Overview

The ARRMA Ball Bearing 6x12x4mm 4x4 (2) is an essential replacement bearing set for RC enthusiasts in the UK who demand precision engineering and reliable performance from their remote control vehicles. Whether you're running a brushless RC monster truck, short course truck, stadium truck, or buggy, these premium ball bearings are engineered to deliver ultra-smooth operation in all driving conditions. As a critical component found in numerous ARRMA 4x4 models including the Big Rock 3S, Granite 3S, Senton 3S, Vorteks 3S, Typhon 3S, and larger-scale machines like the Kraton 8S and Outcast 8S, these bearings are the perfect maintenance item for keeping your RC car running at peak performance.

These high-quality ball bearings provide essential replacement parts for kit-supplied items that may wear over time with regular use. Whether you're a seasoned RC racer, a weekend basher, or someone who enjoys pushing their RC truck to its limits off-road, maintaining your bearings is crucial for sustained performance and longevity. The 6x12x4mm dimension specification makes these bearings compatible with a wide range of ARRMA 4x4 vehicles, ensuring you have the right parts for your particular model.

RC Model Shop stocks genuine ARRMA replacement parts to keep your ready-to-run RC vehicles in perfect working order. With the model number AR610031, this bearing pack represents quality engineering that ARRMA is recognised for across the RC hobby community. These are not compromised budget components—they are precision manufactured to the same exacting standards as the original parts supplied with your RC car, ensuring consistent performance and reliability every time you take your vehicle out.

Key Features

  • Premium Ball-Race Design — The premium ball-raced bearing construction delivers ultra-smooth operation under all driving conditions, whether you're bashing through rough terrain, racing on a track, or performing stunts. This precision engineering reduces friction and ensures your RC vehicle responds immediately to your controls.
  • Precision Manufacturing — Each bearing is precision manufactured to exacting tolerances, which means fast and easy installation when you need to replace worn bearings. The consistent fit ensures your RC car maintains proper alignment and handling characteristics, critical for performance vehicles like brushless RC trucks and buggies.
  • Manufactured to Consistent Tolerance — These bearings are manufactured to consistent tolerance specifications, guaranteeing safe and secure assembly every time. This consistency means you don't have to worry about fitment issues or misalignment problems that could affect your RC vehicle's handling or cause premature wear on other components.
  • Double Protective Shields — The double protective shields provide added durability and protection against dust, dirt, water, and debris that can accumulate during aggressive off-road RC driving. This feature is particularly important for UK RC enthusiasts who may encounter damp conditions or muddy terrain, helping to extend bearing life and maintain smooth operation.
  • Pack of Two Bearings — This product comes as a pair, providing you with two replacement bearings in a single purchase. Many RC vehicles require multiple bearings for drivetrain components, so this two-pack approach represents practical value for maintenance and servicing.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA Ball Bearing 6x12x4mm 4x4 (2) represents quality engineering specifically designed for the demands of modern RC vehicles. With an inner diameter of 6mm, outer diameter of 12mm, and thickness of 4mm, these bearings fit the rotating shafts and housings found throughout ARRMA 4x4 chassis designs. The ball-raced construction utilises precision-ground steel balls that roll within carefully engineered races, providing the ultra-smooth rotation required for both high-speed racing and general recreational bashing. Build quality is paramount in bearing manufacture, as even slight imperfections can introduce noise, vibration, and friction that degrades overall vehicle performance. ARRMA has invested in manufacturing processes that ensure each ball bearing meets strict quality control standards, with consistent tolerances across the entire production run. The double protective shields act as a first line of defence against contamination, which is especially important given the harsh environments that RC vehicles encounter. Whether your RC car is a 1/10 scale brushless monster truck running at full throttle, a nimble short course truck navigating tight courses, or a larger 1/5 scale speed truck pushing performance boundaries, reliable bearings are essential for smooth drivetrain operation and responsive handling.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which ARRMA RC models use the 6x12x4mm bearing? — This bearing is compatible with numerous ARRMA 4x4 vehicles including the 1/10 Big Rock 3S, Granite 3S, Senton 3S, Vorteks 3S, and Typhon 3S brushless models, as well as the brushed versions of Granite, Senton, and Vorteks in both standard and Boost 2WD variants. It's also used in larger-scale models like the 1/5 Kraton 8S and Outcast 8S. Check your vehicle's parts diagram or manual to confirm fitment for your specific model.
  • Why do my RC vehicle bearings need replacing? — Over time, bearings wear out through normal use as the ball races experience friction and the protective shields may allow some contamination to enter. Signs of worn bearings include increased noise during operation, rough feel when manually spinning wheels or drivetrain components, or difficulty achieving previous top speeds. Regular bearing replacement is part of routine RC vehicle maintenance and keeps your car performing at its best.
  • How often should I replace my RC bearings? — Bearing lifespan depends entirely on your driving style and operating conditions. Aggressive bashers and racers who push their RC vehicles hard may need to replace bearings more frequently than casual drivers. If you notice any degradation in performance or smoothness, it's time to consider replacement. The relatively low cost of these bearings makes them an economical maintenance item for keeping your vehicle in top condition.
  • Are these genuine ARRMA parts? — Yes, these are official ARRMA replacement parts with the manufacturer model number AR610031. When you purchase from RC Model Shop, you're getting authentic ARRMA components engineered to match your vehicle's specifications perfectly, ensuring compatibility and performance.
  • Do I need any special tools to install these bearings? — Most bearing installation requires only basic hand tools like hex keys and screwdrivers to access the bearing locations on your RC vehicle. Refer to your vehicle's manual for specific installation instructions. The precision manufacturing of these bearings ensures easy fit without forcing, making the installation process straightforward for RC enthusiasts of all experience levels.
