Overview

The ARRMA Diff Case 29mm is an essential replacement spare part designed for ARRMA RC vehicles that require precision drivetrain components. Whether you're a serious RC enthusiast running competitive vehicles or a weekend basher looking to maintain your RC car in top condition, having quality replacement parts on hand is crucial for keeping your model on the track or trail. This 29mm differential case is engineered to exacting standards by ARRMA, a recognised leader in high-performance RC vehicles, and provides the perfect solution when your existing diff case requires replacement or upgrade.

If you own an ARRMA 1/8 KRATON 6S EXB, 1/7 LIMITLESS 8S AVC, or 1/7 TALION 6S EXB, this differential case is specifically designed to work seamlessly with your vehicle's drivetrain system. The 29mm size is a critical specification that ensures perfect fitment and optimal performance. Whether you're experiencing wear on your existing differential case or simply want to keep spare parts in your workshop, this ARRMA component delivers the reliability and durability you expect from the brand.

As a genuine ARRMA spare part available from RC Model Shop, you can be confident you're purchasing an authentic component built to the same exacting standards as the original equipment fitted to your RC car. This is not a generic or aftermarket substitute—it's the genuine article that ARRMA engineers specified for these vehicles.

Key Features

  • Tough Composite Construction — The differential case is manufactured from a tough composite material that delivers long-lasting performance in all driving conditions, whether you're bashing on rough terrain, running circuit tracks, or competing in organised RC events. Composite materials offer an excellent balance of strength and weight, ensuring your differential operates reliably without adding unnecessary mass to your vehicle.
  • Precision Moulded Design — Each diff case is precision moulded to deliver accurate fit and simple servicing, meaning you can remove and reinstall the component without struggling with poor tolerances or misalignment. This attention to manufacturing quality is what separates genuine ARRMA parts from budget alternatives and ensures your vehicle runs smoothly every time.
  • Moulded-in Steel Insert — A steel insert is moulded directly into the composite case to provide increased durability under extreme loads, protecting the differential mechanism from damage during aggressive driving, hard landings, or competitive racing. This hybrid construction combines the benefits of composite and steel to create a component that can handle the demands of modern high-performance RC vehicles.
  • Perfect Compatibility — This 29mm diff case is engineered to work with the specific differential components designed for this size, ensuring that when you fit this case alongside the appropriate internal gears and components, everything works together harmoniously for optimal performance.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA Diff Case 29mm represents a critical component in the drivetrain system of ARRMA's most popular and respected models. The 29mm specification refers to the diameter of the differential case, a measurement that determines compatibility with the internal differential gears and the overall drivetrain architecture. The composite construction with moulded-in steel insert represents modern RC engineering at its best—it provides the strength needed to handle the torque output of brushless motors found in ARRMA's 6S and 8S models, whilst remaining light enough to maintain optimal handling characteristics. The precision moulding process ensures that the case maintains dimensional accuracy throughout its service life, preventing the kind of wear that can cause sloppy drivetrain feel or power loss. This is particularly important in competitive RC racing where drivetrain efficiency directly translates to lap times and race results. The tough composite material resists the kind of impact damage that can occur during crashes or rough driving, whilst the steel insert specifically protects the stress points where the internal differential gears mesh and transmit power to the drive shafts. Whether you're running a stock 6S setup or pushing the limits with an 8S LiPo battery, this differential case is engineered to handle the demands placed upon it.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is the ARRMA Diff Case 29mm compatible with my RC car? — This differential case is specifically designed for ARRMA models including the 1/8 KRATON 6S EXB 4x4 RTR Speed Monster Truck in black, the 1/7 LIMITLESS 8S AVC 4x4 RTR BLX Street Speed available in white/blue and red/black, and the 1/7 TALION 6S EXB 4x4 RTR Speed Truck in black. If you own one of these vehicles and need to replace your existing differential case, this is the correct part. Always check your vehicle's manual or contact our team if you're unsure whether this component will fit your specific RC model.
  • What happens when a differential case fails or wears out? — A worn or damaged differential case can cause several problems including power loss to the wheels, excessive play or slop in the drivetrain, unusual grinding or clicking noises from the differential assembly, and unpredictable handling characteristics. If you notice any of these symptoms, replacing the diff case should be one of your first troubleshooting steps. This is a genuine ARRMA replacement part that will restore your vehicle to factory specifications.
  • Can I use this diff case with aftermarket internal components? — This 29mm case is designed to work with differential components engineered for the 29mm size. Whilst there may be aftermarket options available, ARRMA recommends using components specifically designed for this case size to ensure proper fitment, alignment, and performance. Always verify compatibility before purchasing additional parts for your differential assembly.
  • How often should I service my differential case? — Regular maintenance is key to keeping your RC car running smoothly. After every few hours of running or following any particularly dusty or wet conditions, it's good practice to inspect your differential case for damage and clean out any accumulated dirt or debris. If you notice cracks, excessive wear, or the case no longer holds the internal gears securely in alignment, replacement is the best option—attempting to repair a damaged case is rarely cost-effective compared to purchasing this affordable genuine spare part.
  • Why should I buy a genuine ARRMA diff case instead of a generic alternative? — Genuine ARRMA parts are engineered and tested to the same exacting standards as the components originally fitted to your RC vehicle. A genuine diff case ensures perfect fitment, optimal performance, and compatibility with all ARRMA-designed internal components. Aftermarket or generic alternatives may have tolerances that don't match your vehicle exactly, potentially leading to poor performance or premature wear. When you invest in a genuine ARRMA spare part from RC Model Shop, you're choosing reliability and authenticity.
