Overview

The Radient LiPo 3S 6000mAh 11.1V 50C XT60 battery is a high-capacity lithium polymer power pack designed for demanding RC applications. Whether you're running an RC car UK, RC buggy, or any other electric RC model that requires serious performance and sustained power delivery, this 3-cell LiPo pack delivers the voltage and amperage needed to keep your model running at peak performance. With 6000mAh of capacity packed into a compact form factor, this battery is ideal for racers, weekend bashers, and hobbyists who demand reliable, consistent power from their RC equipment.

This Radient battery pack stands out in a crowded market because it combines genuine capacity with a respectable 50C discharge rating, meaning it can deliver substantial current output without voltage sag or performance degradation. The XT60 connector is industry-standard across the RC hobby, making it compatible with the vast majority of modern brushless RC cars, trucks, crawlers and other electric RC models sold in the UK today. The soft case construction protects your investment whilst keeping weight to a minimum, and at just 0.45kg, this battery won't significantly impact your RC model's performance characteristics or handling balance.

If you're looking for a ready to run RC solution or upgrading an existing brushless RC setup, the Radient 3S LiPo represents excellent value and proven performance. The 11.1V nominal voltage of a 3-cell pack is the sweet spot for 1/10-scale RC models, delivering enough punch for exhilarating speed and acceleration whilst remaining manageable in terms of power system requirements and ESC compatibility.

Key Features

  • 6000mAh High Capacity — This battery pack provides substantial energy storage, ensuring extended run times on the track, trail or bash course compared to smaller capacity alternatives. More capacity means longer sessions between charges, which is critical for competitive RC car UK racing and serious hobby use.
  • 50C Discharge Rating — A 50C rating means this LiPo can safely discharge at rates up to 300 amps (50 × 6 amps), providing the sustained current needed for high-performance brushless motors and demanding acceleration bursts. This discharge capability ensures minimal voltage sag during peak power demands, maintaining consistent throttle response and top speed throughout the charge cycle.
  • 3S Cell Configuration (11.1V Nominal) — Three cells in series deliver 11.1 volts nominal, with a fully charged voltage of 12.6V. This voltage level is the industry standard for 1/10-scale electric RC cars and trucks, ensuring perfect compatibility with the vast majority of brushless ESCs and motor combinations available in the RC hobby.
  • XT60 Connector — The XT60 is the most widely adopted connector type in modern RC applications, providing a solid, reliable connection that's quick to disconnect and reconnect. This standard connector means you can swap this battery between multiple RC models without requiring adapters or modifications.
  • Compact and Lightweight Design — With dimensions of 155mm length, 48mm width, and 28mm height, this battery pack fits within the battery compartments of most 1/10-scale ready to run RC cars and custom-built machines. The soft case protects the cells whilst maintaining a low weight profile that won't compromise handling or performance.
  • Reliable Radient Brand Quality — Radient batteries are recognised throughout the RC hobby for consistent quality, safety certifications, and honest capacity ratings. Every pack is manufactured to strict standards, ensuring you get genuine 6000mAh capacity and reliable performance every time you charge and use this battery.
  • Age Recommendation 14+ — This product is recommended for users aged 14 and over, reflecting the electrical safety and handling knowledge required for proper lithium polymer battery use and charging.

Technical Performance

The Radient 3S 6000mAh LiPo represents solid engineering focused on delivering consistent power output across a wide range of RC applications. The 50C discharge rating is a genuine specification, not inflated marketing—this means you can run a 6000mAh pack through a 300-amp draw safely and repeatedly without thermal issues or cell damage. For perspective, a typical 1/10-scale brushless RC car with a sensible motor and ESC combination (such as a 3660 3200KV motor with a 60-amp ESC) will draw between 100-180 amps under normal acceleration and top speed running, placing the demands squarely within this battery's capability envelope. The 11.1V nominal voltage delivers approximately 12.6 volts when freshly charged, which modern brushless ESCs and motors are engineered to accept without issue. Build quality is evidenced by the soft case construction, which protects the LiPo cells from punctures and external damage whilst allowing proper air circulation for safe charging and discharging. The XT60 connector uses gold-plated contacts to ensure minimal resistance and heat generation during power transfer, which is critical for maintaining voltage stability and maximising runtime. With proper care—including regular balancing, appropriate charging rates (no faster than 1C, or 6 amps for this pack), and storage at 50% charge—this battery will provide hundreds of charge cycles of reliable performance, making it an excellent long-term investment for serious RC enthusiasts.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What RC cars and trucks is the Radient 3S 6000mAh LiPo compatible with? — This battery is compatible with any brushless or brushed electric RC car, truck, buggy, crawler or other model that accepts a 3S LiPo battery with XT60 connector. This includes the vast majority of 1/10-scale ready to run RC cars available in the UK market, such as stadium trucks, short-course trucks, buggies, monster trucks, and touring cars. Check your RC model's documentation or specifications to confirm it accepts 3S LiPo batteries.
  • How long will this battery last per charge? — Runtime depends entirely on your RC model's motor, ESC, driving style and terrain. A typical 1/10-scale brushless RC car might achieve 15-30 minutes of continuous running on a single charge, though this varies significantly. Lighter models, smaller motors, and smooth surfaces will extend runtime, whilst heavier vehicles, larger motors, and rough terrain will reduce it. The 6000mAh capacity is substantial for 1/10-scale applications, putting you in the mid-to-high range of battery capacity for this vehicle class.
  • Is this battery suitable for beginners? — Yes, this battery is suitable for users aged 14 and over. However, LiPo battery care requires understanding: they must be charged with a proper LiPo charger (not a standard NiMH charger), balanced regularly, stored safely, and never fully discharged below 3 volts per cell. If you're new to lithium polymer batteries, RC Model Shop staff can provide guidance on safe charging procedures and best practices.
  • What charger do I need for this battery? — You must use a dedicated lithium polymer (LiPo) charger capable of balancing 3S batteries. This charger should support charging at 1C rate (6 amps maximum for this pack) and feature automatic cell balancing. Many modern RC chargers, including those from Hobbywing and other recognised brands, support 3S charging. Do not attempt to charge this battery with a standard NiMH charger, as this will damage the cells and pose a fire risk.
  • What is the difference between 50C and 100C discharge ratings on LiPo batteries? — The C rating indicates safe continuous discharge current multiplied by capacity in amps. A 50C battery can safely discharge at 50 times its capacity (300 amps for this 6000mAh pack), whilst a 100C battery can discharge at double that rate. For most RC car UK applications, 50C is more than sufficient—you'd only need higher C ratings for extremely large motors in very lightweight racing applications or competitive racing where maximum acceleration is critical. The Radient 50C rating provides excellent headroom for typical RC use.
  • How do I know when to replace this battery? — Replace your LiPo when it no longer holds a full charge, shows visible puffing or swelling (indicating cell damage), fails to deliver normal voltage under load, or has been physically damaged. With proper care, a quality LiPo should provide 300-500+ full charge cycles before degradation becomes significant.
