Overview

The Traxxas Titan 775 Brushed Motor (10-turn / 16.8 volts) represents the largest high-torque brushed motor offering from Traxxas, making it an exceptional choice for RC enthusiasts across the UK seeking massive power and reliability without the premium cost associated with brushless alternatives. This monstrous mill is engineered for serious off-road adventure, delivering superior torque and smoothness that will transform the performance of compatible RC vehicles. Whether you're upgrading your existing RC car, buggy, monster truck or crawler, the Titan 775 provides the kind of raw power that serious bashers and trail conquerors demand.

Built to handle the demands of non-stop off-road action, this motor excels in applications where you need to tame difficult terrain and conquer steep climbs. The Titan 775 has earned recognition among UK RC car enthusiasts for offering exceptional value for money, delivering genuine monster power without the unnecessary cost premium of going brushless. Real users have reported running this motor continuously through demanding conditions including snow, water crossings and rocky terrain with outstanding reliability and durability. If you're looking for a high-torque brushed motor that can handle abuse and keep performing, the Titan 775 is a proven, battle-tested choice.

This motor is ideal for builders who understand their vehicle compatibility requirements and are seeking a direct upgrade path to dramatically increased torque and pulling power. The 10-turn configuration sits in the sweet spot between manageable current draw and genuinely impressive output, making it suitable for both intermediate and experienced builders who want to push their RC vehicles to their limits.

Key Features

  • Fan-cooled five-pole armature — The five-pole design delivers superior torque and smoothness compared to standard three-pole motors, whilst the integrated fan-cooling system ensures the motor can run continuously without thermal shutdown, enabling extended off-road adventures without performance degradation.
  • Extra wrap of steel around the motor can — This reinforced construction increases the magnetic field strength around the motor, directly translating to higher torque output and more pulling power to tackle demanding terrain and steep climbs that would challenge lesser motors.
  • Heavy-duty 5mm output shaft — The robust 5mm shaft provides a solid, reliable connection point for your vehicle's drivetrain, offering excellent durability and resistance to the stress and shock loads that come with high-torque operation in serious off-road conditions.
  • Largest Traxxas brushed motor — As Traxxas's flagship brushed motor offering, this is the most powerful option in the brushed motor lineup, delivering maximum torque for vehicles where brushless alternatives may be unnecessary or where cost-effective power is the priority.
  • Stock and economy-class compatible — The Titan 775 is classified as a Stock & Eco motor, making it suitable for use in vehicles designed to accept this motor class without requiring specialised electronics or exotic components.
  • Proven reliability and longevity — Multiple real-world reports from UK RC enthusiasts confirm this motor delivers exceptional durability even after extended use in harsh conditions, making it a sensible investment for serious bashers.

Technical Performance

The Traxxas Titan 775 is a 16.8-volt, 10-turn brushed motor engineered with a five-pole armature configuration that delivers the torque and smoothness characteristics demanding RC enthusiasts require. The motor's construction emphasises durability and magnetic efficiency, with reinforced steel wrapping around the motor can to maximise the magnetic field and therefore maximise torque output. The 5mm output shaft is engineered to withstand the loads generated by high-torque operation, whilst the integrated fan-cooling system ensures continuous operation without thermal limitations. This motor is designed for vehicles requiring a Stock & Eco class motor and operates at 16.8 volts (compatible with 4S LiPo battery systems). The brushed motor design, whilst requiring periodic brush maintenance compared to brushless alternatives, offers excellent cost-efficiency and straightforward compatibility with standard RC vehicle electronics. Real-world testing by UK RC enthusiasts has demonstrated this motor's ability to maintain performance through extended sessions in challenging conditions including water, mud, snow and rock obstacles, confirming its suitability for serious off-road adventure and trail conquest applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is the Traxxas Titan 775 suitable for beginners? — The Titan 775 is best suited to builders with experience in motor installation and basic understanding of motor specifications and vehicle compatibility. This is not a beginner-level component; you should fully understand what motor type your vehicle requires before purchasing. If you're new to RC vehicles and uncertain about motor compatibility, we recommend contacting our expert team at RC Model Shop for guidance before purchase.
  • What voltage and battery type does the Titan 775 require? — The Titan 775 is a 16.8-volt motor, which means it is designed to operate with 4S LiPo battery systems. You must verify that your vehicle's electronics (ESC and receiver) are compatible with this voltage and that your vehicle's manual specifies compatibility with a 10-turn motor in the Stock & Eco class.
  • How does the Titan 775 compare to other Traxxas brushed motors? — The Titan 775 is the largest and most powerful brushed motor in the Traxxas lineup, offering superior torque compared to smaller alternatives like the Titan 550. If you require maximum torque and absolute pulling power rather than top speed, the Titan 775 represents the pinnacle of Traxxas brushed motor performance. However, if your vehicle is designed for a smaller motor, you must respect those specifications to avoid damaging drivetrain components.
  • Will this motor give me more speed? — The Titan 775 is engineered primarily for torque rather than speed. Users report that this motor delivers impressive pulling power and climbing ability whilst maintaining similar top speeds to smaller motor configurations. If your primary goal is maximum velocity, a lower-turn count motor (fewer turns = higher speed) would be more appropriate. The Titan 775 excels when your priority is traction, hill-climbing ability and raw pulling power.
  • How long does this motor last? — Real-world reports from UK RC enthusiasts document motors lasting over one year of heavy use including snow driving, river crossings and rock climbing with no performance degradation. Brushed motor lifespan depends heavily on maintenance (brush wear) and driving conditions. Regular inspection of brushes and commutator cleanliness will extend motor life significantly.
  • Can I use this in a rock crawler or trail truck? — Yes, the Titan 775's high-torque characteristics make it exceptionally well-suited for rock crawling and trail driving applications where pulling power and low-speed climbing ability are paramount. This motor has been successfully tested in both Summit and E-Revo platforms with excellent results in challenging terrain.
