Battery Eliminator Circuits are small devices that eliminate the need for a receiver and servo battery pack. They draw higher voltage from the motor batteries and drop it to a voltage level that is suitable for your receiver and servos. This is required in applications which draw high power for multiple servos or use more than 3S motor packs, as most ESCs with linear BECs are not designed for these applications.
NOTE: CC BEC Pro should never be operated in series or parallel with another BEC or backup receiver pack connected to the RX/Servo side of the circuit.

Overview
The Castle Creations BEC Pro (P-CC0401) is a professional-grade high-output battery eliminator circuit designed for serious RC enthusiasts who demand reliable power delivery to their receiver and servo systems. This advanced voltage regulator steps down voltage from your main drive batteries, eliminating the need for a separate RX/servo battery pack. Whether you're running a high-performance RC car UK setup, a demanding off-road buggy, or a complex multi-servo application, the BEC Pro is engineered to handle the challenges that standard linear BECs cannot manage.
The BEC Pro is specifically intended for applications that draw high power for multiple servos or use more than 3S motor packs, where many ESCs with built-in linear BECs are not designed to cope. This makes it an essential component for competitive RC racers, weekend bashers running brushless motors, and anyone operating high-specification RC vehicles that demand more current than typical integrated solutions can provide. With a maximum input voltage of 50.4V (supporting up to 12S LiPo batteries), the BEC Pro is future-proofed for advanced RC applications and stands out as a robust solution in the UK RC market.
At just 29 grams and measuring only 43 x 33 x 24mm, this compact regulator delivers impressive power handling without adding unnecessary weight to your RC setup. The Castle Creations reputation for reliability and performance means you're investing in a component that will serve your RC hobby for years to come, whether you're into ready to run RC vehicles or custom-built racing machines.
Key Features
- High-Output Design — The BEC Pro delivers maximum continuous current of 15A at 16V stepping down to 8A at 48V, and peaks at 20A, providing sufficient power for multiple servos and high-demand applications where standard ESC-integrated BECs would struggle or fail.
- Wide Input Voltage Range — With support for input voltages up to 50.4V (12S LiPo), this regulator works with virtually any modern battery configuration, making it compatible with advanced RC car UK setups and next-generation power systems.
- Adjustable Output Voltage — The output voltage range of 4.8V to 12.5V allows you to dial in the perfect voltage for your specific receiver and servo requirements, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of your electronics.
- Compact and Lightweight — At only 29g and measuring 43 x 33 x 24mm, the BEC Pro adds minimal weight and space requirements to your RC vehicle, crucial for maintaining weight distribution and performance characteristics.
- Clean Power Delivery — By drawing voltage from your main drive batteries and stepping it down cleanly, the BEC Pro eliminates the voltage spikes and noise that can cause servo jitter and receiver glitches, resulting in more precise and responsive RC control.
- No Interference with Other BECs — The design ensures that the BEC Pro should never be operated in series or parallel with another BEC or backup receiver pack connected to the RX/servo side, simplifying installation and preventing compatibility issues.
- Professional-Grade Reliability — Castle Creations is a recognised manufacturer in the RC hobby, and this BEC Pro reflects their commitment to quality engineering and performance that competitive RC racers depend upon.
Technical Performance
The Castle Creations BEC Pro represents a significant step up in power regulation technology for demanding RC applications. With its ability to handle 20A peak current and continuous currents ranging from 15A at lower voltages up to 8A at maximum input voltage, this regulator is engineered for the rigorous demands of high-performance RC vehicles. The stabilised output voltage range of 4.8V to 12.5V ensures that your receiver and servos receive clean, consistent power regardless of battery state of charge or load conditions. The maximum input voltage specification of 50.4V (supporting up to 12S LiPo configurations) places this BEC Pro firmly in the professional tier of RC electronics, suitable for everything from lightweight 1/10 scale racing machines to larger RC vehicles requiring substantial servo power. The compact form factor and lightweight construction (29g total weight) mean minimal impact on vehicle performance, whilst the high continuous current rating at voltage-stepped outputs ensures that complex multi-servo setups—common in modern brushless RC cars and trucks—receive the dedicated power they demand. Materials and engineering quality are characteristic of Castle Creations' reputation for building electronics that withstand competitive use and demanding amateur applications. The regulator's switching design provides significantly better efficiency than traditional linear regulators, meaning less heat generation and better battery runtime for your RC setup.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a Battery Eliminator Circuit and why do I need one? — A Battery Eliminator Circuit (BEC) is a small power regulation device that eliminates the need for a separate receiver and servo battery pack. It draws higher voltage from your main motor batteries and steps it down to a voltage level suitable for your receiver and servos. This is essential in RC applications that draw high power for multiple servos or use more than 3S motor packs, as most ESCs with linear BECs are not designed to handle these demanding applications. The BEC Pro specifically addresses the shortcomings of standard integrated BECs.
- What voltage range does the BEC Pro support? — The BEC Pro accepts input voltages up to 50.4V (supporting up to 12S LiPo batteries) and provides adjustable output voltage ranging from 4.8V to 12.5V, allowing you to select the optimal voltage for your receiver and servo requirements.
- How much current can the BEC Pro supply? — The BEC Pro is rated for maximum continuous current of 15A at 16V input, stepping down to 8A at 48V input, with peak current capability of 20A. This makes it suitable for applications with multiple high-torque servos or demanding RC setups where standard BECs would be insufficient.
- Is the BEC Pro suitable for beginners? — The BEC Pro is designed for intermediate to advanced RC enthusiasts who understand their power requirements and are operating high-demand applications. Beginners with simple ready to run RC vehicles may not need a dedicated BEC, but anyone building a custom RC car UK with multiple servos or brushless motors should consider it essential equipment.
- Can I use the BEC Pro with my existing RC vehicle? — The BEC Pro is compatible with any RC vehicle setup using 2S to 12S LiPo batteries (or equivalent input voltage up to 50.4V) that requires regulated power for receivers and servos. However, you should ensure your current setup is not already using another BEC, as the BEC Pro should never be operated in series or parallel with another BEC or backup receiver pack connected to the RX/servo side of the circuit.
- What makes the BEC Pro different from a standard ESC-integrated BEC? — Many electronic speed controllers include integrated linear BECs that work adequately for simple applications, but they are not designed for high-power multi-servo applications or setups using more than 3S batteries. The Castle Creations BEC Pro is a dedicated, high-output switching regulator that provides substantially higher current capacity, better voltage stability, and superior performance in demanding RC applications where standard solutions fall short.
- How much weight does the BEC Pro add to my RC vehicle? — At only 29 grams, the BEC Pro adds minimal weight to your RC setup, making it practical for vehicles where weight distribution and overall performance are critical considerations.
