Overview
The LOGIC Futaba Ext.Lead (Silicone) 750mm is a professional-grade extension lead designed for RC enthusiasts across the UK who demand reliable connectivity in their RC models. Whether you're building a high-performance RC car, aircraft, helicopter, or boat, this 750mm extension lead provides the extra reach you need to route servo and receiver connections through complex chassis layouts without compromising signal integrity. The silicone construction offers superior flexibility compared to standard plastic-insulated leads, making it the ideal choice for modern RC builds where space is at a premium and cable management is essential.
This extension lead is compatible with all Futaba type plugs, making it universally suitable for Futaba radio systems and any RC equipment using standard Futaba connectors. It's particularly valuable for RC enthusiasts working with tight builds where servo placement distances from the receiver exceed standard lead lengths, or for those who prefer cleaner, more professional installations. The 750mm length bridges the gap between shorter 500mm leads and longer 1000mm extensions, offering the perfect middle ground for most RC applications from RC cars and trucks to RC aircraft and drones.
Built to professional standards with gold-plated connections and high-quality mouldings, this lead delivers the consistent electrical contact and durability expected by serious RC hobbyists. The heavy-duty construction ensures this lead will outlast multiple RC builds, making it a worthwhile investment for your RC hobby toolkit whether you're a weekend basher, competition racer, or dedicated scale modeller in the UK.
Key Features
- 750mm Length — This extended reach allows you to position servos and receivers further apart in your RC model, essential for larger frames, complex installations, or when using external battery packs that need remote placement away from the main electronics.
- Silicone Construction — The flexible silicone jacket provides superior durability and flexibility compared to standard plastic insulation, allowing easier routing through tight spaces and reducing strain on connector pins during installation and use.
- Gold-Plated Connections — Premium gold plating on the connector pins ensures reliable electrical contact and eliminates corrosion, critical for maintaining clean signal transmission in RC systems where voltage drop can affect servo response and reliability.
- High-Quality Mouldings — Precision-moulded connector housings provide a secure mechanical fit with Futaba type plugs, preventing accidental disconnection during handling or vibration from your RC model's operation.
- Futaba Type Compatibility — Universal compatibility with all Futaba type connectors means this lead works with Futaba transmitters, receivers, servo extensions, and any standard RC equipment using Futaba-standard plugs, making it essential for any Futaba-based RC setup.
- Heavy-Duty Construction — Engineered for professional RC applications, this lead withstands repeated use, vibration, and the demanding conditions of competitive RC racing, high-speed bashing, or long-duration flight sessions.
Technical Performance
The LOGIC Futaba Ext.Lead (Silicone) 750mm represents a significant upgrade over standard plastic-insulated extension leads commonly supplied with entry-level RC equipment. The silicone jacket material exhibits superior flexibility, allowing for tighter radius bends without cracking or developing weak points, which is crucial when routing cables through chassis plates, servo arms, and tight cockpit areas in scale RC models. The gold-plated connections ensure that the lead maintains consistent electrical conductivity across its full 750mm length, preventing the voltage drop and signal degradation that can occur with inferior connectors. This is particularly important in modern brushless RC systems where electronic speed controllers and digital servos depend on clean, stable voltage signals. The high-quality mouldings are designed to Futaba specification, ensuring a positive mechanical connection that resists vibration-induced loosening during high-speed RC car runs or aerobatic RC aircraft manoeuvres. The 750mm length makes this lead suitable for most RC applications, from 1/10 scale and 1/8 scale RC cars through to larger RC aircraft, helicopters, and boats where receiver-to-servo distances might exceed 600mm. Whether you're installing multiple receiver leads in a large-scale RC model, extending servo reach in a remote-mounted ESC configuration, or building a complex multi-servo RC aircraft installation, this lead delivers the professional-grade performance expected in modern RC hobby applications.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the LOGIC Futaba Ext.Lead (Silicone) 750mm suitable for all my RC equipment? — Yes, this extension lead is compatible with all Futaba type plugs, which are the industry-standard connectors used across most RC radio systems, receivers, and servo equipment. If your RC car, truck, aircraft, helicopter, or boat uses Futaba-standard connectors, this lead will work with your setup. Check your receiver and servo connectors — if they match standard Futaba rectangular plugs, this lead is the right choice.
- Why choose silicone construction over standard plastic-insulated leads? — Silicone offers superior flexibility, durability, and resistance to cracking when bent repeatedly, making it ideal for routing through complex chassis layouts and tight spaces in your RC model. Standard plastic leads become brittle and can crack after multiple bends, potentially exposing internal wires. Silicone construction also provides better performance in extreme temperatures, whether you're running your RC car in summer heat or winter cold in the UK, or flying RC aircraft at altitude.
- What is the benefit of gold-plated connections? — Gold plating prevents corrosion of the connector pins and ensures reliable electrical contact over thousands of connection cycles. This is essential for maintaining clean signal transmission in RC systems, preventing servo jitter, response lag, or complete signal loss. Gold-plated connectors also improve conductivity, reducing voltage drop across the lead's length, which is critical for high-current applications like brushless RC cars and speed controllers.
- Will this 750mm lead work with my RC car's receiver and servo placement? — The 750mm length provides excellent reach for most RC applications. It's long enough to bridge gaps between remotely-mounted receivers and servos in large-scale models, yet short enough to avoid excess coiling in compact builds. If you need extra reach for particularly large RC models or complex installations, a 1000mm lead is also available. For most standard RC cars, trucks, and aircraft, the 750mm length is ideal.
- Can I use this lead with different radio brands? — This lead features Futaba-type connectors, which are the standard plug type used by Futaba radio systems and many other RC manufacturers. If your RC transmitter, receiver, or servos use Futaba-standard rectangular connectors, this lead is compatible. Spektrum and JR systems use different connector types, so check your equipment before purchasing.
- Is this suitable for competitive RC racing? — Absolutely. The gold-plated connections, high-quality mouldings, and durable silicone construction meet the reliability standards expected in competitive RC racing, whether you're competing in 1/10 touring car, 1/8 buggy, or RC truck racing. Professional racers depend on premium leads like this to ensure zero signal loss during high-speed runs.
