead (Silicone) 1000mm is a premium-quality extension cable designed to provide reliable connections across your RC model's radio system setup. Whether you're building a complex aircraft with multiple servo connections, setting up an RC car with distributed electronics, or configuring a helicopter with extended servo runs, this 1000mm lead offers the reach you need without compromising on signal integrity or durability. The silicone construction makes this an excellent choice for serious RC enthusiasts who demand professional-grade performance from their equipment, whether you're a competitive racer, a weekend basher, or an experienced scale modeller.
This extension lead is specifically engineered to work seamlessly with all JR and Spektrum-type radio systems, which are among the most popular RC transmitter platforms used by hobbyists across the UK and worldwide. The 1-metre length gives you exceptional flexibility when routing servo leads and receiver connections through your model, eliminating the frustration of leads that are too short or the weight penalty of excess cable. The silicone insulation provides superior flexibility compared to standard wire, making installation easier and reducing the risk of kinks or damage during assembly and field use.
Built to the exacting standards expected of Logic RC products, this extension lead represents genuine value for any RC enthusiast looking to expand their connectivity options without settling for lower-quality alternatives. The combination of gold-plated connections, high-quality mouldings, and robust construction means this lead will serve you reliably across countless RC sessions and models.
Key Features
- 1000mm Length — Providing a full metre of extension reach, this lead allows you to position your servos and receiver exactly where you need them in your RC model without worrying about lead length limitations, which is particularly valuable in larger aircraft, boats, and complex multi-servo installations.
- Silicone Construction — The silicone insulation offers superior flexibility compared to standard PVC-insulated leads, making it easier to route the cable through tight spaces in your model and reducing the risk of damage from repeated flexing during assembly, transport, and operation.
- Gold-Plated Connections — Gold plating on the connector pins provides excellent corrosion resistance and ensures reliable, low-resistance signal transmission, which is critical for maintaining precise servo control and avoiding dropouts or glitches in your RC system.
- High-Quality Mouldings and Wire — The connector housings are professionally moulded to exact tolerances, ensuring a secure, snug fit with your JR or Spektrum-type plugs, while the internal wiring meets strict quality standards for consistent performance across the entire lead length.
- JR and Spektrum Compatibility — This lead works with all JR and Spektrum-type plugs, covering the vast majority of popular RC radio systems used in the UK and making it a versatile addition to any RC enthusiast's spare parts collection.
Technical Performance
The Logic JR Extension Lead (Silicone) 1000mm is engineered to deliver reliable performance in demanding RC applications. The silicone insulation provides superior flexibility and durability compared to standard vinyl or PVC alternatives, making it particularly suitable for RC aircraft where repeated flexing and tight routing through fuselages and wing assemblies is common. The gold-plated connector pins are designed to resist oxidation and corrosion, ensuring that your signal path remains clean and consistent even after extended periods of storage or use in damp conditions. The high-quality mouldings on both ends of the lead create a secure mechanical and electrical connection that will reliably handle the control signals passing through it without degradation. This is a significant consideration for RC users in the UK where weather conditions can vary considerably, and protecting your electronics from potential corrosion is an important part of long-term equipment care. The overall construction quality reflects Logic RC's reputation for producing reliable, professional-grade RC accessories that meet the demanding standards of experienced RC pilots and drivers.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is this extension lead compatible with my RC radio system? — Yes, this extension lead is designed to work with all JR and Spektrum-type plugs, which are the standard connectors used on the vast majority of popular RC transmitters and receivers. If your system uses JR or Spektrum connectors, this lead will work perfectly with your setup.
- What is the advantage of silicone insulation over standard wire? — Silicone insulation provides superior flexibility, making it easier to route the lead through tight spaces in your RC model without creating sharp bends that could damage the internal wiring. It also offers better resistance to temperature extremes and maintains its flexibility even in cold conditions, making it ideal for use in the UK's variable climate.
- Will the gold-plated connections make a noticeable difference to my RC system? — Yes, gold plating significantly improves corrosion resistance and ensures optimal signal transmission by reducing electrical resistance at the connection points. This translates to more reliable servo control with less risk of signal dropouts, which is particularly important in safety-critical applications like RC aircraft control surfaces.
- How does the 1000mm length compare to other extension leads? — At 1 metre, this is one of the longest JR extension leads available, making it perfect for large-scale aircraft, boats, or complex installations where you need to position servos far from the receiver. Shorter leads like 100mm, 200mm, 300mm, 500mm, and 750mm options are available separately if you need different lengths for various applications.
- Can I use multiple extension leads daisy-chained together? — While it is technically possible to connect multiple extension leads together, we recommend using a single lead of the appropriate length for your application, as each additional connector introduces a potential point of failure and adds unnecessary weight to your model.
- Is this suitable for RC cars and trucks as well as aircraft? — Absolutely. This extension lead works equally well in any RC application that uses JR or Spektrum-type connectors, including RC cars, trucks, buggies, crawlers, helicopters, quadcopters, and boats. Anywhere you need to extend your servo or receiver leads, this product will serve you reliably.
