Overview
The Logic JR Extension Lead (HD) 750mm is an essential connectivity component for RC enthusiasts across the UK who demand reliable, high-quality connections between their radio receivers and servos. Whether you're piloting an RC car, aircraft, helicopter or boat, this heavy-duty extension lead provides the robust connection you need when standard servo leads fall short. Measuring 750mm in length, it bridges the gap between your receiver and remote servos with confidence, making it an indispensable addition to any RC modeller's toolkit. This is the perfect solution for those working with JR and Spektrum type plugs who require a longer connection without compromising on signal integrity or build quality.
RC enthusiasts know that quality connections are the foundation of reliable model performance. A poor-quality extension lead can introduce noise into your radio signal, cause servo jitter, or fail completely at a critical moment during flight or track time. The Logic JR Extension Lead (HD) 750mm eliminates these concerns through its heavy-duty construction and premium materials. Gold-plated connectors ensure maximum conductivity and corrosion resistance, whilst high-quality mouldings protect against wear and damage. This lead is manufactured to the exacting standards RC modellers expect, whether you're a weekend basher enjoying your RC car UK hobby or a serious competitor pushing your models to the limit.
Available now at RC Model Shop, this 750mm extension lead represents excellent value for money at just £2.50, offering the durability and performance of much more expensive alternatives. It's the kind of item that belongs in every RC modeller's spares box, ready to solve connectivity challenges across your entire fleet of models.
Key Features
- 750mm Length — The extended 750mm lead length allows you to position your receiver in optimal locations within your model, whether mounted high in the fuselage for better signal reception in aircraft or tucked away safely in an RC car chassis where space is at a premium. This longer format is ideal for larger scale models or applications where the receiver and servo locations are further apart than standard short leads allow.
- Heavy-Duty Construction — Built to withstand the demands of active RC use, this lead features robust engineering throughout its entire length. The heavy-duty rating ensures it can handle repeated connections and disconnections, vibration from running motors, and the general wear and tear of field use without degradation in performance or reliability.
- Gold-Plated Connectors — Gold plating on the connector pins provides superior electrical conductivity compared to standard brass connectors. Gold does not oxidise like copper, meaning your connections remain clean and corrosion-free even after extended storage or exposure to moisture-rich environments. This translates directly to cleaner servo control and more stable radio reception throughout your flying or driving sessions.
- High-Quality Mouldings — The connector housings are precision-moulded to tight tolerances, ensuring a snug, secure fit every time you connect or disconnect the lead. Quality mouldings also protect the delicate pins inside from damage and environmental contamination, extending the lead's operational lifespan significantly.
- Premium Wire Quality — The internal wiring uses quality copper conductors that carry signal accurately with minimal interference. Proper gauge wiring ensures voltage delivery without significant loss, which is particularly important for digital servos that demand clean, stable power and signal lines for smooth operation.
- JR/Spektrum Compatibility — This lead features standard JR and Spektrum type plugs, making it compatible with the vast majority of RC receivers, servos and accessories currently in use across the hobby. Whether your equipment is branded JR, Spektrum, Futaba compatible or any other brand using this universal standard connector, this lead will integrate seamlessly into your setup.
Technical Performance
The Logic JR Extension Lead (HD) 750mm represents a significant upgrade over budget extension leads available in the RC market. The 750mm length provides substantial reach for complex installations whilst remaining flexible enough to route through tight spaces without kinking or stress on the connectors. The heavy-duty specification means the wire gauge and insulation are engineered to carry servo currents reliably, whether you're connecting a standard analogue servo drawing modest current or high-voltage digital servos that demand more power. The gold-plated connections are the industry standard for quality RC components, offering permanent protection against the oxidation that can develop on standard brass connectors over months of storage or use in damp UK conditions. Every aspect of this lead's design reflects practical experience with the real-world demands of RC modelling, from the connector retention features that prevent accidental disconnection during violent landings or crashes, to the strain relief at both ends that protects the solder joints and wire from flexing damage. For RC car UK enthusiasts, aircraft flyers, boat operators and helicopter pilots alike, this extension lead delivers the kind of reliable performance that lets you focus on enjoying your hobby rather than troubleshooting connection problems.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a JR extension lead used for in RC models? — An extension lead allows you to connect a receiver to a servo when the servo is located far from the receiver, either because of the physical layout of your model or because you need to position the receiver in a specific location for optimal signal reception. In aircraft, for example, the receiver might be mounted in the fuselage whilst control surface servos are located in the wings or tail surfaces, requiring extension leads to bridge the gap.
- Is the 750mm length suitable for larger RC aircraft and models? — Yes, the 750mm length makes this extension lead ideal for larger scale RC aircraft, big brushless RC cars, and other sizeable models where receiver and servo positions are typically further apart. It provides generous reach without excessive cable length that could create routing problems or signal noise. For smaller models or tight spaces, Logic RC offers shorter extension leads in 100mm, 200mm, 300mm, 500mm and 600mm lengths.
- What makes gold-plated connectors important for RC radio equipment? — Gold is highly resistant to oxidation and corrosion, which means your connectors will maintain their electrical properties indefinitely, even if stored in damp conditions common in UK garages and sheds. Brass connectors without gold plating can develop a green patina of copper oxide over time, which increases electrical resistance and can cause servo jitter or signal dropouts. Gold plating ensures clean, noise-free signal transmission every time you fly or drive.
- Can I use this lead with different RC radio brands? — Yes, this extension lead features standard JR/Spektrum type connectors that are the universal standard in the RC hobby. They work with Spektrum receivers, JR branded equipment, and the vast majority of third-party RC servos and receivers regardless of brand. This universal compatibility makes it an essential component for any RC modeller working with multiple brands of equipment.
- What is the difference between the HD (Heavy-Duty) version and other extension leads? — Logic RC manufactures both heavy-duty (HD) and silicone versions of their extension leads. The HD version features superior mouldings and wire quality for maximum durability and reliability in demanding applications. The silicone versions offer more flexibility, which some modellers prefer for tight installations. The HD version in 750mm length provides the best combination of durability, reliability and value for most RC enthusiasts.
- Is this suitable for high-voltage digital servos? — Yes, the heavy-duty construction and quality wiring ensure this extension lead can safely carry the currents required by high-voltage digital servos. The gold-plated connectors and proper gauge wiring mean you'll get clean, stable signal delivery without voltage drop that could affect servo performance.
- How does this compare to making my own extension lead? — Professionally manufactured extension leads like this one are soldered and moulded to consistent quality standards that are difficult to replicate at home. The crimped and moulded connectors are more reliable than hand-soldered alternatives, the wire gauge is precisely specified for the application, and the quality of materials is guaranteed. For the price, buying a ready-made lead is both more reliable and more economical than attempting to build your own.
