Key Features
- 150mm Extended Length — This extension lead provides an extra 150mm of cable reach, allowing you to mount servos further away from the receiver without being restricted by standard lead lengths, which is crucial when designing custom servo layouts or working with larger RC vehicles where space is limited.
- Male and Female JR Connectors — The lead features a male JR plug at one end and a female JR plug at the other, making it compatible with standard JR servo connectors used across ARRMA vehicles and many other RC brands, ensuring universal compatibility with your existing equipment.
- Single Extension Lead — You receive one complete 150mm servo extension lead per purchase, providing a straightforward plug-and-play solution that doesn't require any tools, soldering, or technical knowledge to install.
- ARRMA Official Component — As a genuine ARRMA spare part manufactured to OEM specifications, this extension lead meets the same quality standards as components supplied with ARRMA ready to run RC vehicles, ensuring reliability and longevity.
- Proven Compatibility — This extension lead is listed as standard equipment for multiple ARRMA RTR models including the VORTEKS 4X4, FURY 223S, and RAIDER XL, confirming its suitability for a range of RC vehicles and servo configurations.
Technical Performance
The ARRMA Extension Lead AR390196 is engineered with quality connectors designed to maintain reliable electrical contact and signal integrity across the extended 150mm cable length. The male JR connector securely interfaces with female servo headers on your receiver or servo controller, whilst the female JR connector at the opposite end accepts standard male servo plugs, creating a seamless extension that introduces no signal loss or performance degradation. The cable assembly uses properly gauge wiring to ensure efficient power delivery and servo control signal transmission, critical factors for responsive steering, throttle control, and other servo functions in competitive RC racing or recreational bashing. The connectors are colour-coded in NERO (black) finish, matching ARRMA's professional aesthetic and making cable routing and organisation easier during vehicle assembly and maintenance. Built to the same durability standards as ARRMA's ready to run RC cars and spare parts, this extension lead withstands the vibration, shock loads, and thermal cycling typical of RC vehicle operation, whether you're running a brushless ESC setup with high-performance servos or a brushed motor configuration in an RTR model.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a JR servo extension lead and why would I need one for my RC car? — A JR servo extension lead allows you to connect servos that are positioned beyond the reach of the standard servo lead supplied with your RC vehicle's receiver. This is essential when building custom configurations, working with vehicles that have servos mounted in locations requiring longer cable runs, or when optimising weight distribution in competitive RC racing setups.
- Is this extension lead compatible with my ARRMA ready to run RC vehicle? — Yes, this ARRMA extension lead is listed as standard parts compatibility for the 1/10 VORTEKS 4X4 RTR, 1/10 FURY 223S 4X4 RTR brushless short course truck, and 1/8 RAIDER XL 2WD RTR models. If your ARRMA vehicle uses JR servo connectors, this extension lead will work with it. Check your vehicle's manual to confirm connector type.
- How many extension leads do I need? — Most RC vehicles have multiple servos, typically one for steering and one or more for throttle control. You may want to purchase multiple extension leads if you need to extend cables to several servo positions. Each extension lead extends the reach by 150mm, so you can chain multiple leads together if greater extension is required.
- What is the difference between this JR extension lead and extension leads for other connector types? — JR connectors are a specific type of servo plug design, distinct from other formats like Futaba S-connectors or Spektrum connectors. You must use the correct connector type for your receiver and servos. This ARRMA extension lead features JR connectors on both ends, making it compatible exclusively with JR-equipped systems.
- Can this extension lead be used with servos from other manufacturers? — Yes, provided those servos have JR connectors. The extension lead is connector-agnostic and works with any quality servo featuring male JR plugs, whether from ARRMA, Hitec, Savöx, Spektrum, or other brands using the JR standard.
- Is soldering required to install this extension lead? — No, installation is completely tool-free and soldering-free. Simply unplug your servo from the receiver, connect the female end of the extension lead to your receiver's servo header, then plug your servo into the male end of the extension lead. The process takes seconds.
