Overview
The Castle Creations O-CC6900 6.5mm Polarised Bullet Connectors represent the pinnacle of high-current connectivity for demanding RC power systems. Whether you're running a high-performance RC car UK, building custom battery harnesses, or setting up a serious competition RC rig, these connectors deliver the robust, keyed connection that serious modellers depend on. This comprehensive pack includes 6 female bullets and 3 durable housings, making it ideal for those who need reliable reverse-polarity protection across multiple batteries, ESCs and power leads without the risk of accidentally destroying expensive electronics.
Castle Creations has engineered these polarised connectors to solve a critical problem faced by RC enthusiasts: the need for extremely high current capacity without sacrificing voltage flexibility or physical size. Unlike standard battery connectors that force modellers to increase voltage just to maintain amperage levels, the Castle 6.5mm connectors handle up to 200 amps of continuous current at any voltage used in RC applications. They are manufacturer-rated as among the highest-rated polarised connectors on the market, making them the go-to choice for RC rock crawlers, high-speed bashers, competition vehicles, and anyone pushing their electrical systems to the limit. The combination of safety, performance and user-friendly design makes these connectors essential for any serious RC modeller in the UK.
Perfect for batteries and ESCs, charger leads, parallel and series harnesses, high-current amp/watt meters, and any application demanding super-high current capacity, the Castle 6.5mm connectors represent genuine innovation in RC power connectivity. Once you experience the confidence of a properly keyed connection that physically prevents reverse-polarity mistakes, you'll understand why polarised connectors have earned a devoted following among experienced RC enthusiasts.
Key Features
- Rated to 200A Continuous Current — The 6.5mm version is engineered to safely handle up to 200 amps of continuous current in RC applications, delivering the highest amperage capacity among polarised connectors on the market and eliminating the need to increase voltage unnecessarily just to meet amperage demands.
- Polarised Design for Reverse-Polarity Protection — The keyed connector design makes it physically impossible to plug batteries or power leads in backwards, protecting expensive electronics, ESCs and batteries from destructive mistakes that could cost hundreds of pounds to replace.
- Accepts Wire Up to 6 AWG — These connectors accommodate extremely large gauge wire up to 6 AWG, ensuring minimal electrical resistance and optimal power transfer for high-current applications, reducing voltage drop and heat generation.
- Ridged Housing for Superior Grip — The ridges moulded into the connector housings make them significantly easier to grip, handle and disconnect, even with gloved hands or after extended use, improving user experience and reducing strain during assembly and maintenance.
- Clearly Marked Battery and ESC Designations — Each housing is clearly printed with either "Battery" or "ESC" labels, allowing instant identification during setup and preventing confusion during assembly, which is particularly valuable when working with multiple harnesses or in low-light conditions.
- Versatile Application Range — These connectors work brilliantly on batteries and ESCs, charger leads, parallel and series harnesses, high-current amp/watt meters, and any other system requiring massive current capacity, making them a single solution for multiple connectivity needs.
Technical Performance
The Castle Creations 6.5mm polarised bullet connectors represent a significant engineering achievement in RC power connectivity. With a maximum continuous current rating of 200 amps, these connectors far exceed the capabilities of standard polarised options and compete favourably with traditional unpolarised bullet connectors whilst maintaining the crucial reverse-polarity protection that prevents accidental mis-connections. The connectors accept wire gauges up to 6 AWG, ensuring that even the most demanding high-current applications can utilise these connectors without compromising electrical integrity. The ridged housing design isn't merely aesthetic—it serves a functional purpose by providing enhanced tactile feedback and grip, making connections and disconnections far easier and reducing the risk of accidental damage during handling. The clear "Battery" and "ESC" markings printed directly onto the housings provide instant visual reference, eliminating confusion and reducing setup time. Built to the highest standards by Castle Creations, a manufacturer with an outstanding reputation for quality and reliability in the RC industry, these connectors deliver consistent performance across voltage ranges from 1S LiPo through to competition-level multi-cell battery systems. The polarised design ensures that whether you're a competition RC racer, a weekend basher, or an RC enthusiast building complex custom harnesses, your expensive electronics remain protected from the single most common connectivity mistake: reverse polarity.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the maximum current rating for these Castle 6.5mm polarised connectors? — These connectors are rated to handle up to 200 amps of continuous current in RC applications, making them the highest-rated polarised connectors available on the market. This exceptional capacity eliminates the need to increase voltage merely to achieve the amperage your RC system requires.
- Will these connectors work with my existing RC battery and ESC setup? — The 6.5mm polarised bullet connectors are designed for universal compatibility with any RC battery system, ESC, charger lead, parallel harness, series harness, or high-current measuring device that requires robust, keyed connectivity. Their polarised design means you cannot accidentally reverse-plug them, protecting your investment regardless of the brand of battery or electronic speed controller you're using.
- What wire gauge do these connectors accept, and why does that matter? — These connectors accept wire as large as 6 AWG, which is extremely large gauge wire designed for high-current applications. Larger gauge wire means lower electrical resistance, which translates to less voltage drop, less heat generation, and better power delivery to your RC vehicle's motor—critical factors for competitive racing or high-speed bashing.
- Are these connectors suitable for beginners? — Absolutely. While these connectors are engineered for high-current professional and competition use, their polarised design actually makes them ideal for beginners because they prevent the most common and most costly mistake in RC: connecting a battery backwards. The ridged housing and clear markings also make them easier to use than many standard connectors, reducing the chance of handling errors.
- What makes polarised connectors different from standard bullet connectors? — Polarised connectors feature a keyed design that physically prevents you from inserting them backwards, whereas standard unpolarised bullets can be connected either way—a single mistake that can instantly destroy an expensive ESC or battery. If reverse polarity protection is important to you, polarised connectors like these are the only safe choice.
- Can I use these connectors for charger leads and parallel harnesses? — Yes, Castle explicitly recommends these connectors for charger leads, parallel harnesses, series harnesses, and high-current amp/watt meters, making them a versatile solution for virtually every high-current connectivity need in your RC arsenal.
- Why would I choose 6.5mm over other connector sizes? — The 6.5mm size is engineered specifically to handle up to 200 amps of continuous current, making it suitable for the most demanding RC applications where maximum current capacity is essential. If your system requires extreme amperage—perhaps a multi-cell LiPo battery powering an RC crawler or competition-level RC vehicle—the 6.5mm size is the logical choice.
