Overview
The Traxxas Connector, power tap (with cable) 2.6x8 BCS (2) TRX6541X is an essential accessory for RC enthusiasts in the UK who want to monitor their vehicle's performance in real-time. This power tap connector is specifically designed to work with the Traxxas #6549 power tap for telemetry voltage monitoring, making it an invaluable addition to your RC car setup. Whether you're a serious competitor, weekend basher, or hobbyist looking to optimise your ready to run RC car's electrical system, this connector enables you to tap directly into your vehicle's power supply to feed voltage data to your telemetry system. The TRX6541X comes with two connectors in the package, ensuring you have spares or can outfit multiple vehicles with voltage monitoring capability.
For RC car enthusiasts across the UK, having access to real-time telemetry data is the difference between guessing and knowing what's happening with your vehicle during operation. The power tap connector allows you to safely extract voltage information from your battery system without compromising the main power delivery to your RC model. This is particularly useful for brushless RC cars where battery voltage monitoring can help you manage runtime, understand battery health, and optimise your driving sessions. The two connectors included in this pack offer flexibility for users who run multiple vehicles or want to keep a spare on hand.
Traxxas has engineered this connector with precision in mind, featuring the standard 2.6x8 BCS (battery connector system) specification that ensures secure, reliable connections. The included cable makes installation straightforward, so you don't need to source additional wiring or spend hours figuring out how to integrate telemetry into your setup. This is the kind of small but crucial part that separates casual RC operators from dedicated enthusiasts who want complete control and visibility over their vehicle's performance metrics.

Technical Performance
The Traxxas Power Tap Connector TRX6541X is engineered with precision engineering that reflects Traxxas's commitment to quality RC components. The 2.6x8 BCS connector specification provides a robust connection that can handle the electrical demands of modern brushless RC cars and trucks. The connector design ensures minimal voltage drop across the connection, which is critical for accurate telemetry readings. The included cable is manufactured to Traxxas specifications, ensuring proper gauge and insulation for safe operation. This component is built to integrate seamlessly with Traxxas's telemetry ecosystem, specifically working with the #6549 power tap for voltage monitoring. The connector pair provides the flexibility that serious RC enthusiasts need when running multiple vehicles or maintaining a well-organised workshop. Whether you're using this with a 2S, 3S, 4S, or higher-capacity LiPo battery system, the TRX6541X will safely tap voltage data without compromising power delivery to your brushless motor and ESC. The solid engineering means you can rely on consistent telemetry readings lap after lap, race after race.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a power tap connector and why do I need one for my RC car? — A power tap connector allows you to safely extract voltage data from your battery system to feed to a telemetry receiver or on-board logging system. This is essential if you want to monitor your battery's performance during operation, track voltage sag under load, and understand how your RC car's electrical system behaves in real-time. For serious racers and hobbyists in the UK running brushless RC cars, telemetry data is invaluable for optimising performance and extending battery life.
- Is this compatible with my Traxxas RC car? — Yes, this TRX6541X is designed specifically to work with the Traxxas #6549 power tap for telemetry voltage monitoring. It features the standard 2.6x8 BCS connector which is used across Traxxas's range of modern RC vehicles. Check your vehicle's documentation to confirm it supports the #6549 power tap system, and you'll be compatible.
- Why does this pack include two connectors? — Traxxas includes two connectors to provide flexibility for users with multiple vehicles or those who want to maintain spare parts. This ensures you always have a connector on hand, and you can outfit more than one RC car with telemetry capability.
- What battery systems does this work with? — The TRX6541X power tap connector works with any LiPo battery system that your Traxxas vehicle supports, whether that's 2S, 3S, 4S, or higher-capacity batteries. The connector is a voltage tap, not a power delivery device, so it doesn't limit your battery options at all.
- Do I need any additional parts to use this connector? — The TRX6541X comes complete with cable included, so you have everything needed to connect to your Traxxas #6549 power tap. However, you will need the #6549 power tap itself and a telemetry receiver to complete the system.
- Will using this connector affect my RC car's performance? — No. This is a voltage tap connector that only extracts a tiny amount of current for telemetry reading. It does not interrupt your main power delivery to the motor and ESC, so your RC car's performance remains completely unaffected.
