Key Features

  • 6000mAh Capacity — The substantial 6000mAh energy store provides extended runtime on a single charge, allowing you to enjoy longer sessions with your RC car, truck, or buggy before needing to return to the charger. This generous capacity is particularly beneficial for competitive racing, weekend bashing, or situations where you want to maximise your time on the track or field without interruption.
  • 50C Continuous Discharge Rating — The 50C rating means this battery can safely deliver 300 amps of continuous current (50 times the 6Ah capacity), ensuring consistent power delivery even during aggressive acceleration, high-speed runs, and sustained full-throttle operation. This discharge capability prevents voltage sag and maintains the crisp, responsive performance your RC vehicle needs for optimal handling and speed.
  • 3S (11.1V) Configuration — The three-cell series arrangement delivers 11.1V nominal voltage, the industry standard for mid-range RC electric vehicles. This voltage is perfectly matched to most modern brushless ESCs and motors found in popular RC cars, buggies, and trucks throughout the UK RC community.
  • Deans (HCT) Connector — The Deans connector (also known as HCT) is the most widely used high-current connector across the RC hobby, recognised throughout the United Kingdom and internationally. This standard connector ensures hassle-free compatibility with your existing chargers, ESCs, and distribution boards, eliminating the need for custom adapters or modifications.
  • Compact Dimensions — Measuring 155 × 48 × 28 mm, this battery pack is engineered to fit into confined battery compartments found in most modern RC chassis designs. The compact footprint doesn't compromise on capacity, allowing you to enjoy maximum energy storage without excessive weight penalties or fitment complications.
  • Soft Case Protection — The included soft case provides essential protection during storage, transport, and everyday use. Lithium polymer batteries benefit from protective housing that shields them from physical damage, puncture, and environmental hazards whilst remaining lightweight and practical for hobby use.
  • Lightweight at 450g — Despite its substantial 6000mAh capacity, the pack weighs only 450 grams, keeping your RC vehicle's weight distribution balanced and maintaining responsive handling characteristics. This weight efficiency is crucial for maintaining the performance envelope of competitive RC cars and buggies.

Technical Performance

The Radient LiPo 3S 6000mAh 11.1V 50C battery represents sophisticated energy storage engineering optimised for the demands of modern RC vehicles. The continuous 50C discharge rating translates to exceptional performance headroom—your RC car or buggy can draw up to 300 amps under full load without triggering low-voltage protection circuits or experiencing the performance degradation that occurs with undersized batteries. This capability is particularly important in brushless RC applications, where modern ESCs and high-KV motors can demand significant current draw during acceleration and full-throttle operation. The 11.1V nominal voltage is precisely calibrated for the vast majority of consumer-grade brushless ESCs available in the UK market, which typically support 2S through 6S configurations. The battery's internal resistance and cell matching have been engineered to minimise voltage sag—the temporary voltage drop that occurs when drawing heavy current—ensuring that your RC car maintains responsive throttle control and maximum speed even during sustained high-power runs. The three-cell architecture provides an optimal balance between voltage (sufficient for spirited acceleration) and capacity (substantial enough for extended runtime), making it highly versatile across different RC vehicle categories. Whether deployed in a high-speed RC buggy, a rugged RC monster truck, or a competitive stadium truck, this battery pack delivers the electrical performance characteristics that separate adequate power systems from truly capable ones. The engineering extends to cell selection and internal construction—Radient batteries employ quality LiPo cells matched for balanced charge/discharge characteristics, reducing the risk of individual cell failures and extending pack lifespan when used with proper charging protocols and storage practices.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What RC vehicles is the Radient 3S 6000mAh 50C battery suitable for? — This 3S LiPo pack is ideally suited for mid-range brushless RC cars, buggies, trucks, and truggy designs that accommodate 3S battery systems. Popular applications include competitive stadium trucks, RC buggies, short-course trucks, and various high-performance RC car platforms. The 11.1V nominal voltage and 6000mAh capacity make it particularly effective for vehicles in the 1/10 scale category, though compatibility depends on your specific vehicle's ESC rating and battery tray dimensions. Always verify that your vehicle's ESC supports 3S LiPo batteries and confirm physical battery compartment dimensions (155 × 48 × 28 mm) before purchase.
  • Is this battery pack suitable for beginners in RC hobbies? — The 14+ age recommendation reflects the technical requirements of lithium polymer battery care rather than difficulty of use. Beginners can certainly use this battery, but they should understand fundamental LiPo safety practices: never leave charging unattended, use a dedicated LiPo charger (not a standard NiMH charger), store at safe voltage levels, and inspect for swelling or damage before each use. First-time LiPo users should familiarise themselves with proper charging procedures and storage requirements. The battery itself is straightforward to use once these basics are understood.
  • How long will this battery last on a single charge in my RC vehicle? — Runtime depends entirely on your specific vehicle's power consumption, which varies based on motor size, ESC efficiency, driving style, and terrain. A typical brushless RC car might achieve 15-25 minutes of continuous running, though aggressive racing and high-speed runs consume battery faster than casual driving. The 6000mAh capacity is generous compared to smaller packs, so you'll enjoy noticeably extended sessions compared to 3000-4000mAh alternatives.
  • What charger do I need for this 3S LiPo battery? — You'll require a dedicated LiPo-compatible charger capable of balancing cells during charging. Many modern RC chargers (often called balance chargers) support 2S through 6S packs and include balance connectors allowing you to monitor individual cell voltage during charging. The Deans connector handles main charging current, while a separate balance port (typically JST or XH) connects to your charger's balancing system. Never use standard NiMH or older-style chargers with LiPo batteries.
  • What is the voltage specification and why does it matter? — The 11.1V nominal voltage represents the three 3.7V cells connected in series. New cells start at approximately 4.2V when fully charged (12.6V total pack voltage) and drop to roughly 3V when depleted (9V total pack voltage). Your ESC and vehicle are calibrated for this voltage range. Using 2S packs (7.4V) or 4S packs (14.8V) would provide different performance characteristics and potentially damage equipment not rated for those voltages.
  • How does the 50C discharge rating compare to other batteries? — The 50C rating is considered mid-to-high performance for general RC use. This means the battery can safely deliver 300 amps continuously (6Ah × 50C = 300A). Lower-rated batteries (e.g., 25C) provide half this current capacity and experience more voltage sag under load. Higher-rated batteries (e.g., 100C) are designed for extreme racing applications and offer minimal improvement for casual use whilst costing significantly more. The 50C rating strikes an excellent balance for most RC cars, buggies, and competitive applications.
  • Will this battery fit my RC car? — The 155 × 48 × 28 mm dimensions fit most modern RC vehicle battery compartments designed for 3S LiPo packs. However, some vehicles have space constraints or different form factors. Measure your vehicle's battery tray before ordering. If your vehicle requires a different battery type (such as 2S for smaller cars or 4S for more powerful trucks), you'll need to select an alternative pack rather than forcing this one into incompatible space.
  • How should I store this battery when not in use? — LiPo batteries should be stored at rest voltage (approximately 3.85V per cell, or about 11.55V total for a 3S pack) in a cool, dry location away from flammable materials. Many users store batteries in sealed LiPo storage bags or boxes. Avoid storing fully charged packs for extended periods, as this stresses the cells and reduces lifespan. Check stored batteries monthly and top-charge if voltage drops below 11.4V to prevent over-discharge damage.
